Scorpion EXO-1100 Kranium Helmet 4.6 5 338 338
great helmet Bought this helmet because of the internal visor and the cool graphics(blue street demon). Very comfortable and noise is low,for the price is a great buy and it has a nice style..Airflow is good and effective..Had this helmet for 3 years or more now and still like new..I love this helmet..Only thing with this helmet was the internal visor that when is dropped it can wiggle a little,,so i put bump tape(aviation tape) on the right side of the visor's leg and no more wiggle..now steady like its suppose to be...And i plan to keep this helmet for a year or two more before getting another one.. Near Perfection Toured this helmet new without break-in time so consider that in this review. Looking down at my skull, it's triangular, so the rear "corners" have less than perfect fit in any helmet and this one was no exception, though my old EXO400 came the closest. The Jag performed excellently across a wide range of weather conditions in and out of the Swiss/Austrian Alps from valley to crest, hot to cold, rain and shine. Needed more practice shifting incremental visor positions, but the crack option was truly a breath of fresh air on an RT that blocks all wind. Tight fitment on size medium more so than any other helmet I've owned, so I dare not use the pump feature other than to test it. Chin curtain did it's job, but was shallower than others, but all other venting was superior. Awesome peripheral vision as 180+ degree switchbacks with oncoming traffic required extreme head turns, and that alone was worth the money. I wanted the Internal sun visor to fall another 1/2 inch but I noticed that it made reading the bike gages easier, so kudos there. Low noise, clear antifog wideangle mask, light weight and awesome tech inspired graphics all made this a winner. You just forget you have it on. November 1, 2015
Amazing helmet for a great price! Ok so I have owned this helmet for about half a month now and ride just about every day so figured it was about time for a review. First off I got this helmet in the red white and blue version not my first pick bar t every other one didn't have my size. Anyways when I got the helmet I noticed that it looks so much better in person there is actually graphics within the colored lines that kinda reminds me of like a computer motherboard or something but it looks awesome. It's got a great profile and I get compliments all the time. On to fit. When I looked at the size chart it said I should be a medium but I went with my gut and got a large which is what I have worn previously with other helmets. Good thing I did because it fits perfectly not too tight or loose. I love the airfit system because it really snugs up the helmet and gets that perfect fit. It also allows the pads to cup your ears better making this an extremely quite helmet even with every vent open. I do have to say however I have a very long oval shaped head and the chin guard doesn't come down under my chin where it should but still does the job. This is an extremely comfortable helmet as to fit. With airflow this flows a lot of air however you don't exactly feel the airflow. But your head always stays cool so I know it's working and this is Florida heat tested. These vents are also extremely quite no whistle or anything and very easy to operate with a gloved hand. Last the helmet has a pretty good view window I don't typically have a blind spot when using my mirrors. The drop down visor works great but does leave about an inch or so on the bottom that takes state me getting used to. As does the lever for it. Takes a little bit to operate it but may just be because I'm not used to it. The external visor works great with the lock I can never get it to do the crack thing though but no big deal. It's spring assisted and has an amazing seal. Also the tabs on both side are really nice because you don't always have the same hand available and everything. Overall best helmet I've owned nothing bad to say about it great quality especially being on sale. October 8, 2015
This helmet is fantastic! Its a great helmet for the price and style. Going fast with the face shield down and all the vents open for max airflow, this helmet is very quite. The cheek pumps help create a great seal to block wind, however if sealed up good and with the right weather conditions the visor tends to fog but that is an easy fix with opening the visor a bit. Great Helmet for the Price As many other reviewers have noted, this helmet runs a little small. I purchased the next size up and the helmet has a little wiggle in it. However, the air pump system for the cheek pads takes almost all of the slack in the helmet. The helmet has decent air flow with all of the vents open, but, when the visor is locked barely open, the air flow is great. I have had very little problems with fogging as long as I am moving. Overall, great helmet for the price. September 21, 2015
Great hi-viz style, inner visor not so great I was looking for a hi-viz helmet that also had a drop down visor. The hi-viz part is exactly what I was looking for and the style was great. The fit is great. Love the ability to inflate the cheek pads. The drop down visor seems to distort the vision somewhat and I ended up getting a tinted visor instead of using that. But, for the price and being on clearance it's not a big deal, still love the helmet. People can definitely see me a lot better and I've gotten comments to that effect. September 18, 2015
A great upgrade from the EXO-500. I bought the EXO 1100 because it has a ton of features, especially for the price. I thought the Air Pump was gonna be a gimmick, but I've found that it's a really useful feature that's also easy to use. I like that the positioning of the ear cutouts were easy to align to your ears, making this helmet really comfortable. It fits great if you choose the correct size. I found that it ran about one size too small. The air ventilation is GREAT! I wear glasses and I can't even feel them when I have this helmet on. The drop down visor also comes in handy, being that I'm not a shades guy. And as for the graphic, it obviously depends on your preference, but I really loved the Jag graphic in neon. I really don't have any complaints or concerns about the helmet. September 16, 2015
Very Enjoyable I bought this product about one year and six months ago. The air flow and the light weight is what I'm most thankful of this helmet. They only bummer sauce about this product is how easy the face shield scratches. It does good both on and off road for me. September 13, 2015
