After years of wearing BMW helmets (Schuberth - they are legal here is Australia) I decided to try a Shoei non flip helmet. after searching the 2012 Shoei range I settled on the black silver and yellow chroma. I ordered a dark smoke CW13 visor as well. When it arrived I could not believe the quality of the helmet. The graphics are fantastic no photo can do them justice. I took it next door to show my riding mate and it caught the light - the white is pearlised - cool!!! First ride the temp was 40 Celcius - I wear a pilots skull cap because I sweat a lot in the BMW lids. Decided not to wear it - opened all the vents and wow it was like someone had switched on the air con - this thing flows superbly - arrived at the bike cafe in the hills fresh and cool - even the lining was dry. I am a Shoei convert for life. So if you are in the market for a new lid - and you value your head - Go a SHOEI CHROMA - dang thing should be in the art gallery. Oh and if you think that air flow means noise think again - considering the air being forced through the helmet it was still quieter than the BMW. (and the visor actually seals off - note for Schuberth)

I bought this helmet after trying a TON on at the International Motorycycle Show in NYC. Getting it on sale was a bonus. My previous helmet fit alright, but this one is incredible. It has great visibility, comfortable padding, and great air flow and features. I think my next step will be a black out face shield...

I purchased a RF-1100 to replace my Shark Evoline ST because it was too heavy. I'm very happy with this helmet. I went up to the Revzilla store and worked with Bobby (the best customer service) who walked me through several brands and models. The Shoei just fit the best and had the features I wanted. The removable liner was a must have for me and all the interior material is very comfortable. From my perspective, the venting is very good. The 4 exit vents in the rear of the helmet alone keep thing nice and cool but with the front 2 open it really pushes air through the helmet. Peripheral vision is excellent on this helmet. I also installed the SENA SMH10 with no problem as well as the pin lock visor. The detent for airflow is an excellent feature. I have spend hours with this helmet on and it has remained comfortable during extended rides. Overall I'm very happy with the RF-1100 and I see it lasting a long time.

It's winter here so I have not tested the helmet on the road yet. I am very pleased with the quality of the helmet overall and how light it feels. It is snug getting into it, but once on, feels very comfortable and secure. I purchased the small and would not want a different size, it feels just right once it's on, and I followed their sizing quide. I purchased a lightly tinted shield to go with it. The qualities I was after in making this purchase were: reduced wind noise, lightweight, aerodynamics, and looks/color. Its hard to stop looking at the graphics, they are so well done. This exceeded all expectations so far and knowing Shoei, it will perform as expected on the road too.

This is my first expensive helmet. Bought a full face out of necessity two years ago when a bumble hit hit my chin at 60mph- bought an HJC 30 minutes later- was on sale and matched my bike. It was fine for 2 years then decided to upgrade. Wow had no idea how bad my old helmet was until I got this one! I love the look (chroma), the shape is awesome and it is ultra comfortable on. Lighter than my old one and way more aerodynamic. Added a Sena bluetooth which fits and works perfectly on it. I get a little whistling at higher speeds- but so much better than my other helmet. In high winds it didn't push my head like the other one. The fit is awesome and I just feel safer with it on. I love it- and love the ease of swapping out lenses.

Great helmet with great look. mean! fits well, quiet and comfortable. I love wearing my skull cap helmet but at highway speeds and no wind shield, it can get a little crazy. Safety is a big concern and this helmet is about as good as it gets. The graphica are wonderful and the face shield provides a nice seal that allows a controlled environment inside the helmet. There is so much air flow inside that I actually am cooler in this than my shorty helmet. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a good helmet at a higher price point.

Going from an Xpeed Helmet, this Shoei is extremely quiet and super light compared to the other. Air flow is awesome, even at slow speeds I still feel the cooling effect. The visor does fog up a bit more than I like in cooler weather, but it is 80-90% humidity most of the time. Once it warms up though, this helmet shines!! There's very little buffeting, if none at all, and it really supports the head's shape. One way to clean the visor is to use Plexus plastic cleaner, it works wonders.
Overall best buy for me ever, can't wait for the summer to roll around.

The fit is true to size, very comfortable with good airflow when I want it. I like the feature that pushes out the faceshield slightly to prevent fogging. Peripheral vision is very good also.
