Great product My Sena SM5- FM radios are the single best piece of electronic gear I have ever bought for cycling. These headsets, make them sound just that much better. Well done Sena. December 16, 2013
Definitely an improvement The sound quality is improved over the speaker that come with the SMH5, but it is still not as good as quality ear buds. They do give better bass response. September 30, 2013
A good replacement for the original These speakers are a good replacement for the original, not great, but good. I listen to music turned down very low just to have some good background "noise" versus wind, cars, etc. I also wear earplugs and have worn a balaclava, and I can still hear the music and take phone calls with no sound issues. The speakers occasionally come off the velcro, but I replaced with a better velcro and there are no issues. If your'e looking for something with really great sound, these are not the ones. Mostly all the music sounds like its in the mid-range, so you won't hear the high treble or low bass. September 30, 2013
Immediate upgrade I bought these when I bought the SMH-5 and never used the stock headphones. These are great! The sound quality is better than I ever expected, talk radio is loud and clear, and even at full highway speed music is quite good. For the extra bucks it is worth buying these to upgrade the system. Buy'em For the price, how could you not upgrade. these speakers are MUCH better than the stock ones. you won't be disappointed. August 15, 2013
Nice upgrade for the Sena SMH5 I got these speaker because the stock ones left something to be desired. These are definitely better, worth the cost, I'd say. July 15, 2013
Inexpensive upgrade I ordered one of these for my SMH5 dual pack. This unit is definitely louder and better than the default speakers. I felt that the original speakers were adequate on their own, unless you want more bass from the SMH5. That's not a big deal for everyone. I considered the base speakers loud enough on their own. These are even louder. The bass deliver is decent, so you should have a better music listening experience. These speakers aren't world-class, but they are a nice improvement for just $20. At that price point you can expect a solid but not spectacular sound. They are actually louder than I expected considering the low price. No idea how long these speakers will last. If it's more than a few years that's a bonus. The quality seems good, wiring is fine and doesn't seem flimsy. The ease of use is as simple as it gets. Unplug the old speakers and pop these guys in. These are slightly larger than the default speakers, so if you've already installed you may need to clear more space in your helmet. In my case with a Nolan this was a good thing. I drilled out a bit of foam and the speakers packed tightly into the ear-holes. Now they stay in without any adhesive. The default speakers need to use adhesive velcro to stay in place. May 30, 2013
Must Have With SMH5 While the speakers that come with the SMH5 are fine for conversation, they are somewhat lacking for music. Harsh and screechy at elevated volume. The upgraded speakers are better - I can enjoy the music I stream from my phone while riding. Don't expect miracles here; you won't get great sound from any helmet speaker considering the environment. These are a good (cheap) alternative to those unwilling to wear ear buds. April 29, 2013

DESprinter: Yes, but not by a lot. Make sure your source levels are set high enough. I've found the SMH5 will drive these speakers to very load levels if the source provides high enough levels to the SMH5. Apr 29, 2013

Ninja250Noob: I wear ear plugs too and feel like the large speakers are louder than the small ones. I still will have to turn them most of the way up on the highway. Nov 8, 2012
