The Icon Alliance Rubatone Helmet is a bad ass classic in matte black.  While the color is a classic the design of the helmet is all new and a refinement of the original Alliance SSR Helmet. Icon engineers have improved on the original design by adding features like a more ergonomic head shape, a new ventilation system and an Icon Pro Shield. The Icon Alliance Helmet was designed with the sport rider in mind and is a great option for the rough and tumble rider. Coming in under $200 this helmet is a great option that is also affordable.

I spent months researching helmets and finally took a chance with this helmet based on it's features and price. This helmet is comfortable, fits nice and snug and has good air flow as well as looks sharp. Thank you Icon!!

all i gotta say its this is the best way to go great fit i own hjc bc i dont like to buy shoei and over price helmet but this one its a great helmet for the money

This helmet is great. It gets a good amount of air flowing through it and is really comfortable. Plus it looks pretty awesome as well.
If you have a small head, this helmet is for you! I unfortunately have an extremely small head, and had a heck of a time trying to find a correctly fitting helmet. I went to multiple shops and tried on every helmet I could find, but none were small enough. I finally found this one and it fits me great! After riding around for months with a helmet that was way too big, I put this one on and it felt amazing. So I might be slightly biased when asked how good the helmet is.
The only downside to it is that the face shield can be a bit of a pain to change out, and it sometimes is difficult to flip it open because it snags on the metal button tab that holds it shut.

I love this helmet it has a great fit i used the chart and i got what i wanted it came on time well packaged i also bought with it the green iridium lens with the all white helmet i get alot of complements on the set up it fits great has great air flow with no air leaks i would buy another.

I love the variability in this helmet's airflow. I measured my head at 21 1/3 inches and the LG fits a little loose. I would have sent it back, but I couldn't wait for the returns and everything, and it's really not too bad. Just slightly loose in the cheekpads.
I got the helmet in white, and now everyone at work thinks I'm a stormtrooper. I guess for some this might be a negative, but if you take the helmet off and drop the classic "Princess Leia, I'm here to rescue you," line, it's sure to get a few good laughs. :]

Bought this helmet back on 11/01/11 for my CA MSP class. Great airflow but the stock screen fogged up on me regardless of vent configuration. But this issue has been resolved by using Plexus Plastic Cleaner. I was given a couple of these sprays from a local moto shop and it works great.
I like the way the helmet looks. I have all the different proshield colors and my favorite setup is with the gold RST Gold Proshield. Road noise is somewhat loud especially with the super vents open. This doesn't bother me though since I have my MP3 blasting. From 0-45mph, the noise is tolerable. 45mph and up, it does get loud. Again, this does not bother me. The super vents are huge and air is just being channeled to your head directly.
First time sizing, went to a shop and was told I was a large. Tried on many different helmet brand sizes (Suomy, AFX, Shoei, Arai, Icon) and the fit was perfect back then. I've broken in the padding and its gotten bigger, just a little a bigger, plus my night riding requires me to wear a full facial mask and with it, the helmet size is perfectly snug.
Great helmet for a beginner like me, especially for the prize that I got it for.

I purchased the solid white Icon Alliance helmet: might look a bit "The Stig" ish but in 100+ degree Phoenix, AZ weather, matte black helmets are just out of the question.
I haven't had the opportunity to test the fog free capabilities of the ProShield yet since temperatures in Arizona rarely get to the point where it starts to fog however the breath deflector that came with the helmet would seem like it would do it's job.
More on the ProShield, in between the fully closed position and the completely open position there are 8 different "click levels" that you can keep your shield open.
Style wise, definitely one to get; I personally like the sideplates Icon put on the face shield hinge to hide the inner workings on the shield. There are also no big "Icon" or stickers (except for the DOT sticker) on the helmet making it low profile unlike your Arai, Shoeis with their name right on the top of the helmet.
The removeable inserts make it easy to wash so that's always a plus; not much more to say about that.
The neck strap is comfortable; it isn't scratchy or annoying to the skin around the neck.
Couple downsides but they're minimal and I'm probably just nitpicking;
- I'm Asian so I have high and wide cheekbones; when i try to remove the helmet my cheekbones sometimes wont let me take the helmet off
- The Supervent switches seem a bit flimsy
- (For the white helmet) there is about a 1 inch (2.54cm) white band around the edge of the helmet that isn't glossy: it's made of a matte white material and it would seem like this would yellow/get dirty quickly
OVERALL/TL;DR. i would recommend this helmet for any urban/city rider. Keeps your head safe, and looks stylish
