The Schuberth S2 arrives after years of extensive engineering. The ultra-quiet S2 spent hundreds of hours in Schuberth's aero-acoustic wind tunnel to ensure optimum aerodynamics with reduced drag and lift for the quietest possible performance. Great comfortable helmet I bought the Schuberth S2 for a few reasons. Schuberth has a reputation for being in the top echelon of safety and safety is first and foremost. They also have a reputation for being some of the quietest. This, I'm not too sure of. The S2 is the first helmet I've had in a long time. I just got back into riding and bought a loud Sporty. I don't have any recent direct comparisons but I was surprised it wasn't quieter. I wear earplugs and it's fine but I was hoping I wouldn't have to. I have friends with sport bikes who don't need earplugs and my wife rides on the back with a Shoei Qwest and doesn't need them. Either it's just me or it's partially the helmet. Maybe I have a long face but I can feel more air coming up the helmet on my chin than I can feel flowing through the vents. That being said, if not for that air flow, it'd be d@^^n hot. The vents don't seem to do much. Or maybe they do just enough. I couldn't imagine closing the top one and the bottom one is only to vent the lens, which is pinlock and the air coming from the bottom is enough to assist clearing any fogging. It also has been unseasonably hot in Oregon this year. I just don't have much to compare to but it could probably use a removable chin curtain. The face shield is clear, the pinlock is great, and the sun shield is fantastic with the control being in a very nice location. I would like a visor though. The helmet is very comfortable on me and as soon as you adjust the strap buckle all the way to the left side, the strap is alright too. I will eventually get the SRC bluetooth set-up, which is another reason I bought this helmet. I am excited about trying it with the built-in antenna. All in all, I am happy with my purchase. I would say if your main concern is quiet, this isn't a guarantee. If you find it comfortable, like the looks, trust Schuberth and like the features and SRC option, it is a great helmet and worth the money. If you ever smack your head on the tarmac, I doubt you will be concerned that your helmet cost a little more. August 24, 2015
Great helmet, even better on sale I've only just received the helmet and haven't ridden in it yet although I did wear it around the house for a half hour. That said, the fit is great, the size chart was right on, and it wasn't nearly as hard to get on and take off as some reviews had made me fear. I can't wait to really try it out. August 12, 2015
Great build quality and comfort, but noisier than expected. I have only had this helmet for a few months and the fit is outstanding. My only complaint is what can best be described as a "thrum"ing sound when riding. Now granted, I am riding a naked bike without any sort of windshield, but for a helmet and company that owns a wind tunnel, I expected it to be more quiet. My wife's Bell Vortex seems to be nearly as comfortable, more quiet, and 1/3rd of the price. I have just added the integrated SRCS comm system, so we'll see if that has any effect. Other than the noise, it is aerodynamically smooth and never lifts due to the incorporated front splitter. You don't buy this helmet for the graphics. You buy it for its safety features, comfort and visibility. August 4, 2015
Solid helmet with features that don't feel gimmicky My fourth helmet. This is the best helmet I've owned. A simple design but packed with features that have obviously been tested. Nothing feels gimmicky and everything serves its purpose with great build quality. I thought the spoiler around the base looked great but then I hit the highway at 90 mph and realized how much it really helped. The vents work great for how simple they are. The cable system in the drop down shade is very solid. It's the quietest helmet I've owned but, please people, stop acting like you don't need ear plugs on the highway. 85db is still damaging to your ears. There is a whistle on my left side when I turn my head right which is the only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 but that's an easy fix for me. The S2 doesn't have a breath deflector/ sneeze guard but oddly the Shark Speed-R deflector fits neatly. So definitely grab one cuz the drop down shade doesn't come down all that far. July 27, 2015
Top quality Helmet Great helmet for my bmw r1200r with small shield. Compared with my Nexx x1r1 carbon, this helmet is a little quieter. While too tight to start with, I think this helmet is true to size and after 3 or 4 hrs of riding so far is breaking in nicely. I was skeptical of the drop down sun visor at first, but both shields have such good optics that looking through two pieces of plastic is not an issue. This helmet has outstanding quality and engineering through out! June 8, 2015
Too Loud This helmet looks and feels great. However at this price point it's a very premium offering and I think it falls down with respect to the noise levels. This is much louder than either of my Shoei helmets, and if I'm paying this much I'd expect it to perform as well as the other big players in this category. July 20, 2015
Snug fit Snug for a 3xl, but once you get it on , very quite, good airflow. Weight is a little heavy for all day riding, but not unbearable. July 16, 2015
The schuberth S2 Sport wave is the helmet I've been waiting for. The quietest helmet I've ever worn. Works well with the SRC system. Very tight fitting and difficult to get on at first. After one week of break in time it fits perfectly. A bit on the expensive side, but, you get what you pay for. My last helmet was a Shoei GT Air, this is a far superior helmet in almost every way. I liked the Shuberth so much I ordered a C3 with SRC for my wife as well. Thanks Revzilla. July 13, 2015

