Variable Ventilation System
Upper Air Intake Vent is positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior
Top outlet vent is separate from the Shell-
Integrated Spoiler, allowing it to be positioned for optimum flow-through ventilation

I have a huge head. I measured it to be roughly 24.5" around, which puts me between XL and XXL. I went with the XL, and it fits great.
The whole helmet oozes quality, and you can't really appreciate the graphics until you have the helmet in hand.

This is my second helmet, after a Nolan Trilogy. Worn about 200 miles so far.
Good: Solid, well built, not heavy, good ventilation Not as good: Some whistling around the seals. I understand from other riders that that deminishes with wear, but not yet. I wish the snap for the strap slack was a magnet instead like on at least one other brand.

I tried a bunch of different helmets and for my oval head shape this one fit the best. It's my first helmet so I had no brand allegiance. The chin guard has more room then the Bell helmets I tried and is softer so it flexes better when you move your mouth. The airflow is good and it's not to loud. Overall pleased with the helmet.

Love my RF 1100. Proves you get what you pay for. Great features, Shape, Style, and design. Won't go back to a cheap helmet. No more head buffeting while screaming down the highway. No more Shield popping up when shoulder looking. No more stinky helmet because I can Clean every material in the helmet. FIrst look and touch of the helmet you can tell of the high quality. Airflow is amazing. You feel a sheet of air come from lower face vent to your forehead and through. I've had a $300 helmet that was all looks but no design and had none of the aforementioned features. WJB. Hope you love this helmet as much as I do.

My 2nd helmet and it blows the other one out of the water! Fits great is super comfterble and air flow makes it super cool inside(sometimes have to close them when it's too good). Def would recommend the RF-1100 to anyone!

So far, I've only owned one other helmet - an HJC Snow cross Model. The quality of this helmet trumps that. I wanted a good reputable brand for my first motorcycle helmet, so I went with Shoei. Everything on this helmet is solid, all while providing excellent ventilation and being very lightweight. I did have the visor whistle out of the box, but a small adjustment on the positioning screw took care of that at highway speeds. There is always a whistle with the visor up…but you can’t fault that. The finish on this helmet is not very forgiving. I got the glossy black and it scratches easily. Other than that, a solid deal. Protect your squash – buy this bucket!
