This product has amazing features
I loved this helmet, it fit like a glove. I wear a size 7 1/8 hat , so a medium size helmet fit perfectly. Amazing ventilation , looks and feels great.

Got this helmet for christmas with the intent of riding it for Snowmobiling AND riding when riding season came around.
Along with the helmet I got the gold mirror lens (which looks absolutely amazing) and the breath box to help with fog in cold weather. My buddy got the battlescar with a dark smoke lens and wishes he would've spent the extra money and just gone with the Ghost CarbonXD
In the cold it works ok, The helmet does quite well for a while and never does fog but condensation builds on the inside of the lens after about 30 minutes. If you crack the lens it creates enough ventilation to stop it. The vents work fine, If your head gets too hot you can always open up a couple of vents and when they're all closed your head stays toasty.
Haven't got a chance to ride with it in the summer but so far this springs its worked great. Its very light and the visor doesn't create any extra drag like you might expect. At freeway speeds when turning your head to check your blindspot you do feel the wind but that can be expected to some degree with all helmets.
Overall I absolutely love the look and feel of the helmet and am very happy with the purchase.

Excellent ventilation, viewing angle, weight, looks the coolest
Looks - this is by far the coolest looking helmet without forcing it. It's cool naturally. The carbon and that translucent plastic shell is just killer.
Ventilation - with the balaclava on, with its tight fit, top of my head still feels the breeze. I love it. This is an amazingly well vented helmet.
Viewing angle - excellent. With deep peripheral vision, wide opening for the visor this is one nicely open helmet
Weight - at 3.2 pounds (I weighed mine) this is pretty light by my standards
My only problem with this helmet was that it does not have cavities for the Sena speakers. But I had a spare Sena mount kit that has the stereo jack for earbuds so I used that one and guess what - this will force me to wear ear buds which will also take care of my non-existing habit of wearing ear protection. Ear protection is important and I would always be lazy about it and not wear it. Now I have to; if I want to listen to my precious music! Everything happens for a reason.
Though not all people may take it so lightly so be aware of this: no cavity for the speakers.

Mil-Spec and Sexy
As my wardrobe is utterly filled with Revzilla products, I am on a mission today to be helpful and provide an up-to-date review of as many products as possible. As such, this review will be current (as of late January 2014), quick and to the point.
First off, I am a street/custom rider, so the brand's approach is dead-on for me. Might not be for racers and what have you, but to each their own.
I wear a "Medium" in practically everything ICON, including this product.
The "Ghost Carbon Helmet" is unreal - in the best possible way. Pictures don't do it justice. I'm coming from an Arai Corsair V, and LOVE this thing. The fit is what it should be, but still manages to seem "roomy." The field of view is wide, which I love. The yellow visor was different for me, but works really well on the road. I needn't say anything about the styling, cause it speaks for itself. SEXY, Spec-Ops style. Can't speak to the protection, hope I never have to. Seems very solid though. Very satisfied. 5 out of 5 stars for these reasons.
Some people feel ICON is a "bargain-brand" of some sort, but I disagree entirely. My closet is filled with their stuff, and I wouldn't spend my hard-earned money on garbage - repeatedly. Their quality has vastly improved, and the ICON 1000 line is a true winner.

I just got this helmet in today, and it was definitely worth it! I was on the fence at first about spending the extra money on this helmet, but I'm glad I did.
I've read a few different things about the drag from the visor and it got me a bit worried, but it feels fine, even at higher speeds(over 120mph). The airflow feels amazing and keeps you cool. The yellow visor is nice and it does enhance your surroundings, but I switched to a mirrored visor for aesthetics, and it took it to a whole new level of badass!
Pros: looks AWESOME!! Good fitment, wide view, lightweight, great airflow
On a side note, the symbol on the back doesn't mean "ghost" it means "shadow" which still ties in with the helmet.

Extra Cool Points
Have always worn Shoei helmets but this bucket was so cool I had to give it a try. It is quiet and comfortable and the finish is really sweet. I am glad I bought this helmet. It's light, doesn't buffet. It is so cool I'm almost okay with paying five bills for it.

Best Dual Sport helmet out there.
Super light, fits perfect, awesome looking, good venting, super clear optics (day and night). Seems like they run one size small. I normally wear a large but had to go with an XL on this one.

Very *cool* helmet
Very comfortable and excellent venting! Finally a helmet that doesn't feel like your head is sealed in an airtight container. With all of the vents open you can feel the breeze inside.
The yellow shield color makes it easier to see brake lights and intersection lights and dramatically cuts down on solar glare. Great to have a shield that can be worn daytime and nighttime! The helmet is noticeably lightweight and the extended chin area makes a great handle for carrying around (Note: I didn't install the chin guard insert that came in the box)
This is my second ICON helmet (first one was the HiViz Airframe). I would definitely consider this helmet to be a massive upgrade. Well made and worth the price paid. I'd mention the awesome style, but you already know that or you wouldn't be reading the reviews. I was concerned about wearing a black helmet and what that I would do to my visibility of other cars seeing me on the road, but this helmet definitely attracts a lot of attention!
Honestly, the only downside, like all of the Variant style helmets, is the wind noise and noticeable wind buffering when riding at highway speeds. I've only ridden with mine for approximately 70 miles so far but I am already worried about riding long trips on the highway with this helmet. It feels like the wind is trying to push the helmet off my head. Hopefully it will be something I will get used to. (Riding around in the city, however, is no problem.)
Really impressed with this helmet!
