Icon Alliance Shakki Helmet
So 'Shakki' doesn't actually mean anything. It's merely an English ear trying to describe the sound of a Japanese tattoo being applied. As the needles are pulled from the skin they make a sound that resembles 'shakki'. Of course we only know this through the internet. The closest we've been to a Japanese tattoo is the really cool Kanji symbol for 'Loyalty' inked on the side of our neck. Our advise? If you want wild graphics reminiscent of classical Japanese art minus the elegant simplicity, the Icon Alliance Shakki Helmet can bridge that desire for refined brushwork mised with mayhem - all without having to find out if needles pulled from your skin make any noise.

i love this helmet its very comfortable its not the quietest helmet out there but its light weights easy to wear

Freakin' good helmet!
The graphics are awesome pictures don't do it justice. Fits my fat head perfect I wear a 7 3/4" hat and it fit tight. The airflow is nice when needed and compared to my HJC this thing is light!

Pro-shield lock...BOOOO.
Love the styling...BUT. It's a little louder than expected and I am not a fan of the pro shield locking at all. Got an extra gold shield and it is IMPOSSIBLE to unlock. It took two hands to open while stopped. I wear glasses sometimes so I open and close the visor often in the FL heat. Even the stock shield was a bit difficult. And the size fits large on the up size my glasses fit great with the helmet on. It has become my girlfriends new helmet, hate paying return shipping. It's a $200 'show' helmet so my hopes weren't too high. Back to my old Arai. :-/

A daily riding helmet
I bought this helmet for its design first and foremost. The strong points of the helmet are its ventilation and awesome looks. For 200 dollars, I've had people asking me if the design was from Arai.
The downside that comes with ventilation however is exceptional wind noise. If you're riding at 80 mph for an extended period of time, ear plugs are a must.
The fit is snug and Comfortable, but it tugs at my ears when I put the helmet on. You get used to it, but it was a bit of a gripe when i first got it.
*note that helmet is not snell approved* So if you're doing hard track times and pushing it, it's best to find a snell approved..
In the end it is what it is, a cool looking daily helmet that turns heads and keeps you safe.

AWSOME HELMET!
This is an awsome helmet from Icon. I was expecting cheaper quality graphics but the helmet is awsome. with a nice clearcoat over the graphics to ensure they last. I love helmets with artwork and I love japanese culture so this was perfect for me. I love the inspiration behind this helmet. My other helmet is a shoei and the shoei is lighter but the icon is just as nice. Bang for the buck for sure. can not beat the price and quality for 200bucks! revzilla rules!!!

This is a great helmet for the price
Overall the helmet is great, the interior is very comfortable and beautiful. The only thing I still don't like is the shield "Prolock" system, that's very hard to open the shield even without gloves, in my opinion Icon should fix that with something more easy to use.

I would like to know how if you sell the side plates to the shakki helmet, if so what is the price for both sides.

I went on to ride icon looking for replacment parts for my shakki helmet. The shakki side plate part number is 0133-0634. They have revzilla listed as a authorized dealer and i would like to order the side plates for my helmet. Please let me know if you do sell them and what would be the price for the set. Thank you...
