Icon Airmada Chantilly Helmet
The best helmet I've ever bought.
I changed up my bike from a bagger to a Ducati Diavel and I wanted a better full face helmet. The one I had the wind blew my head around like a rag doll. This helmet is really quiet. The air flow is phenomenal. Head stays centered. The interior is very comfortable and stylish. Love the design on the outside as well. Also, love the locking mechanism for the shield. For the money I highly recommend!

Overall Great Helmet
This was purchased for my girlfriend. She loved the Dia de los Metros (Day of the Dead) theme to the helmet. Especially, since its a nicely designed representation of her own heritage. As far as fit and comfort, she says it is just as any other helmet she's worn in the past. Though she did say the cheek and pads under are tighter. Making it a littler harder to get on her head, but once on feels very snug and natural.

a pretty awesome helmet, and at a great price. it's taking me getting use to though because the back of the helmet is lower than I'm use to

Don't let the name fool you, anyone can wear this!!
I started out my helmet search based solely on the graphics, setting a budget of $700. When I saw this helmet I knew I had to have it. I've been happily using S&S for the last few years, but this year didn't see anything of theirs that caught my eye.
I chose this helmet at first because of the graphics, which are amazing! I gave thought to the fact that it is "First Responders" and I'm certainly not one, so I did think about not purchasing it out of respect. But I then realized that it wasn't about that and made my purchase....
Fitment: Excellent. It's a race-style helmet, a bit hard getting it on and off, but when it's on it fits just right! My only complaint is the ear area, I can feel my ears touching the sides which means when I install my Scala it's going to be a very tight fit.
Airflow: The new design with the lower front vents is amazing. Being able to open and close them from inside the helmet is easy even with gloves on. The brow vent is a nice touch.
Noise Level: I've only worn it out twice since I got it, and have only been up to 75mph with it on, but it is extremely quiet. Compared to my S&S helmet, it's almost like I have ear plugs in! I'm not saying it's the quietest out there, but it definitely drops the wind/engine noise down to a point that I now realize how loud the S&S helmet is.
Vision: Very wide, love how much easier it is to check before changing lanes and while going hard in the corners. I had read some reviews that praised this improvement and I'm happy that the reviews were accurate on this.
Shield: I picked up a gold shield and the installation was the easiest I've come across. It took about two minutes to remove the clear one and install the new one, including the side pieces. Very slick design!
Graphics: What can I say, I love it! I'm not a first responder, but does that matter?? Archangel #St.# Michael was a bad-a**, winning the war in Heaven and defeating the dragon #Satanl#. The depiction on the helmet is definitely what drew me to it, very well done.
CONS: I only have one complaint, and to me it's a big one. There isn't a chin skirt on this helmet, and it doesn't look like you can install one. I've been using my old Scorpion one and moving it from helmet to helmet if one wasn't included, and sadly it won't fit on this one. While riding the airflow tends to go right up the chest and into the helmet which dries my eyes out or pushes up dust and such. Not sure why they didn't include this as they have done on their other models. I'll give it a month or so before I'd say it would impact future purchases on helmets without. If it's a must have for you, you may want to look at another model in the Icon line.
Overall I'm extremely pleased with the purchase. I love the fit, design, and weight, and my wallet appreciates the value.

Overall, I love this helmet. Still breaking it in at the moment, but so far its very comfortable. It's a bit tight getting into and out of the helmet (around the neck area of the helmet), but once inside the helmet, no complaints.
One of the features I would love to see is pin-lock, but the anti-fog visor does a very good job of keeping visibility high.

Looks sharp, fits well, moves lots of air
After considering several other manufacturers, I chose this helmet for its combination of fit, price point, and ventilation.
I measured 55.4cm and ordered a small per the Icon size chart. Apparently my doppleganger works at Icon and was the basis for their molds because their long oval shape fit me exactly. The cheekpads felt a little tight initially but have compressed slightly to an appropriate amount of snugness.
2) Price point:
Can't really argue the price point. Good value for what you get in my opinion.
Yup, it's hot in Fort Lauderdale. If you're not moving, it's hot, no matter what gear you're wearing. For ventilation, this helmet delivered for me, although it can be a little noisy with all the vents open. I haven't had it fog up on me yet.
Overall, I'm happy with this helmet. I got the Salient blue graphic because... ...I'm not feeling the pink unicorn or death skull graphics. But to each their own!

Airy and affordable
Having used my bright orange airmada for some months now on the California central coast it has done well to keep me cool. The dark smoke shield works great for every condition in the daytime and locks down nice and tight.
The vents are all easy to manipulate with gloves on, when they are all open you can not get hot unless your sitting still. With all the vents closed there is still some wind noise (no whistling) and with no chin curtain there is always a little are moving inside.
I get noticed! Always! Cars wait and get out of the way in this helmet. Though I wear a contrasting high viz yellow vest as well.
I'm sized at 54.5cm between the small and extra-small. Went with the small and it fits just tight enough.

Great first helmet, but remember to take your time choosing the right fit!
Like a number of other reviewers, this is my first full-face helmet as a new rider. I would have to say that given the price, I'm very happy with my purchase—the helmet looks good, seems solid (though, fortunately, I haven't had an opportunity to test that), and provides excellent airflow, so that even on 90+ degree days I felt comfortable when moving. My only gripe—which has much more to do with my own lack of experience in purchasing gear than the quality of the product—is that the shape of the helmet is a bit too round for my head. I didn't notice it until after logging several hours ride-time, but due to the shape the helmet has a tendency to create an annoying pressure spot at the front of my forehead, near the hairline. This can be quite distracting, especially during urban riding when you often find yourself at stop lights or in traffic without much else to focus on except the increasing ache in your head. My suggestion would be to get an idea for the shape of your head before purchasing, not just the size according to the manufacturer's charts.
Overall, I would recommend this product, especially to anyone not ready to make the leap into more expensive territory. I will be using this helmet for the foreseeable future.
