Great for the price This helmet has its flaws, one being that the shield is to hard to pull up when it gets locked down. The shield (I use the mirrored shield) also has a bit of glare/reflection. Other than that the helmet is great. It's light weight and relatively quiet. Fits my sena Bluetooth speakers comfortably. Happy with the product because I didn't pay much for it. If I had more money available I might consider trying a new helmet but for the time being this works great. November 26, 2015
Great feel and look I have an extra large head that tends to be more round and this helmet fit very comfortably. Had great air flow and multiple vents that can be closed or opened very easily. The padding is very comfortable and although it will wear in through use, does not make the helmet fit looser like other helmets through prolonged use. Only thing that would make this better is if they had a cover down by your chin to keep air from blowing up between the front of the helmet and your mouth. I had a soft go down with this helmet and it held up very well with only minor cosmetic damage and it was very minor for what had happened. The most of the damage was on the visor but even that held up very well. Airmada's fit very comfortably and I have a second one now as this one had been stolen off of my motorcycle. November 25, 2015
Solid Quality with good styling Overall this helmet is a very good value. My only issue was the shape of the helmet. My head is more round and this helmet is slightly long oval so I had a hot spot on each side of my head but was able to fix it by compressing the internal material a bit. November 23, 2015
Would buy again. I'm very pleased with this helmet and the price I paid for it. The fit is a little narrow as far as getting it on as others have mentioned but this is well explained in the videos and is due to the shape of Icon helmets. Once it's on, it feel perfect. Very good venting, keeps you cool. Styling is killer on this one. Icon has a lot of graphics options, some are pretty extreme but this is just right. Would buy again. November 23, 2015
In my opinion it's one of the sickest graphics regardless of any price. Besides my first cheap $100 helmet this is my first real* helmet. Therfore I really can't talk too much about the pros and cons. It does fit a little snug in my opinion so buy a size up. Ride on! November 23, 2015
Love this helmet I bought this helmet in blue and I just love it. Im a female rider and I get compliments on this helmet from women and men alike. I took a riding course and had the instructor ask me about and use it as an example of a great helmet and in reference to the graphic on it said to the class that he thinks it must have costed me about $600.00. Very lightweight and will not be comfortable on someone with a more rounded head but its perfect for me. November 23, 2015
great helmet a pretty awesome helmet, and at a great price. it's taking me getting use to though because the back of the helmet is lower than I'm use to November 23, 2015
Don't let the name fool you, anyone can wear this!! I started out my helmet search based solely on the graphics, setting a budget of $700. When I saw this helmet I knew I had to have it. I've been happily using S&S for the last few years, but this year didn't see anything of theirs that caught my eye. I chose this helmet at first because of the graphics, which are amazing! I gave thought to the fact that it is "First Responders" and I'm certainly not one, so I did think about not purchasing it out of respect. But I then realized that it wasn't about that and made my purchase.... Fitment: Excellent. It's a race-style helmet, a bit hard getting it on and off, but when it's on it fits just right! My only complaint is the ear area, I can feel my ears touching the sides which means when I install my Scala it's going to be a very tight fit. Airflow: The new design with the lower front vents is amazing. Being able to open and close them from inside the helmet is easy even with gloves on. The brow vent is a nice touch. Noise Level: I've only worn it out twice since I got it, and have only been up to 75mph with it on, but it is extremely quiet. Compared to my S&S helmet, it's almost like I have ear plugs in! I'm not saying it's the quietest out there, but it definitely drops the wind/engine noise down to a point that I now realize how loud the S&S helmet is. Vision: Very wide, love how much easier it is to check before changing lanes and while going hard in the corners. I had read some reviews that praised this improvement and I'm happy that the reviews were accurate on this. Shield: I picked up a gold shield and the installation was the easiest I've come across. It took about two minutes to remove the clear one and install the new one, including the side pieces. Very slick design! Graphics: What can I say, I love it! I'm not a first responder, but does that matter?? Archangel #St.# Michael was a bad-a**, winning the war in Heaven and defeating the dragon #Satanl#. The depiction on the helmet is definitely what drew me to it, very well done. CONS: I only have one complaint, and to me it's a big one. There isn't a chin skirt on this helmet, and it doesn't look like you can install one. I've been using my old Scorpion one and moving it from helmet to helmet if one wasn't included, and sadly it won't fit on this one. While riding the airflow tends to go right up the chest and into the helmet which dries my eyes out or pushes up dust and such. Not sure why they didn't include this as they have done on their other models. I'll give it a month or so before I'd say it would impact future purchases on helmets without. If it's a must have for you, you may want to look at another model in the Icon line. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the purchase. I love the fit, design, and weight, and my wallet appreciates the value. November 20, 2015

My friend has a L and it fit me nice so I went with the L. At first it was VERY tight, caused a headache after several hours of wear. After wearing for about a week it fits perfectly. I am glad I didnt go a size up. The pearl effect on the helmet is awesome. I have gotten compliments on it a few times already and people asking where I got it. Oct 10, 2014

Robert B: Anthony's review! Mar 19, 2014
John T: It appears to look great and have nice features for a decent price not a great price but decent I hope it's everything in the video Mar 16, 2014
Hector S: #1 is because the Airmada has been getting excellent reviews from everyone who's owned one.

