The Icon Alliance Solid Helmet is the spirited refinement of the original Alliance SSR Helmet, its predecessor. The new Icon Alliance Helmet improves upon the original design in some key ways making it a good option for a mid-price range sport helmet. Nothing beats a solid color to emphasize the styling of a helmet and the Icon Alliance is available in a variety of colors and a Rubatone matte or gloss finish that gives the rider choice in their simplicity. The kick ass Icon Alliance Helmet packs a lot of bang for your buck which is why it is one of our favorites.
- All world standard, meets or exceeds the following: DOT FMVSS 218 (US), ECE 22-05 (EUROPE), SAI AS1698 (AUSTRALIA) and SG (JAPAN) safety and testing standards. Does not ship with SAI OR SG Certification stickers unless purchased from an authorized dealer in that country.

You get what you pay for
This was my first helmet. It was great when i got it. I still have it around for passengers. It's very loud compared to a higher end helmet. The weight is easy to get used to, but again not really comparable to a higher end helmet. If your on a budget and you aren't doing a lot of highway riding this is a great helmet. Lots of cool visors available for this as well.

Long-time Alliance User
I have a couple of Alliance helmets and love them. This was actually a purchase for my wife.
I find Alliance helmets to be extremely comfortable and fit my head perfectly. They are also very quiet and cool (temperature). Very well vented, keep your head cool in the summer. The padding is also very comfortable.
I highly recommend Icon Alliance helmets and will probably continue to purchase these for a long time.

Great helmet for the price.
I brought this helmet for my wife, so I can get her to start riding. While it does not compare with my Shoei RF-1100 you can't really get any better for the price. It is lacking those small little details that make a helmet great, but for the price I really don't think you can get any better than Icon. Icon's are the only helmet that we have been able to find that fits my wife's head, since it is quit long.

Could be great.
I love this helmet except that the air vents on top, which are glued on, are coming loose on mine after 4 months. In addition, the rubatone does get a little smudgy, but this is not a big deal to me. Otherwise it's a great helmet that I would be really happy with.

great helmet
First helmet iv owned. Great fit and look. Went with the matte black. Easily gets fingerprinted up because of the matte. Other than that it is a very comfortable helmet and has good ventilation.

The Icon Alliance will meet standards on tracks that only require DOT certification. However, keep in mind that the big majority of tracks require a SNELL approved helmet. In that case, you will not be able to use your Icon Alliance on the track.1 year ago