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
W I: I am hoping it fits my head better than the C3 Aug 30, 2015
Mark S: This is the best helmet I have purchased. It is light and love the chin strap release. I will hopefully be purchasing the communication system for it soon. Aug 19, 2015
Anthony I: Low sound. Features. Also like Arai RX-Q. Schuberth has cool graphic and is now on sale. Aug 4, 2015
Michael H: I have been looking at this helmet for a while. The sale price make me buy it immediately. Jul 20, 2015
andrew b: for the known high quality of the Schuberth line of helmets May 20, 2015
T A: Looking forward to improved wind reduction both for noise and reducing drag resistance in a versatile street/track helmet. Jan 25, 2015
Christopher B: Upgrading from a Shoei Quest. I was on the fence between Shoei GT Air and Schuberth S2. What sold me on the Schuberth was the inner lining comfort was superior, and Schuberth has a "Mobility Program" (check the website for more details), which offers a 2/3 cost replacement helmet, if damaged in a crash. Both flow excellent amounts of air, and my head shape was more suited to the Schuberth (pinched ear-tops in the Shoei GT AIR/Quest.) Thanks, Anthony for the vid reviews on both! W00ty w00t5! Nicholas L: I purchased this helmet as a replacement for an Arai RX-Q helmet. I was more impressed with the fit after trying both the Arai and a 2013 Schuberth side by side. I was also impressed with the new Shuberth graphic after seeing an article and video from webbikeworld at the AIMExpo show.

love the look of the white/blue/red BMW Motorsport look!

othoniel f asked: Hey,is this helmet prescription glasses friendly, and does it only except it's own communication system? Aug 17, 2015

Bradford K: I bought this helmet end of May, and very much like it. Well, as well as one can like a helmet!

I cannot answer the second part of the question about communications systems compatibility, and can only indirectly give you an idea on the first part of your question: Mine is a snug fit and thus I have not worn it with sunglasses, much less prescription glasses, so I cannot directly answer your question. It does have the internal tinted lens you can drop down which serves a similar purpose to sunglasses, such that I have not needed to try wearing actual glasses while wearing the S2 Ghost. I would think if this is a big concern you'd want to either size up a bit, or try on some other Schuberth at a local store with your glasses to know before ordering one online. Wish I could be more help.

Mark S: I can answer the first part. I wear sunglasses and when riding directly into the sun in the morning I've dropped the built in sun shield without hitting my sunglasses. I would think prescription glasses would not be a problem. I don't know about the communication system but seems another brand should still work. I've owned Shoei helmets mostly but this is the nicest helmet I've owned. The face shield goes off and on much easier than my Shoei's and I like the chin strap system better. Aug 17, 2015

Anthony I: I can't comment on the communication system, but I can wear my prescription glasses with the helmet without problems - even with the built in sun shades. Aug 17, 2015

andrew b: Although it does not have cutouts for eyeglasses I found it easy to use with mine as for the comm.system that I don't know I don't use one andy b Aug 17, 2015
