This jacket is amazing but Scorpion abandoned tall sizes!!! This jacket *was* one of only 4 leather jackets that come in tall sizes, but now Scorpion has stopped making tall sizes... GRRRRR :( It has amazing protection and is a very high quality protection. I had a low side accelerating around a corner and I didn't feel a thing... It was surreal because it was so fast. It slid nicely and wore a little 1cm hole near the elbow. It also ground up the elbow plate and scuffed the leather on the back. But it did it's job. The damage isn't super noticeable so I'm still wearing it. It was the only leather jacket that comes in tall sizes that has any sense of style or hard protection to it, and for some reason all manufacturers are abandoning us tall guys simultaneously, leaving an underserved demand. SCORPION PLEASE BRING BACK TALL SIZES ON LEATHER JACKETS, THE FIT OF THIS JACKET WAS AMAZING! You would be the only company selling them at this point. I'll buy 3 if I have to but help us out here! Same with long finger gloves!!!! February 1, 2014
Excellent features for the price I ordered this in black and if possible I would order it in white. The hard sliders seem great and the liner keeps you very warm. For long rides under 60 I wear the jacket and it keeps me very warm. I am 6' 4" 180 lbs with about a 37.5-38" chest and I wear the medium. Arm length is good but torso length is a little short. I did have to buy a second jacket for warmer weather. Would have bought the perforated white if I could find it anywhere but had to go for a more expensive alpinestar to get the same features. Bad Azz Jacket! Thats all you need to know. First i have to say this is my first time buying from revzilla And i have to say they are awesome. I will be buying all my motorcycle gear from here for now on. They cant be beat. Now onto the jacket. I am 5'9" 150lbs and i got the medium and it fit perfectly. It fit pretty snug but didnt feel too tight. The quality of this jacket is awesome. The stitching and leather quality is great. The jacket feels very sturdy and has a good amount of weight to it. It is very comfortable all around and i am able to freely move around even when fully zipped. The jacket has an awesome full sleeve inner lining that feels super comfortable and cant wait for the fall and winter to use it. I bought the black phantom jacket and its the one with the 2 vents in the front and 2 exhaust vents. I would have loved for it to be full perforated in the front but i wanted a darker jacket that wasnt so flashy so i didnt go with the perforated white. Because it only has 2 vents in the front it still gets hot during hot Texas summers, but id rather be safe than comfortable. Its not too unbearable so its all good. I like the fact that this jacket comes with sas tec armour on the shoulders and elbows. I feel very safe and secure and the aluminum sliders are an added bonus. This jacket is awesome. If your looking for a quality good functioning/looking jacket under $400 then this is the one to get. Your going to love this jacket. Thank you revzilla July 29, 2013
great jacket. This products functionality is exactly what I was looking for in price and style. January 30, 2013
Good jacket for the price, good all around jacket This is a great jacket if you're only going to have one jacket. It's tough and well armoured (other than the need to add a back protector and chest protector if you want one). The leather is really thick and heavy duty, and the construction seems pretty decent too. knee and shoulder armour feels quite good, and stays in place well even though my arms aren't huge. Lots of perforation, so not crazy hot in the summer, and comes with a good full sleeve thermal liner for colder days. This jacket took me from about 35C#95F# to 8C#46F) comfortably. Below 8C it would have been ok if there was room to wear a fleece or something under it. I couldn't wear one under it because I sized it to fit without the liner in the summer, and it got a bit tight with the liner and anything more than a sweatshirt underneath. Back protector slot is hard to get other brands of protectors in, since the zipper is about 5 inches down from the top of the protector, and the pocket is shaped to fit the protector exactly. I'd suggest if you're adding a back protector to either get one that is made to fit in this jacket, or get one that you can cut down to fit using the foam insert it comes with as a template. I find the zippers a bit annoying. Cons: White leather gets dirty quickly Leather seems to dry out very fast near perforations and starts to flake a bit. No pants connection zipper, so you can't really use it as a track jacket. But it does have a small leather loop that you can hook up to a belt or belt loop to keep it from riding up on your back when you're on the bike. Back protector slot is hard to get other brands of protectors in Finish on metal sliders wears off quickly. Not light. January 22, 2013
Great Jacket! Bought this jacket based on the stellar reviews. I have a perforated leather Astars jacket for the warmer weather here in SoCal but i wanted a stylish, non-perf leather with great protection and a good liner for the cooler winter nights (mid 50s) as the Astars let the wind cut right through me. Based on a lot of reviews I read, I expected this jacket to be the one that fit the bill. Well, its certainly very stylish and fits pretty well, has great protection (I added my own CE-2 back protector), and has a good liner, but I expected the jacket to be a lot warmer. Its possibly due to the riding position (GSXR600 '05) but the wind goes in through the neck area and really makes this jacket less warm than it should be. My arms are kept nice and warm, but my chest area gets a little chilly (not unbearably cold, but chilly). I had to order a neck windstopper to remedy the problem. In a full tuck, no wind gets through and I'm nice and warm. The jacket is extremely comfortable once broken in and at 5'8" 155lbs athletic build, the medium fit perfectly. I feel very confident that the jacket will protect me in a fall. I do wish the zippers on the arms were on the inside rather than the outside in the case of a fall (you'd land right on your forearm and potentially break the zipper) but I wear a full gauntlet which should protect the zipper. Overall, its a very nice looking jacket with great protection, fits nicely, and has a warm liner. If you have a sportbike and you're looking for a jacket to ride into the 40s with, this might not be the one youre looking for unless you layer up with thermals/get a windstopper, but its a nice jacket none-the-less. For the price, I dont think any other jacket has the same amount of features or quality. December 17, 2012
Awsome looking and functional Jacket This is my first jacket and I cannot be happier. This jacket has it all! It has the functionallity of safety jacket with well all around protection, flexibility on the inside arm so you don't feel like you are in a cast, and a lot cheaper than other competitive jackets. My chest is 44' and recommended size is L according to the chart, but I personaly recommend you go a size higher for extra comfort like I did (XL). This jacket will keep you warm and can get hot in 80+ degrees. November 5, 2012
i <3 this jacket! I'd been wanting to get a white jacket for a while to match my white street triple R, and I am not disappointed with this jacket one bit. I love it. :) It looks bad @$$, it's super comfortable in the riding position, and it temperature regulates very well. I commute in the bay area, so it's cool (50-55) in the morning and warm in the evenings (75+), at least in the summer time. I either use the thermal liner or a long sleeve shirt in the morning underneath, and then just a t-shirt under in warmer weather. With the rear vents open there is great airflow through the jacket. I have the Shoei RF-1100 Hadron (white), which matches the jacket perfectly. They both have black, gray, and white designs. I went with a medium. I'm about 5'11", 190 lbs with a pretty fit/muscular build, ~42" chest. The jacket fits perfect for me, I like pretty form fitting clothes. Sleeve length is perfect. Jacket length is perfect. One thing I have noticed with the white leather, which I was kinda expecting, is that it shows dirt pretty easily. Get yourself a leather cleaning/protectant product if you like to keep your jacket looking like new. July 16, 2012

