Icon Alliance Rubatone Helmet
Loud Eye Candy
Pros: I have the Chieftain design helmet. First ride at night in podunk town and got a compliment from the first person in the gas station.
I wouldn't trade the inner lining for eternal life. Silky smooth and so comfortable. 11/10 for comfort.
No fog whatsoever, despite the plastic in front of the mouth sweating. Great deflector and screen.
Wind shield stub lock is simple and effective. Takes a stupid easy push up and out with the thumb to open. Will never wear out or break.
Tall/wide view. I can see the horizon at full race tuck. Clear views with chin to tank. East to West is also unobstructed.
Aero is superb! I never realized my other helmet was turning my head in all different directions until I rode with this. Keeps your head locked straight to the wind. It even takes a tad of muscle to look over your shoulder at speed. No more stiff neck. I can't imagine it being better.
Coins: Loud over 75mph. 100+ and its unbearable.
My cheapo chinese no name was three times quieter. I need ear plugs now
My guess is the visors side caps are whistling right next to my ears. Looks vs. Rideability conflict.
Screen exchange. I took it off to get a warning paper unstuck from under the side cap when I first got it. Easy enough to get off. Took a click pen, 15 minutes, muscle, and attention to detail to get it back on. No bueno. 2/10.
Notable mentions: Top vent switch is trash. The half open position is so weak, I could push it to full open with a thread. But who cares! Open or close on top and for mouth area, as well as jowl area turn valve vents. Refreshingly simple.
D rings are easy to work with even with light gloves.
It can use a chin wind deflector.
For under 200 bucks, The engineers got shafted because this thing feels 100%. Just get ear plugs before this bad boy shows up at your door! =P

This is one of the best lower priced comfortable form fitting helmets on the market! Looks sharp in Matte black too ! I love the interior fits perfectly snug to your face! Nice!

Great for the price, but heavy and loud
For a little over $100, this was a great beginner helmet and it looks great! Although some of the drawbacks are that it is very heavy (makes my neck sore very quickly), loud, and doesn't have good air flow.

great but not perfection
My only complaint is that it's hard to take off. It fits so tight that when I try to pull it off, the cheek pads pull at my face and my eyelids. I've only had it on for at most an hour as of writing this review, and I've heard that the pads will change shape a little as it's worn, so hopefully it will become easier to take off. When on it's very comfortable and slightly tight but I dig it. I got a medium and I wear hat size 7 3/8 so it's a medium is a squeeze. It does work well with glasses/sunglasses so that's a plus.
I took it for a ride today in 40*F weather. The anti-fog shield, well, it fogged up. Only when at a stop with the shield locked shut and less then if there was no anti-fog coating. Not trying to complain too much, just sharing my experience.
Still it's a pretty great helmet. I got the mat black one and my friend says I look like batman with it on :)

This helmet wasn't anything fancy, but it gets the job done and keeps your wallet from hurting. It's actually pretty comfortable and has decent ventilation. The shape, lines and color of the helmet are low profile, which is exactly what I like. I'd say it's worth what I bought it for.

Good helmet especially for the price. I really like the Rubatone finish even though its a fingerprint magnet. Love Revzilla!

I have had this helmet for about 3 weeks now and have no complaints. It feels light on my neck and looks bad a** I also got the lightly tinted shield which really helps on bright days(not because I left my helmet on my handlebars and it dropped and scratched the h*** outta the clear shield or anything... Oops lol!) The helmet was fine not one scratch believe it or not. I'm not sure if it's the finish on the helmet or what, but it's built like a tank. No cracks on the inside either just the shield got scratched and even that wasn't that bad. I would recommend this helmet to anyone on a budget or not, if this helmet is this good at this price point I wonder what the more expensive ones are like from Icon...

Comfortable with lots of airflow
The helmet is very comfortable and provides excellent airflow. with only the top vent open I got better airflow that I have with any of my previous helmets. The fit is tight with lots of padding around your cheeks keeping the helmet very solidly on your head even at speeds higher than 80 mph. The only downside was the noise. It wasn't terribly loud but it whistled quite loudly if I looked down or sideways.
In terms of style, this helmet looks great! I thought the two "ear looking things" on the top of the helmet would be a bit over the top, but I really like the way they look from the back.
I would recommend getting this product from RevZilla. I got fast free shipping on this product and RevZilla's return policies can't be beat by anyone!
