Epic Look!! I bought this helmet because I needed a new one and the design is amazing looking, I chose the variant style, due to the armada style not looking so cool. I received the product shortly after ordering. I don't have any major issues YET!! However, I bought this because the reviews said it was quiet, so I assumed I could put headphones in and be fine to hear them, nope I can still hear the muffler when I get on throttle, Loads of compliments on the wicked helmet, but the headphones is currently only issue.. No biggie thou.. August 2, 2015
Loved it at first Loved the helmet at first even though it arrived with a minuscule scratch on the shield and the top left vent doesn't close despite application of a small amount of silicon lube. I've had a chance to put about 500 miles on using it on both my 2013 GoldWing and 2015 CRF250l. Now either the shield or visor rattles so loudly it's distracting me from enjoying my ride. If I can't figure out how to get it to stop rattling it's a deal breaker and will be going back to ICON. Too bad because of all my 20 or so helmets I liked this one best at first J August 24, 2015
Great helmet! I purchased the Battlescar helmet while on closeout, and I'm very happy I did. The day I got it, I took it right out and did a 150 mile ride through the mountains to really see what I got into. Pros: Awesome design! I was getting compliments from someone every time I stopped for gas about the helmet. It's really a unique look! It's also light and very comfortable. I rode for about 6 straight hours with no problem. Other helmets I own will start to hurt after a couple hours, but this Icon was comfortable all day. Next, visibility is great! Much better than a standard street helmet, and finally the airflow is just fantastic, and probably the best thing about it! I rode on a very hot/humid day, and while cruising with all the vents/slots open, it honestly feels like sticking your face out a car window. There is so much airflow into, and out of the helmet that when moving I didn't sweat at all. You can easily control how much air you want into/out of the helmet as well because Icon made the vents big enough that you can operate them easily with gloves on. Cons: The helmet is a little loud, but not more than my other full face HJC or Scorpions. The visor does cause lift when turning your head. I will hand it to Icon, when facing into the wind, there is almost no lift at all, and I can even look up without discomfort, but once you turn your head you can definitely feel the visor act like a sail as it pulls with the wind. I noticed that after doing over the shoulder checks for traffic, I'd have to slightly readjust the helmet by pulling it back down. It's not terrible, but definitely a bit of a nuisance. Finally the visor is not quick change, so you basically need to chose what you're going to wear for the day. For me, I generally ride day only, so the smoke visor is a permanent fixture for me, but for those who commute and need a clear lens for early mornings or evenings, making the switch requires a tool (Included in the box) and a few minutes of your time. Overall I'd definitely recommend this helmet to a friend. It's light, comfortable, great airflow and looks great. I ride a motard so I think this helmet is a perfect accessory for it! August 18, 2015
Air flow, Comfort and it just looks good. I bought this one for the high air flow, living in Las Vegas and commuting daily in 100+ heat I find this helmet is one of the better ones at circulating air. I am not disappointed in this helmet in any way August 17, 2015
Visor lift? No problem here I've had about a dozen various helmets and this one is my favorite, hands-down. So, there's really no aero-effect from the visor at really any legal speeds (75 and below) for me on my R1, and around the century mark and a little over, it's still ok, no neck injuries :-). Keep in mind this greatly depends on your bike (windscreen?) and your riding position, but I can't understand guys saying its a problem. Touching high speeds for a few seconds is one thing, but If you're sustaining speeds of around 100 or more, you need to be on a track and you need a track helmet with no visor... Airflow...just fantastic. I'm bald and I still get hot with pretty much every helmet out there, until I got this one. It really flows air like crazy in the face/forehead/chin area, so much so that I actually close vents around 65 degrees or cooler. In 90 degree/90% humidity weather, you're getting 90 degree/90% air flowing through, so it's still hot and no helmet is going to "air condition" its own ventilation. I wear size L in everything I've had, and there was no surprise here when I bought mine. There's no quick-release for the visor, and yeah, that kinda sucks but I'm ok with it. Just don't sneeze, and keep your nose clean if you do, and you can just wipe down the outside of it still attached. This isn't really a dirt-bike/off-road helmet, but that never stops some from using it as such. I can't speak to that. You should definitely buy one. August 15, 2015
Great helmet with a few flaws I love the design of the helmet, for me the visor on the dual sport design helps when riding into the sun. The airflow is superb on this helmet, not overly noisy but I do wear ear plugs. Came with dark and clear shield plus a chin skirt. I went with the Icon due to it being more of a true street helmet as I am not going to be using goggles with it. My only real complaint with this helmet is changing the shield. More than likely most people who purchase this helmet might not have to change the shield twice a day like I do during my commute. But Icon really came up short with not having a quick release system for this helmet. My Airframe I replaced this one with could be changed with my eyes shut or in the dark. This is the fist helmet that I have had that uses screws to retain the shield in over 8 years. But overall I like the helmet. August 15, 2015
Awesome helmet and looks great I love this helmet. It is really eye catching I got the green and also added the gold face shield. Everyone says it looks like its out of halo but it gets a lot of attention. The cheek pads come very bulky but I was told that as long as you go with the right size shell(as measured) you just get different size padding to custom fit to your head. Can't wait to see how it holds up. August 12, 2015
great helmet I have had this helmet for years and I love it. I originally bought it because I had a DRZ400sm and it did awesome with that bike but now I have a victory cross country and this helmet is way more comfortable and more stable in my opinion than the scorpion helmet I just currently bought. It currently is my go to helmet and very comfortable. It is on the loud side and when the weather gets cold it can get chilli with this helmet but overall I am very happy with this helmet. The one thing I would like to see from Icon is to get Snell testing done, I just feel for the price you pay for their products they should be willing to get a Snell rating for their customers. Hernan Rene C: Zac, the helmet is amazing, friendly and really draws the attention of the people, the graphics are beautiful Thriller lyrics icon say are luminescent like diche thriller where the wolf's eyes.
In the box comes the helmet, obviously, Clear and Dark Smoke face shields, A cleaning kit and tool to change the face shield, instructions for use and care of the town and that was it.
I bought a size XL normally use size L but Icon is a little tighter and be a size more.
Not a speed helmet, I felt about 150 KM / H is a bit uncomfortable, the wind hit it hard, I recommend buying additional face shield Gold gives a great touch, has excellent visibility.
I am very happy with the helmet and would recommend 100%.
Apologies if my English is not the best, my native language is Spanish

Thanks a lot for the details.

Thank you
Best regards

Nolan R: It is an awsome helmet.. Felt a little tight at first but after a week it's great.. Comes with a clear and smoke shield. Cleaning cloth, spray bottle and a helmet sack that can use as a string backpack.. I also bought the mirror shield which is awsome during the day little to dark for me at night but great buy ... I think the gold mirrored shield would look a little better but all in all great helmet and I'm stoked I got it Oct 28, 2014

A shopper asked: I wanted to get this product for my boyfriend because he is in love with this helmet but I had one question: Does the peak come off/ is it replaceable? If so, how? Jun 13, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Courtney H: I'm assuming you're talking about the visor. It can come off, with a lot of work & delicacy, but it looks weird without it. A replacement visor costs $55 from Icon. Just remember they're very fragile. Jun 13, 2015
