Scorpion EXO-1100 Preciosa Helmet (Size 2XL Only)
Helmet works great so far, don't have a ton of mileage in it yet. Does fit a little snug around the top, we'll see if it breaks in after getting more mileage.

The helmet is perfect for me. Has the features and feel of something costing much more.

this helmet is awesome looking and loaded with venting
I'm 55 and just getting back into road riding from a 20 year hiatus and choose this helmet for its lightness, sexy lines, recessed sun visor and venting. It doesn't disappoint in any department. Some may say it is a little loud and I tried different combinations of opening and closing vents with no effect. I don't think its bad. Helmet is very balanced in the wind even when turning your head. Really like the easy to use vents. Ride yzf600r and FJR 1300

some good, some bad
This helmet offers a lot of features for the money, but in the end I will need to purchase another helmet because it is designed poorly where it counts the most. First the good: very lightweight for how big it is and all the extra features. My neck does not hurt after wearing it awhile. Beautiful graphics and looks great. Materials used in the padding feel luxurious and the helmet is very comfortable. Now the bad: the field of vision is terrible :/ from top to bottom is very narrow and unless your head is straight and you are looking straight ahead, you can't see! When riding in a race position the helmet cuts off your line of sight through the corner and also when riding on the highway tucked in, you can't see in front of you. My other complaint is that it is very noisy. Lots of wind buffeting which I did not expect since it fits so tight. Also because of the tight fit my head and face get really sweaty. I have to go back to using my old helmet on the track so I can see through the corners.

I love the flip down sun visor
Overall, I like this helmet. It is quiter than my previous Scorpion helmet, but the fit wasn't quite as good. This could be because it needs to be broken in a little, but when I switch to my other helmet I feel like it's lined with pillows compared to this one.
Other reviews said that it is a little on the oval side, but I found it to lean to the round side.
The quietness and the sun visor offset the negatives and I feel like brightness of the helmet makes my riding safer since other drivers tend to see me easier.

Scorpion EXO-1100 Helmet - Good buy
Hey 'Zilla, Thanks!!
I have had this item for almost a year now.
I am not sure what to say about this product. The only true test of a helmet is protecting your 'noggin from the random bits of flying road debris and immovable objects that suddenly appear in your path of travel. Honestly, I do NOT want to test that aspect of my headgear. ;)
In every other regard, I find the helmet to be more than adequate! Airflow is great, sits snug and securely (thank you Anthony/Zilla for the sizing guides!!!), doesn't feel too heavy on the head. Sun shield has been handy a few times too.
Now it does, IMO, have one or two weak areas and these are probably completely subjective, in no particular order:
1) High speed, say around 75-80 mph or higher, you will feel the wind force pushing on your head and neck. Sometimes my head feels like a bobber...lol.
This is my first full face rig, so that may be completely normal, IDK. But I bring it up in relation to the fact that I have neck issues and only once has the bobbing been too much for me to tolerate, high crosswinds too (I just slowed down a bit and continued on my merry way).
2) I feel peripheral vision could be a bit better. I have to turn my head a bit further than I really feel comfortable doing, in order to see behind me but that again, could be due to my neck issues. Haven't had any problems because of it, just an aspect I am aware of and deal with.
3) Visor has occasionally gotten stuck in the down position, like it's locked closed, not much of a safety concern but can be annoying.
ie: night ride in FL, stop at light, visor starts to fog a little, slip into N, reach up to open visor...wont budge
try again...still wont move...one more attempt...nada..ugh!
Mild panic attack hits as for a brief second the thought that I am trapped in this head casket forever flashes through my mind...omg
Breathing rate doubles as I try the visor again and again, dramatically increasing level of mist now gathering on the inside of visor...OMG
Somewhere down a hazy tunnel in my vision, a warm red glow suddenly turns blaring green...omfg
I realize I am effectively blind at an intersection and the light is now green with traffic all around me...OMFG
I smack myself on the side of my helmet encased head a few times, near the locking mechanism, conjuring up an image of Luke or Han doing the same thing indicating they were having communication issues, then imaging what the drivers behind me are thinking watching me smack myself around and start to laugh, out loud, fogging whatever minute space of visor that may have escaped my panic driven pant earlier...lmao
Trying the visor again, it pops open and I can breath again (YEAH!!)
but I realize my glasses have also completely fogged over (argh).
Pulling my glasses forward, so they are on the end of my nose, my vision goes from misted over to completely out of focus...fml.
I go into 1st, throttle up, clear the intersection and pull over.
Without getting a single "honk" :)
Good times, good times!! I still chuckle remembering it :D
Since then, I have learned that when it gets stuck, to grab bottom of the chin piece and use a little extra pressure on the visor and it opens right up, with a crack sound. In a year, it's gotten stuck maybe 4 or 5 times...the above narrative was the only incident of note :)
Aside from the above, it's been a great helmet and I have worn it on every highway ride since purchase (just under 5k miles). But again, I have not tested it's only true feature...safely protecting my head.
Here's to always keeping both wheels upright and rollin'

Like most other people who have reviewed this helmet, I would have to say that my only complaint is that it is a tad on the small side. My head is just between the large and extra-large sizes on the chart, so I got the extra-large helmet just to be safe and the break-in period was a little bit uncomfortable. But, now that the pads have broken in, I really have no complaints; the air flowing through the vents is great, the sun visor isn't too bad, it is surprisingly quiet, and it does well without having a windscreen on the bike.

I was thinking about buying another Shoei RF series helmet when a buddy suggested I look into the EXO 1000. Found this updated model instead. Here are the most useful features, in order of my opinion:
1. Doesn't fog. It really doesn't
2. Built in sunvisor. Looks dorky, works great.
3. Lots and lots of ventilation that's openable/closeable
4. Controls are big enough to operate with gloves on (this includes the lips at the bottom of the faceshield to raise/lower the shield easily/quickly)
It also has the ability to easily change faceshields, but I haven't found the need to since the sun visor is so easy to operate.
Helmet fits great and has inflateable cheekpads, but since it fits my head perfectly, I haven't used them.
Great helmet. A+ Scorpion. Don't screw this fantastic helmet up when you update it.
