The Icon Alliance Rubatone Helmet is a bad ass classic in matte black. While the color is a classic the design of the helmet is all new and a refinement of the original Alliance SSR Helmet. Icon engineers have improved on the original design by adding features like a more ergonomic head shape, a new ventilation system and an Icon Pro Shield. The Icon Alliance Helmet was designed with the sport rider in mind and is a great option for the rough and tumble rider. Coming in under $200 this helmet is a great option that is also affordable.
All world standard, meets or exceeds the following: DOT FMVSS 218 (US), ECE 22-05 (EUROPE), SAI AS1698 (AUSTRALIA) and SG (JAPAN) safety and testing standards. Does not ship with SAI OR SG Certification stickers unless purchased from an authorized dealer in that country.

Aria fits me perfect but way out of my price range! This Icon fit me similar to an Aria Signet Q. Great price!

Great bang for that buck
A great inexpensive helmet. I got the rubatone on closeout so it was even better. it fits a little large I think its because of my headshape. haven't tested the airflow because ive only had it in the cold weather so far. the only thing that bothers me is icons pinlock system its near impossible to open with gloves on.

Quiet and True to fit
I recently purchased the Rubatone Icon Alliance and It fits near perfect. Still need to break it in; after that it'll fit perfect. I bought a small and my hat size is 7-71/8 so the sizing chart is pretty accurate. This is my 4th Icon helmet in 4 years and I love it.
Btw Rubatone helmets don't get scratched up and I always put decals/stickers on them to my liking :)

Great helmet, even better price!
If you want a good helmet for under $200 this is the one you should get. Even better I got this one for $100. Helmet looks great and is really comfortable. The only problem I had is that the sizing is a little off. I am usually an "XL" in helmets but I tried the XL and it seemed a little tight, not enough to hurt but the constant pulling on and off would bug me and hurt my ears. So I went a size bigger and got a "2XL" which is perfect! BTW my hat size is 7 1/2.
Icon always makes great products IMO.

Everything about this icon feels like it's great quality. Best bang for buck purchase I've made in a long time.

Greg F: this helmet has great visibility, very light weight and extremely comfortableSep 3, 2013
Robert R: it looked to be about the same as the bell vortex but was on sale for $70 cheaper. i was able to pick up an extra dark smoke shield for even cheaper than the icon alliance dark package. all around this looked like the perfect first helmet for the priceAug 16, 2013
Jason M: I just bought a speed and strength ss1000 and i wrecked. I wanted to try the icon. I was originally choosing between the 2, and went with the SS one because it matched my bike. Well now I plasti dipped my bike and it is matte black. Plus the SS made my head shake a little at higher speeds.Aug 6, 2013
A shopper asked:What's the difference between this and the Icon Alliance Dark?Feb 5, 2014
maria r:I bought this Helmet for my husband and he simply loves the fit of it plus the matte finish gives it a way cool look. he has expressed himself that this is one of his favorite helmets he owns. the vents give a wide opening of air when he rides and the fit simply works. he is now looking into getting the Icon Airmada Medicine man Helmet he last tried it on and now he is looking into ordering it this week. But as of the Alliance we would recommend it to whom ever likes a snug fit and lots of air flow entered when needed in the summer rides. plus its lightweight constructed and adds a mean look when riding.Feb 9, 2014
Chris KStaff:No, these are the same, except the Alliance Dark Helmet comes as a package deal with the extra shield. Technically the closeout price of the Rubatone is cheaper while supplies last so purchasing an extra shield with the Rubatone helmet is the better option for now.Aug 12, 2013
Iran R:Its the same...I choose the Rubatone like Chris K above its cheaper...and you can customize it with decals/stickers any way you want! Also dont have to worry about paint getting scuffed up...Feb 3, 2014
