Shoei Qwest Ethereal Helmet
Excellent helmet, vented for an upright seating position. Helmet fits well and was comfortable in a size large helmet for a 7 3/8 size head.

I've had a few different helmets but I always go back to Shoei. For me nothing fits better, nothing is more comfortable. I like the visor lock and the ability to just barely crack it open as I live near the ocean and it is always humid in the morning and fogging no matter what helmet is always an issue. I can't really tell if this is a quiet helmet or noisy as I'll be honest they all seem the same to me. If I want less noise I wear earplugs. Anyway it is all about fit and comfort for me and the shoei qwest easily pulls through.

I can see!!
Okay, I found that my old helmet may have been a bit on the small side... The folks at revzilla helped me determine that I should go for a medium instead of the small. After I received the helmet I sent back pictures of me wearing the helmet and they let me know that all was good with the size. The opening is wider as well so I can see the road AND the instrument panel without moving my head up and down. :)
It also features a switch to push the visor away from the rubber seal without flipping the visor up to get rid of fog. I wear glasses so this is a must have... even if I had the pin lock system my glasses still fog in the cooler days. Flip this switch and I am golden. It does introduce significant wind noise, however, I can safely close it on the freeway where I will get plenty of air circulation and do not need it open.
My old helmet was a 5 year old Shoei, so I stayed with the same brand. I heard this helmet was one of the quieter helmets for a great price. They were right! It is a significant reduction in wind noise.
I did add on my Sena Bluetooth system to the helmet. There are pockets for the speakers, I ended up using the spacers that come with the system to put the speakers right on my ears instead of sitting so far back in the helmet.
I ride a BMW R1150RT and with the windscreen in the full up position (and at 50+ MPH) the wind flow is such that it is perfect for this helmet. With the top vent open, as well as the back 2... I get great airflow. If I slow down/ move the windscreen down, I will need to open the chin vent to keep the air flowing... but either way, you get great airflow. I haven't tested this in the hot summer yet, but I have good confidence based on current results I will be nice and cool!

in the moment i put the helmet and ride my bike....i feel like mick doohan o maybe valentino rossi, the helmet is just amazing
the helmet is very comfortable, the noise level is perfect because you can heard the cars and others things and in the same time "feel your bike".
In highways is amazing, the same weekend i received it, i made a 300 km trip, perfect movement , the temperature inside the helmet was very fresh.

My first fullface and love it
Had a Yamaha 175 Enduro some 40 yrs ago and the only prior helmet I ever had was a low end open face with no shield. Well, I just got a creampuff low miles 2003 Suzuki SV650 after all these years and desired much better protection at my age.
The Shoei Med fits me well (snug) and seems to be breaking in so as not to apply so much pressure on my cheeks as it first did.
Very pleased in all respects.

A Gold Wing rider's perspective
I wanted to love this helmet! It is well made and well-designed. I wore a Shoei J-Wing (3/4 helmet) for many years and loved the helmet. My brother tried to convince me to upgrade to a full-face helmet for more protection, so I tried the Quest. I ride a Gold Wing, which provides excellent wind protection with its fairing and windscreen. I found the Quest ventilation to be totally inefficient behind such a windscreen, causing the helmet to be too hot for temps above 75 degrees. The faceshield would fog up whenever I had it closed, which made it totally useless in the rain. So now I have gone to an Arai 3/4 helmet, sold the Quest on Ebay, and am comfortable once again! I'm not knocking the Quest.... It's just not right for you GoldWingers!
