Scorpion EXO-R2000 Helmet - Solid Colors

The EXO R2000 is Scorpion's flagship performance race helmet. Built with exclusive TCT composite shell construction, the lightweight EXO-2000 was developed by Scorpion engineers with input from MotoGP riders and tested on the track as well as in the lab. Scorpion's exclusive Ellip-Tec ratchet technology ensures a tight seal around the shield while the advanced aero-tuned ventilation system produces generous airflow and circulation throughout the helmet.

The aerodynamically designed tear-drop shell shape minimizes buffeting at high speeds and the AirFit cheekpad system ensures a custom snug fit. The Scorpion EXO-R2000 comes equipped with Emergency Release cheek pads, a standard EverClear shield PLUS a bonus Dark Smoke EverClear shield. Pinlock MaxVision- ready flat shields with tearoff posts are available as an accessory for the track (sold separately). Scorpion's DNA is infused into every facet of the EXO-R2000 and the result is a new benchmark for quality and value in a premium helmet.

Features:

  • TCT Composite Shell - Developed exclusively by Scorpion and consisting of a proprietary 5 layer blend of fiberglass, Aramid and organic poly-resin fibers
  • AirFit- Permits a rider to personalize helmet fit through air adjustable cheek pads
  • EverClear no-fog face shield - Optically-correct shield with state-of-the art fog-free technology and anti-scratch hardened coating
  • KwikWick II - Moisture-wicking helmet liner and cheek pads are breathable, easily removable and washable
  • KwickFit cheek pads accommodate easy on and off for most common styles of eye glasses
  • Elip-Tec Ratchet System - Easy, secure, tool-less face shield changes in seconds. Also pulls the faceshield against the eyeport gasket when closed to ensure a proper seal
  • Emergency Release System - Tabs located under the neck roll allow easy removal of the cheek pads in case of emergency
  • Six intake air ports across the front of the helmet force cool air in while 10 exhaust vents maximize exhaust of hot air
  • Titanium Double D-rings
  • Includes Aero Skirt for increased aerodynamics and reduced wind noise
  • 5 year warranty
  • 4 shell sizes
  • Snell 2010 Certified

Note: Includes both clear and dark smoke face shields.

The Best of the Best!!
This Helmet really impressed me the first time (I bought the R2000 Dispatch first) that I wanted to buy another one, and since I needed a solid black helmet, I went with Scorpion again. I love everything about this helmet, very stylish, comfortable, great airflow while being quiet as well, and the best part is that it comes with the Dark Smoke face shield. I recommend this helmet to everybody.

Packed with features @ what ? $369 it's a BARGAIN !!!
It's a fantastic helmet for the price !! I will not go over the features and details Revzilla made it clear on the video.
I am coming from a Shoei X-11 and the R2000 build quality, comfort, ventilation and overall feature set make it a leading contender in the premium helmet market. This is my first Scorpion and I ride daily a Speed triple and the helmet provide everything I am looking for.
Good Job on this one scorpion

Great for everyday ride!
I was debating between Bell RS-1 and I decided to go with Exo-R2000 to save a bit of money and it seemed to have more features and I do not regret at all. I finally got to try this helmet on the street and I love it! It does feel a bit tight on my cheeks, but other than that, it fits well, and feels fairly comfortable. The airflow is amazing as I thought my shield was open when it was actually closed. It doesn't bother me at all while riding and has tons of features for its price. Also comes with a smoked shield, which makes the helmet look even better. It does seem to have a bigger shell than other Large size helmet, but still feels light and sturdy. Excellent packaging and excellent helmet overall. Highly recommended to anyone that likes to cruise and speed!

You can't beat this helemt for the price
I was originally going to get a Shoei RF-1200, but decided to gamble on the Scorpion EXO-R2000. And I'm glad I did. Fit and comfort are on par with the Shoei. I would say that weight is comparable as well. I would appreciate a little more air flow though, mainly at lower speeds, without having to ride around with the visor open. Noise hasn't been an issue as of yet. The visor fogged up ever so slightly on my last ride, but that could have been because the humidity was up. Otherwise, vision is fine. Overall I'm super pleased with the helmet and do not regret not forking over more cash for the Shoei or a similarly priced/featured helmet.

Pretty good, thought it would be better
Had this for about a month now and, its pretty good. The only issue I have had is every time I ride for more then 30 minutes, when I get home and take it off I can't hear anything really for about 45 minutes because of the droning noise. Not a huge issue its just kind of loud for me.

Good Priced Helmet
Was looking for my first helmet and was down to this and a Shoe RF1200. Went to the store and tried on the Shoei, too tight for me and ordered this.

Only complaint is their seems to be a lack of soft padding on the crown of your head, but it's not noticeable unless you're pushing down on the helmet.

Tight fit. A little too tight the first few times putting it on but after break in it fits really nice. Size chart right on point. Good amount of air flow. Nice storage bag and extra tinted faceshield. Great helmet for under $400.

