Great helmet as expected from Shoei!
This helmet was purchased for my wife (passenger). The picture doesn't do the helmet justice. 5 stars on looks alone. When we pulled this helmet out of the box it just looked even better than what we expected! Quality is just as you would expect from the best name in helmets in my opinion...excellent! I can't really speak to the noise level as I don't wear the helmet (too small for me, I wear an XL and she wears a S), however I do know that she is very pleased with it in both noise level and comfort. Overall very pleased with the purchase...no regrets!

Great Value!
You can't beat the price on this light weight SNELL helmet. Very happy with the purchase.

Amazing Helmet
I bought this helmet last summer and thought I would give my review now, since I have put in a lot of riding time with it.
This is my third helmet (first shoei) and boy oh boy is it amazing. I have it in the matte black. Barely any noise at speed, it's light and looks hot.
It was comfortable for me from the start.
I ride a zx6r and everytime I go out I don't even notice it and can focus on riding. Also people, especially chicks, love the look. :)

Fantastic Helmet, would reccomend to anyone!
At first I was skeptical paying about $500 for a helmet. I read all of the reviews that Revzilla had to offer, watched their videos, which were very helpful, and went to my local Shoei dealer and tried a couple on. The local dealer was running a special, but even on sale their price could not match Revzilla's, especially with the Zilla cash that they offer. Finally I broke down and bought the helmet, and it is the best piece of gear that I have purchased to date. I have had three other helmets, two scorpions and a speed and strength, neither of which have came even close to being able to compare with my Shoei. The air flow through the this helmet is phenomenal, you can actually feel the air flow which was next to impossible in the other three helmets. If the helmet fogs up at a stop, the second you start moving again it instantly defogs, which could not be said for the other helmets. The only other helmets that I will buy new will be Shoei's, and I would recommend them to any of my friends who ride!

worn only once but nice so far
great fit, as i expect from Shoei. XS is my size and fits like a glove. vision is awesome and graphics are great. worn only once in cool weather so have not used the vents yet. worn with the new dainese del mar jacket that has collar bone protectors and felt uncomfortable and restricted in head movement. will try without the 5 piece collar bone protectors and see if it is more comfortable. Short term use hence only 4 stars.

Fell short of my expectations
After reading all of the reviews and speaking with multiple owners of the RF1100 I had high expectations. My last helmet was an Arai Quantum Okada so that is the easiest thing for me to compare it to.
Noise - The Arai wins this one HANDS DOWN. I had several people tell me the RF1100 was a quiet helmet. I'm guessing their last helmet was a sieve. I have a full fairing bike with a double bubble windscreen. Anything above 50 mph is deafening with the Shoei. The Arai was MUCH quieter in every situation, ie sitting up, head checks.
Comfort - The Shoei wins this one. I find the RF1100 to be a very comfortable helmet to wear. Easy to get on/off. Liner is very soft and comfortable. Alternate cheek pad sizes are available which I will probably take advantage of as the current ones aren't breaking-in to my satisfaction.
Airflow - The Shoei wins this one as well. While it doest flow as much air as I expected it would, it definitely flows more than my Arai does. I have a shaved head so I thought opening the top vents would create air rushing around my head (which I would love). I have not found this to be the case. The chin vent flows the most air and I find opening it up all the way increases what I can feel at other parts of the helmet.
Fogging - This helmet SUCKS to ride in mild temperatures. I have to open the visor at every single stop. It is maddening. In town it's up/down/up/down/up/down. The pin lock visor should be mandatory on this helmet. I do not have this same problem with my aria for whatever reason. I am going to order the pin lock system today as I cannot stand to ride the bike in town any longer with the fogging issue.
Visibility - I do not know the specs on each helmet, but I find my peripheral vision greatly hindered in the Shoei. With my Arai, I simply turn my head a bit and can check blind spots. With the Shoei, I have to sit up and turn my whole upper torso to check blind spots.
Those are the main points I wanted to touch on with this helmet. I really expected more out of it.
I know some will find what I am about to say heresy, but check out the HJC RPHA helmet. I was VERY impressed with this helmet when I checked it out in the store. I have never liked HJC helmets even a little, but the RPHA is really impressive. Worth a look at least. Hope this helps somebody.
