this helmet flows more air than any i have worn in 40 years.only thing it is very noisy but i always wear earplugs so its not bad.it is very light fit is great.people see you with this helmet on.best looking helmet i ever had.

Very comfortable, and the ability to take out and wash the inner lining is nice. The button on the chin strap broke so I have to shove the excess up into the helmet by my mouth so it doesnt whip around constantly while riding. Other than that, I really like this helmet.. Oh, and I find myself holding my breath when it's cold out and I'm not riding due to the fogging of the visor. It works much better when it's a bit warmer out... like 60s. I might have to get another visor to replace.

Bought the yellow Hi-Viz helmet because I'm a new rider and I wanted to be seen while I'm on the road. This helmet is comfortable, fairly lightweight, and ventilation is good. The vent controls are easy to open and close while wearing gloves.
The "lock" takes a day to get used to, it's just a metal pin that you have to pull the shield up off of. Swapping shields also takes a little practice to make sure they are on securely. But after 2 attempts, I think I've got the procedure figured out.
Takes the ICON PROSHIELD type shields (confusing because the description of the proshield says they are not for the Alliance helmets, but the proshield DOES fit this one)
Pros Comfortable, Lightweight

Color: If you are getting this helmet, you are getting it for the color. You will not be dissapointed -the fluo yellow really pops. Unfortunately the reflective areas are not of the magical 3M type stuff, but instead are a ultra-high metallic flake silver.
Comfort: Wow. This is an Icon helmet?
Noise: Ditto. No buffeting due to wind as well.
Ventilation: No complaints in hot traffic, so it must be doing something right. No obvious feel of air over the noggin but it works just the same. The mouth vent opens bottom to top and might work better if it opened top to bottom. It sometimes feels like the vent, when open, blocks some of the incoming air when combined with a leaned-forward posture.
Fit: Icons interpretation of the long-oval also means long oval face. If you have a big jaw (like me) you'll love it.
I own 2 Arais (Profile & Quantum/f) a Bell Star (SHWING) and just recently ditched a Shoei RF 1100. This helmet has replaced my Profile as my DD. Partly because I need to meet certain safety requirements as I am in the Navy, but really because it's quiet and comfortable. Helluva deal.