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Ian K: I have a mesh jacket and I've been looking for a jacket for colder temps. I bought a scorpion helmet and I was impressed with the quality. I like the styling of the jacket and the features look good for the price. Can't wait to get it! Feb 23, 2014
A shopper asked: Question is about sizing. I'm 6'2" and 205 lbs, what size will fit best?
Chest size is 45"
Waist is 35"
Inseam 33"

Typically I wear XL size jackets (for traditional outerwear) and will often opt for tall sizes where available for a little extra length in the sleeves.

Living in Northern Ontario, a lot of the riding season is in pretty chilly temps (45F or 7C) so I would be using the liner quite a bit. Even wearing some layers underneath. I'm leaning toward XLT or maybe even XXLT.

Not sure if it helps but for reference I have a Joe Rocket Alter Ego 2 in L and it fits tight in the chest and waist with sleeves that are about 2" shorter than I want.

Thanks,

Wes

Lars N: I'm 6'7" and 205lbs. I am not super built. I wear XL tshirts, and XL Tall fit perfectly... Nice and long sleeves. However, a Scorpion stopped making the tall sizes for this jacket so you'll need to look elsewhere. It looks like the only other leather jacket that comes in tall sizes is some Joe a Rocket garbage. A shopper asked: I was wondering if the SAS-TEC Back Protector will fit in this jacket or if you would have to trim it down to Knox TP2 size first (I understand this will void the warranty.) Apr 8, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Almost any jacket can be fitted with the SaS-Tec-1/12 by trimming it slightly. Simply remove the temper foam back pad which came with your jacket and use it as a template to trace and then *trim as needed. Please be aware that this will void the warrant of the back protector. Also, if exposed to a prolonged rain storm it is possible that the now exposed internal foam could absorb water, in which case you will want to air dry the back protector before using it again.

*Per the manufacturer, trimming the back protector will not alter its protective properties.