Great helmet . Air fit cheek pad system is great. Surprised.
I love this helmet. When I first got it and rode with all the vents open it was pretty loud. When you slightly tuck or ride a little less than full upright it is surprisingly quiet.
After taking it on a 1500 mile trip I am very happy with this helmet. Nice weight , the main reason I bought this in addition to the price . I have had more than one neck injury so weight is a factor. As it breaks in and I figure out what the best combination of vents are , the noise is much more manageable. I ride behind a windshield almost all of the time.
The features I like the most: The air-fit system for the cheek pads. I use this a lot. At higher speeds it really helps quiet down the helmet and to keep it rock steady on my head. No buffeting when I head check at all. The weight of the helmet. Comfort . The more I wear it the more I love it.
I was really pleased with the quality of this helmet. Some of the scorpion helmets I have looked at were kind of junky but not this one. The EXO-R2000 is a top notch helmet. I like the way it is set up. Lots of cool features that you actually enjoy using. I know it is a race helmet but I toured on a trike with it and loved it. I have had Arai, Shoei, HJC, Nexx, and a couple of others. I think this is one of the best helmets I have ever had. I hope when I go to purchase another helmet in a few years these are still around. One more thing , the visor seals up tightly and does not leak water in the rain. The anti-fog works reasonably well. I wear glasses under the helmet so the glasses fog up more than the shield does. When going under freeway speeds I use the shield lock mechanism and raise the shield for city venting, anti fog and cooling off.
All in all very happy with this helmet. Best helmet bag I have ever seen free with helmet. Dark visor with visor bag included with helmet. Well done Scorpion . Value , and an awesome helmet on one deal.
Revzilla rocks as always. Got the helmet to me intact and undamaged in two days for very reasonable rates. So I could have it to go on my trip with.

bang for the buck with a lot of features and functionalities and great design and its price. comes with a smoke shield, which was one of the best reasons to choose for and good fit for my head

Great value and very good build quality. One of my riders high-sided last year and this helmet did exactly what it needed to do. Given the beating it took, it is no longer usable, but again. 60 MPH crash and no no cuts, no bumps no bruises. This product stood up admirably.

Good looking helmet, simple.

Good air flow, the extra visor is great and I use it normally instead of the clear one.

Does this helmet have pockets for speakers?
Jason R on Aug 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: While I havent used speakers before, I can tell you that the helmet is tight to your ears. This helmet, while doing headchecks backwards, kinda pushes into your ear more to, I assume give better aerodynamics and decrease airflow coming in.

It's very much a racer helmet, but thats not to say it isn't a great helmet for city riding. I've owned a Bell Vortex, HJC FG-17 and CL-16, an Icon Alliance as well as a Shoei RF-1100 and this helmet is by far not only the best helmet in terms of fit, but is really awesome with airflow, vision, noise. Not to mention the extra shield and it looks awesome.

Get this helmet, you will not be disappointed as long as the speakers isnt a deal breaker!
How much do they weigh?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Scorpion has informed us that the EXO-R2000 weighs approximately 3.3lbs - 3.5lbs. To our understanding, the exact weight is still in the works.
According to the size chart, my helmet size lands right in between medium and large. I'm afraid if I go large that once the helmet breaks in, it may be a loose fit. Whereas if I go medium the fit may be uncomfortably tight until it breaks in. Any advice ?
Jonathan P on May 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Go Large. I am a true large head and have a fair amount of time in the helmet. I use it primarily for racing but also commute occasionally in it. It is a touch tight and the chin bar is much closer than either my Arai's or Shoei's. I have grown use to it none the less. This is a fine helmet. I would by another. Hope this helps. Brandal
How this helmet suit glasses wearer ?
A shopper on Jun 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My helmet fits snugly, as it should. I cannot put the helmet on while wearing glasses, but after the helmet is on It is easy to put my glasses on. I don't typically ride with glasses, or sunglasses ... I use the tinted shield that came with the helmet. There's room between the shield and the glasses ... the glasses don't hit the inside of the shield. I would say that the helmet works fine with glasses. Ride safe!
Hello,

I noticed the video stated the helmet was optimized for the 3/4 and tucked position while saying it worked in all riding positions. Do you have any experience with its upright performance or know if scorpion is planning on coming out with an upright version of this helmet?
A shopper on Aug 25, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Because the helmet hasn't been released, we do not have any on road experience with the Scorpion EXO-R2000 Helmet yet. Consider this helmets main competition, the RF-1100, which works more or less in all riding positions, tuck is not the greatest. That being said, this helmet will work ok in the upright riding position but works best in a tuck or 3/4. We do not have any information about other Scorpion Helmets being released specifically designed for the standard riding position at this time.
I am looking to replace a Scorpion EXO-700. The latter is a size XL even though I typically wear a size L. The latter fits my head shape very good but I do typically wear a L. I am interested in either a Shoei RF-1200 or a Scorpion R-2000. What size would you recommend for each of the two helmets mentioned keeping in mind the my measured size is a 7 3/8. Does the Shoei offer any meaningful upgrade over the Scorpion? I am just looking for a decent street helmet and ride a HD in a full upright position.

Thanks.
A shopper on Mar 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The scorpian helmet you are looking at saved my life within a week of purchasing it during an accident . I don't know much as far as fitment but I owe it my life.
Is there a reason why I should/could not use this helmet for touring? I know they stated in the video it works great in the chin to tank position but any reason it would not be a good touring helmet? It is a contender cause its the only one that will fit my odd shaped head.
Thanks
A shopper on Jul 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: In my experience with the helmet I would be inclined to say that, although it may be "optimized" for the tucked position I still get excellent ventilation and very little change, if any, in wind noise sitting upright. I would not have a problem recommending it for touring. I would, however go with a version with graphics simply because some of them are having their prices slashed, insanely on some sights. I wear the 2XL and can say that the R410 in a 2XL fits me the same as the R2000. The R710 is ever so slightly more round, but not to the point of being unduly uncomfortable on me. You may also consider icon helmets as they have a similar fit as well. An HJC AC-12 also fit me well, but that helmet is long gone and I don't know if there is a newer model with the same fit.

Good Luck!
Is a dark smoke shield included with the purchase of the helmet or is it seperate?
A shopper on Dec 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Clear and dark are both included.
I went with an EXO-750 because it was touted (mostly correctly) to be a oval or medium oval shape. What is the '2000 being described as?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2012
BEST ANSWER: We consider the Scorpion EXO-R2000 Helmet to have an intermediate oval head shape.
