Good for the intended use.
I have been using these as my commuter over pants for about a month now. We have dipped in to the high 30's on several mornings. My commute is about 40 minutes and they have done a good job over my jeans keeping the wind off of my legs. I am a guy that rides all the time with my gear, but I am notorious for not using my riding pants. I have used these a lot for a a few key reasons; They are comfortable as far as over pants go, they offer good wind protection, they are super quick on / off over boots. The deal-sealer for me is that they roll up and store easily in my backpack. I rode in the rain one morning and my legs were dry by the time I got to work, but I wouldn't go too far in the rain and expect to stay dry. They don't come with armor, so if you are looking for lots of crash protection, look elsewhere, but these are another solid product from Rev It as long as you keep in mind what they are made for,

Watch Them On Your Chrome Pipes
I have worn these pants riding near 20 times and feel they offer a fair amount of protection against the cool wind. I ride to work and in the morning the temps are as low as 30 deg. The ride in is 20 miles and i stay warm with a pair of jeans under them. BUT I bought a new bike over the winter and my first ride in with the pants on I was shocked to see that my chrome pipes now have a nice burn mark of polyester. With that said yeah polyester and heat don't mix well but I guessed from the description of the pants that Polyester 600D meant the shell was treated to resist some heat......guess not
Side note to revzilla If you have any tricks to get that burnt polyester off my Chrome Pipes without damaging the finish let me know

An overpants designed for giants!
I recently bought these based on the video and the fit on the guy posing in the pants and all I can say is that its way off.

These are the baggiest pants I have worn and they look ridiculous on. Yes, I know they are overpants and meant to be stripped off quickly and not strutted in the streets of Milan, Paris and New York. Yes, they are not a fashion item but honestly, I would be embarrassed walking into Wawa for a cup of coffee with these.

I am 6ft, 200lbs, 32 inseam, 34-36 waist, relatively thick muscular thighs and legs So I should buy the Large right? Based on the video and the model who is significantly smaller than me, the Large should look good on me since that what he is wearing and he like 5,11 and 175lbs or something like that. I don’t know what pre-production demo item they were using but for a guy my size, the Large is far too baggy. Even my skating pants from the 90s weren’t this baggy. Oh, and don’t bother with the armour. It will most probably only protect your calf or something stupid in an accident since there is so much space for the armour to move around. Look at the pic…it looks even worse in real life because you cant clearly see the baggy folds and details in the pic.

Anyways, for a $99 pair of overpants, I shouldn’t complain too much, the only reason I'm moaning is because the video is definitely off. As said, for 99 bucks, they zip on easy, feel like quality and should protect me from the elements…that being said, I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing them so I am returning and either trying a medium which definitely won’t fit or I might have to get something that wasn’t designed for clowns…bad Rev’it! Naughty! I like your gear but you were way off the mark with this.

easy and comfortible
i got these pants to help keep my legs warm during the winter time. i find them very easy to put on and off they ride above my waste so my jacket overlaps the pants so that it helps keep the elements out. i like the fact you can add knox armor into the knees but they are very tuff regardless and keep me warm in the cold weather, and in my upright riding position they stay down to my ankles after i pull them down when i get on my bike.

Very nice cool/cold weather waterproof overpant.
I am a new rider with no other experience of riding pants. I am very pleased with these pants. With nothing but work pants on underneath I have ridden in temps down to 45 degrees F and stayed ok @ 70 mph for 30 minutes. I don't think I will push it past 40 though.

Pros: Very easy to get on and off with work boots on
Airflow is low enough to keep you warm

Con: Knee pads don't sit proper to me. They sit more on the inside of the knee.

Good shell pants for the money
I"m 6', 175 lbs. and the size medium has plenty of room to fit over a pair of jeans. I think the next size up would be too big. They are easy on/off which is good if you are commuting. I haven't tried them in rain or temps below 50 deg. F yet, so I can't attest to overall performance. There are two snaps at the waist to adjust the fit. I'd love even more adjustment at the waist so they could be made tighter.

They work....
I got these as protection and also to help stay warm. They are pretty easy to put on over my shoes and pants.

They are pretty bulky, and really only wearable when its cold. I feel like the knee pads don't fit correctly when I ride with these, but that may be because they are a bit too big?

I wear L33W33 jeans and the Medium size seems a bit too big, but not big enough to need the small?

Good Product, Reasonable price.
These fit as described.
While the quality is not exceptional, it is good. Has pockets for knee pads if one desires. I have yet to test in a heavy rain, but I'm sure they will keep the majority of the weather off of me.

I wanted the Revit Tornadoes but the price is just too steep. These will be interim pants and when proper summer comes around I might invest in the Revit Airwaves.

How insulated are these? I'm looking for an overpant to ride in bout 45ish for 40 minutes or so...
Trevor J on Mar 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not knowing more (e.g. type of motorcycle you ride, i.e. full-fairing or not, etc.) all I can say is I've riden down to low 20s (Fahrenheit) and was comfortable for the 30 minute commute to work.
What is the part number of the armor that would go with this item? Does or does not, this product have a quilted liner as stated in the produce description?
Russel D on Jan 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There is no quilted liner. Beware they are cut very baggy in the legs. I can't imagine how armor would stay pit where you want it.
"Protection: Prepared for Knox Flexiform CE protectors at the knees (sold separately)" Hello, does this mean that I will have to buy the protection and that there is no C.E armor inside the pants? Thank you!
Hannah K on Jan 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Correct. There is no CE armor included in these pants. They are essentially an outer skin that I use as a wind blocker and potentially some extra abrasion resistance over jeans etc.
Product description says there is a thermal liner, no mention of it in the video review. Does this pant indeed come with a removable thermal liner?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Mine did not come with a thermal liner.
Is the only difference between the Hercules and axis pants the fact that Hercules doesn't include the armor? They look the same otherwise...