#2 I needed a new helmet badly

#3 The graphics on this thing is SICK. It came down to this, the Chainbrain, and the 4 Horsemen. After I decided on a 2014 Kawi Z1000 there was no going around that this helmet PERFECTLY compliments it.

#4 Free RST visor. With the other 2 options I was looking at it was gonna be a separate purchase, so it made it all the easier to buy with it included.

#5 RevZilla rocks.

Alex D: From what I've seen and read (plus help from Brandon here @ Revzilla) the airmada is a 'long-oval' shaped helmet. I've had issues with other brands of helmets and this is what they recommended to me for my dome. I'm going to be getting a couple of these soon Mar 11, 2014

A S asked: I have an ICON Alliance SSR that is getting kinda old and need replacement. Do these run about the same size? Jul 18, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robert B: Don't know about the fit of the Alliance SSR (never bought an Alliance) but all my previous helmets were large and fit perfectly, so when I ordered the Airmada Bioskull, I naturally ordered a large. When I first put it on I thought it was too tight, but after wearing it around the house for a while, there were no pressure points and after a while it just felt right. So I kept it, and while it's definitely a bit tighter than the size large helmets I've had in the past, I really like it (especially when riding a naked bike) and I get a zillion compliments where ever I go, so it's a keeper! Jul 21, 2014
Reply to Robert Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark S: I've never tried on the Alliance SSR, but I also have the regular Icon Alliance helmet. The Airmada has a slightly different shape to it inside than the Alliance. I have an odd shaped head but they both fit me just fine and both are size Large. Jul 18, 2014

A S asked: my head size is 7 1/4 should I just get a medium or should I get a large? Mar 3, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Garrett S: Large, though it also depends on your head shape. I believe this is considered a long oval. I was coming off a round oval that always felt like it was pressing against my forehead too much. The Airmada in large eliminated that while still retaining a comfortable but snug fit on the sides (my head is 23 1/4"). Mar 4, 2015

Pablo P: A large bc this come a little tide Mar 3, 2015

A shopper asked: I have a size 7 1/4 head, should I get a medium or should I upgrade to a large? Mar 3, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Josh S: Large it's a pretty right helmet. Best option to do tho is go to your closest helmet dealer and try some on. The helmet size is very much the same across the board. Mar 3, 2015

John T: For me the helmet Is udersized on the chart. Go bigger! It is a really nice helmet though! Mar 3, 2015

Tasmim R asked: Hi there,
had a question about sizing,
my size in is 57cm so i guess that would be small for the helmet.
But is that going to be a really tight fit? as Anthony explained it is
not a easy on off helmet so should i move to medium?
thanks :)
Dec 23, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jako M: If you go with a small it will be tight on and off but will be perfect while riding. You can turn your head on the highway and your helmet won't shift at all. Should you get a medium it will be easier on and off but will more than likely shift around at higher speeds. Dec 24, 2014
Reply to Jako Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Roberto V: Stick with the medium bro this is a real tight helmet and will break in but not a lot. Looks amazing in person 10 of 10 in the sun bro! Good luck Dec 24, 2014

A shopper asked: In high school I wore a size large helmet, do you think a size large icon helmet will fit me or will it be too big? Nov 5, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jako M: I would say you'd still be a large. Take in consideration that this helmet does fit very snug compared to other icon helmets. I have to squeeze my head in and out of it but once it's on its been my favorite helmet to wear. Im a size large in all icon helmets and when I tried this on I thought it was too small, because not exaggerating its a pain putting it on, so I tried on the xL and it went on easy but shifted all over my face when I rode with it. Nov 5, 2014
Reply to Jako Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
A S: Thanks Jako, and I meant to say I wore a size large football helmet in high school, and idk if that make any difference or not? Nov 5, 2014
Alex D: I hesitantly say yes. For this helmet it may depend on your head shape. The Airmada has a 'long oval' shape. So it is larger front back than side to side. Sizing should be pretty similar, though. I went from an XL Scorpion to an XL Airmada and the fit wasn't that much different. The Airmada just didn't squeez the crap out of my forehead after an hour like my Scorpion did Nov 5, 2014
Reply to Alex Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Jacob P asked: So I measured my head (about 24in), which shows on the chart as an XL, but I wear glasses and don't know if they will create annoying pressure points if I go with the XL, should I upsize to the 2XL for a bit of added wiggle room, or will the recommended work out fine? Nov 23, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robert B: I usually wear a large helmet, so I ordered a large. While I don't wear glasses, I do wear sunglasses. Initially, the large seemed tight; the first time I put it on, I though I made a mistake and should have gotten an XL. But once on, the large felt snug but very comfortable. IO've worn it on all-day rides and it's been great. Nov 23, 2015

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Aaron B: I would go with the XL only because you want it to fit snug, also once the padding gets broken in, I noticed mine got a lil looser in the way it fit.. Hope that helps Sep 3, 2015

A shopper asked: My head size is 7 1/4 should I get a medium or should I get a large? Mar 3, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark S: I am about the same at 7 3/8. I'd say try the large. Since Revzilla has no restock fees you can always exchange it. I have a couple icon helmets and they are all larges. Pretty similar sizing between all. Mar 3, 2015
Reply to Mark Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
A shopper asked: My head measures 23". Would I be safe ordering the medium? I'm pretty sure my head isn't as oval as you say it should be for this helmet, but I really love the graphics...Will that effect what size I go with? Jul 27, 2014
