Scorpion EXO-R2000 Helmet - Solid Colors

The EXO R2000 is Scorpion's flagship performance race helmet. Built with exclusive TCT™ composite shell construction, the lightweight EXO-2000 was developed by Scorpion engineers with input from MotoGP™ riders and tested on the track as well as in the lab. Scorpion's exclusive Ellip-Tec™ ratchet technology ensures a tight seal around the shield while the advanced aero-tuned ventilation system produces generous airflow and circulation throughout the helmet.

The aerodynamically designed tear-drop shell shape minimizes buffeting at high speeds and the AirFit® cheekpad system ensures a custom snug fit. The Scorpion EXO-R2000 comes equipped with Emergency Release cheek pads, a standard EverClear® shield PLUS a bonus Dark Smoke EverClear® shield. Pinlock® MaxVision®- ready flat shields with tearoff posts are available as an accessory for the track (sold separately). Scorpion's DNA is infused into every facet of the EXO-R2000 and the result is a new benchmark for quality and value in a premium helmet.

  • Elip-Tec® Ratchet System - Easy, secure, tool-less faceshield changes in seconds. Also pulls the faceshield against the eyeport gasket when closed to ensure a proper seal
  • Emergency Release System - Tabs located under the neck roll allow easy removal of the cheekpads in case of emergency
  • Six intake air ports across the front of the helmet force cool air in while 10 exhaust vents maximize exhaust of hot air

Hello,

I noticed the video stated the helmet was optimized for the 3/4 and tucked position while saying it worked in all riding positions. Do you have any experience with its upright performance or know if scorpion is planning on coming out with an upright version of this helmet?

Answer: 
Because the helmet hasn't been released, we do not have any on road experience with the Scorpion EXO-R2000 Helmet yet. Consider this helmets main competition, the RF-1100, which works more or less in all riding positions, tuck is not the greatest. That being said, this helmet will work ok in the upright riding position but works best in a tuck or 3/4. We do not have any information about other Scorpion Helmets being released specifically designed for the standard riding position at this time.

Scorpion has informed us that the EXO-R2000 weighs approximately 3.3lbs - 3.5lbs. To our understanding, the exact weight is still in the works.
