Very good ENDURO pants. Fits large. I'm 6' 3", 195 pounds, and my jeans size is 38x34. After reading some reviews, I ordered the Traverse pants in size 36 Tall. First time i tried them on feel like would fall down to the floor, but actually they turn to be perfect when used with an Alpinestars Bionic Freeride Shorts. The protection of these shorts helped to fill the Traverse Pants, and the same regarding the knee area that have enough room to use knee braces.
If you plan to use the Traverse pants with just hip foam pads and 3DO knee pads buy 2 sizes smaller, but if you plan to use more protection under the pants 1 size smaller would be fine.
The only cons is air flow which is not very good (not the best pants to use in summer weather).

I'm kind of a newbie, but I went with the Klim Traverse and got the D30 armor to go with it. I'm a thick guy so it was important to have enough fullness in the thigh, and I can hardly tell that the D30 armor is in there. It was also important for me to have the waterproofing on the shell and not just the liner. Here in Georgia we have some schizophrenic weather so I don't want to have to have to choose between being dry but getting heat stroke, and being soaked through.
I've only put about 500 miles in them, but I can say they are absolutely waterproof. In fact, the only pocket tends to pool with my sweat when I'm riding in warmer weather. I know they say Gortex is breathable, but apparently I'm putting that to the test. They are roomy enough that I can layer up with an Under Armour base layer, or even a thick mid layer when it gets into the 30's. I haven't ridden in any blazing heat yet, but I can say I haven't been the least bit cold in them when I layer up accordingly.
The only real negatives so far are the pooling of my sweat in the pocket, and the fact that there is only one pocket. I realize you get more pockets when you pay more, but it just seems like there should be more than one pocket for the price..
Also, as I mentioned, I'm kind of a noob, so I really can't say how they compare to other pants.

I am bit of a KLIM fan-boy, I have quite a bit of their off-road gear. The sizing on the Traverse is a little off. I wear a 40 in all of my KLIM off-road pants I own and the fit is right. The Traverse is a little big. I actually ended up ordering a 38 and 40 to compare. I settled on the 40 since these are primarily my cold weather pants and I will be layered up. I preferred the fit of the 38 thru the legs, but the waist was just slightly too tight. A 40 waist on the 38 legs would of been perfect. I bought the black pants, and they are black. Some KLIM "black" is actually a little green/gray colored, but not these. I wish they had a few more pockets. I am replacing a pair of Moose Expedition pants, which had two cargo pockets and two hand pockets. If the Traverse had those pockets it would be just about perfect for foul weather. I bought these for back road touring on the KTM 950SE.

Very well built pants. Cant see why you would need any more than this for an all weather outer layer. I'm 5'8" 170 lbs and wear a 32x30 jean but I got this pant in 34. It fits well over the Inferno mid layer with good movement and is not to bulky when worn by themselves.

Excellent pants that kept me dry in day in, day out cold rain of western Canada on my way to Alaska. No matter how much rain I rode through, how fast I was going, or how many days in a row it rained, the Traverse pants kept me dry.
They do seem to fit about one size too large. I'm 6' even, 230. Have about a 40" waist and that is what I ordered. TOO BIG! Returned them (thanks Revzilla for the excellent return policy) and got the 38". Still a tiny bit big, but acceptable. They do seem to be cut a slightly big large compared to my Klim Dakar pants through the legs.
When riding the cool CA coast during dry weather, even with the vents open, my legs tend to get a little warm, as if the pants don't breathe well. I think the main focus of these pants are keeping you dry. Don't recommend them so much for rides that don't have any chance of rain. Klim has much better products for that market. But, if you want solid, never let the water through pants, these are the ones for you.

First off these pants fit at least one size large. I am 5'11" 180lbs with a 37" waist. I got the size 34L pants and the waist is huge. The pants will fall down to the floor if the belt is not used, and cinched up quite a bit. I probably would have been better off with the size 32L.
Aside from that, the pants are great. Very comfortable and with d3o armor you wouldn't even know the armor is there. Waterproof claims are absolutely true. Period. Vents flow plenty of air.
Unfortunately had a 30mph lowside wearing these, and they held up amazingly well. You'd never even know they have been down.
All in all, these pants are excellent.

Traverse pant fit compared to Dakars

I currently own a pair of the Dakar pants in a 36" tall, which fit perferctly (I don't need to cinch the waist in at all). I understand that the Traverse pants are a larger cut.
Should I stick with the 36" talls, or go with a 34" talls. I only plan to wear my Thor knee braces, and compression shorts underneath (which I already do with the Dakars, and fit fine)?
Also, does the black come in talls?

Answer:
This choice will depend on the fit offered by your Dakar pants. The fit of the Traverse will be very similar, but there is about 1 and a 1/2" inch difference between the regular and the tall size. If you are planning on using knee braces underneath, we would recommend you to get a tall version. The Klim Traverse Pants are available in Black and Light Grey for tall versions.

Some riding pants are more stand alone pants, and some work well to use for commuting over your street clothes. where do these fall? Are they easy to don/doff over your normal street clothes? Can you get your boots through the leg ok?

Answer:
The Klim Traverse pants are definitely a wider leg pant that can be taken off over a boot once the velcro closure has been fulloy opened. The overall premise of a "overpant" is that they usually incorporate a long side zipper that reachs to at least the knee if not further up the thigh, which makes it easier to take on and off than first layer pants.

Answer:
Traverse Pants are good for enduro riding because are rugged and have enough space for protection under the pants (like knee braces). I wouldn't use them over street pants or jeans unless a rainy day.
If you are looking for overpants for commuting I think you have better and cheaper options like the Revit AXIS pants.
