in the moment i put the helmet and ride my bike....i feel like mick doohan o maybe valentino rossi, the helmet is just amazing
the helmet is very comfortable, the noise level is perfect because you can heard the cars and others things and in the same time "feel your bike".
In highways is amazing, the same weekend i received it, i made a 300 km trip, perfect movement , the temperature inside the helmet was very fresh.

My first fullface and love it
Had a Yamaha 175 Enduro some 40 yrs ago and the only prior helmet I ever had was a low end open face with no shield. Well, I just got a creampuff low miles 2003 Suzuki SV650 after all these years and desired much better protection at my age.
The Shoei Med fits me well (snug) and seems to be breaking in so as not to apply so much pressure on my cheeks as it first did.
Very pleased in all respects.

A Gold Wing rider's perspective
I wanted to love this helmet! It is well made and well-designed. I wore a Shoei J-Wing (3/4 helmet) for many years and loved the helmet. My brother tried to convince me to upgrade to a full-face helmet for more protection, so I tried the Quest. I ride a Gold Wing, which provides excellent wind protection with its fairing and windscreen. I found the Quest ventilation to be totally inefficient behind such a windscreen, causing the helmet to be too hot for temps above 75 degrees. The faceshield would fog up whenever I had it closed, which made it totally useless in the rain. So now I have gone to an Arai 3/4 helmet, sold the Quest on Ebay, and am comfortable once again! I'm not knocking the Quest.... It's just not right for you GoldWingers!

Great Starting Helmet
This helmet is great. I tried on all the other major brand helmets, this thing was tight and gave me a headache for the first few hours (mind you, it was my very first helmet and i hate having things on my head) So i knew that was a big contributing factor. Surely enough after taking it off/on for a good few hours it fit perfectly snug, no headaches anymore or anything. The airflow is fantastic, Im extremely impressed with the airflow in this helmet for simply having 3intakes.
Next helmet will either be the rf100 or bell rs1.

Expected much more from this brand...
1. Loud high pitch noise in the helmet when speed reaches about 60 km/h - tried everything, cannot get rid of it.
2. Faceshield is fogging consistently - unless you keep it open which adds to the noise level.
Overall the helmet is very comfortable, replacing shield to tinted one is so much easier that on my old helmet (Scorpion Exo 700), but this high pitch noise and fogging is definitely two huge issues - I didn't have any of these problems with my old helmet.
Somewhat disappointed in my purchase.

Good helmet for the money
I was looking for the quietest helmet I could find, for a sport touring bike. This new Qwest is quieter than my old Arai, but still not as quiet as I hoped. I really wanted to buy the new Schuberth S2, but I was right between a L and XL in their sizes. After a 1600 miles to/from the east coast, I can honestly say this Qwest is comfortable. The anti-fogging isn't as good as the Arai, but the more aerodynamic vents are more quieter, with less whistling. The size is definitely a more round oval, especially lower in the helmet. I ordered and installed the larger cheek pads to snug up the fit, but overall a good fit for my 59.5cm head. I'm not crazy about the cheek pad design. There is a long plastic trim piece on each, that wraps almost 1/3 the way around the helmet, between the shell and the inner liner. Fine, unless you are trying to get the wires for a helmet communicator to fit in.

Premum helmet at reasonable price
I've just started riding again after 30+years and was looking for a high quality helmet. I'm pleased with the fit and weight but a little surprised at the noise level. I've only used worn it in 85'F conditions so I really can't comment on airflow/cooling.
