great for hot weather
overall it works great but the elastic strips are fragile , mines stuck to the carpet and when i picked the vest up it tore the elastic .

Great jacket subsitution for the summer time.
I usually ride around with the ICON Contra Jacket, but during the summer time, it is so nice to ride around with just a t-shirt on. Eventhough, it feels great to ride around without a jacket, I hate not having something on to protect me. I debated back and forth on whether or not to purchase the ICON Stryker Vest, and when I finally decided to get it, I was so worried I was going to order the wrong size. I am 5'11, 168 lbs, 41" chest and have a slim abdominal area. I know the sizing chart says that if you are over 40" on your chest, to go with LG/XLG, but I was leary to do so because I usually wear mediums on everything. I ended up ordering what the chart said, LG/XLG, and when I got it, I think it fits perfect. The chest fits perfect and the front sits low enough to where it doesn't look awkward. It fits decently snug and it is extremely lightweight. As soon as I got it, I threw it on and went for an hour long ride. I barely noticed that I even had it on, and it kept me nice and cool for the entire ride.
On the negative side of this vest, I wish you could tighten the abdominal area just a little bit more without taking it somewhere to get it modified. Eventhough it fits good, the abdominal area could be just a little bit tighter. With this situation, I considered buying the S/M, but I was worried it would be too small and short in the front and back. The only other thing I am worried about is the velcro and the elastic on the side straps. Time will only tell how long they will last.
Overall, I love the vest. Yes, it does not cover as much as a jacket and there isn't that much protection, but in the end, it is better than wearing nothing. I do not in anyway regret this purchase, so if you're debating on whether or not to get it, hopefully this review has helped you with your decision. I would recommend this vest to everyone that doesn't want to ride around with a jacket in the blazing sun. It makes riding in the summer time ten times more pleasurable.

Great for summer riding
I got this for summer riding. Fits well & looks great. Combined with the elbow and knee guards, this makes for a great set.

Gangster
I bought this vest with style in mind more often than protection, because I’m young and dumb, but I am glad I did. I got this vest in SM/MD all black and I get complements everywhere I go. I dislike that the front ends at my ribs and lets my beer belly stick out, but that’s my only gripe. This is my second Icon product and I recommend their stuff. Quality.

Sweet Spine Protection
My wife bought this for me to use when I ride on the street. I have a 40 inch chest and wear the L/XL. I'm glad we went with the size up, it does run a tiny bit small. The vest is comfortable and doesn't ride up. The spine protection is long enough to reach the pant line. I would have like to have seen more armor in the chest and then it would be perfect for dual sport as well as street. I like that it’s not bulky; I can wear it under my jacket on cold or wet days.

Great product!
Bought this for upcoming riding season. Wear it when its too hot to wear my textile jacket but still want protection. I am 5'7" and 150lbs and SM/MD fits perfect. Nice and fit. It also gets a thumbs up in style! Looks great on me ive gotten many complents. Great job again ICON!

Awesome Vest
I'm about 5'2 and the SM/MD size fit me well. I wear it over my jackets, and never ride without it. Easy to use, easy to maintain, and it's comfortable. I think it's self-explanatory why you can't fold it, and that you should hang it to keep it's shape.
I usually choose to wear the vest, because it's easier to take off and because summer hit a bit early.

icon stryker vest review
this is buy far one of the coolest looking vests in the market, and that's probably the only reason i bought one. this vest by itself is probably not sufficient enough for protection although it is better than no protection at all. if your normally a medium don't go for the small-medium vest get the larger one.

Glen,I got a L/XL and over a tee-shirt it is as tight as it will go, and fits good. I am 5'11" and 185 lbs. 42 inch chest. I would say that it depends on how thick your jumper is, if its pretty thin I would say you may want to go with the md.
