Great Helmet
Love the look and feel of the helmet. I bought this as a passenger helmet. I would make it my main helmet if it had built in shades like my Scorpion.

Awesome graphics to go with top of the line mechanics.
This helmet's graphics are simply unbelievable. If you are in to apocalyptic/ chaotic art work, this helmet is for you. Along with the attention grabbing graphics, this helmet has many vents that are easily accessible during riding. I did feel a small hot spot on the brow, but the pads are very comfortable, and the fit is perfect for any long oval head form. Try it out!

1st street bike helmet
So I bought this helmet from a private dealer when I bought my bike, the thing that caught me was the graphics (what can I say, I like skulls), they popped from the limited selection that the dealer had, the helmet, like what most other reviewers have found, is extremely snug when you first put it on, but the cushioning does break in after a while, and while still snug, is comfortable.
My experience regarding sound levels with helmets stems from competitive dirt-biking and riding a friends bike with a 1/2 helmet, but the sound doesn't seem to be extensively loud for me, though my ears do get pressed on the sides by the fabric, the peripherals are insane, I have to search for the sides of the helmet when riding, so I have no issues with seeing whats going on around me, the shield that comes with the helmet is clear, as in you don't really notice it, there was some slight reflection back but it's easy enough to ignore and forget about in a minute.
The only complaints I do have regarding the helmet is that, when stopped at a light, or sign for an extended period of time my breath makes the shield fog slightly, but that's semi-expected, the ventilation while riding is extremely effective, I've actually had to close some of the vents when I hit I-580, but we do get 50+ MPH crosswinds ripping on it sometimes, and that the face shield can be a bit finicky to take off to clean (bugs are attracted to these things!).
Overall a great helmet, and great design. Just purchased the silver RST shield and can't wait to see how it looks.

This product has great features.
This product is the shin digs. This product is heavy, but doesn't shake or wobble in the wind when you go above 140. It is a little bit tight puttin it k&n, but once you get it on it's nice and snug. But the more vents it has, the more areas for rain has a chance at getting inside your helmet.

Sadly Disappointed
When I ordered this helmet, I received the usual super sweet processing and shipping speed Revzilla offers. However, as I ran giggling to the door to get my helmet, I became more and more disheartened as I got to know my helmet. I wanted to love this helmet so bad, I didnt even blink at the price tag, it looked so cool.
Heres a short list, details to follow.
Cons:
Heavy
Loud
Pricey
Poor Design
Poor Quality
Lack of features.
Pros:
Cool Design
AMAZING Visibility
Good Airflow
Safety Certs up the whazzo
So I was very disappointed in this helmet for this price point. This helmet was noticeably heavier than the helmet my wife also ordered, and noticeably shorter on features. The “paint job” was pretty bad, you could see where the stickers stopped printing and just ran out on the edges.
Its not pinlock ready, at this price point? Really Icon? Also, the pin that holds the shield in is nice and solid, but a terrible design. Its a freaking HOLE in your face shield, it makes this horrible whistling wind noise when riding. Also, when you’re trying to get your visor up, if you do it wrong you’ll end up raking your fingers/nails over that metal stud, and that hurts.
This is just a personal, but the pods that cover the edge of the shield suck. They don’t match up with the stickers behind them so it looks off, plus they stick out and look really bulky and ugly. It just doesn’t fit with the cool streamlined feel of this helmet. Speaking of wind/noise…this helmet is loud, all that amazing airflow has a downside, and no chin curtain, enjoy that debris and ever so random bug in your helmet. Ever get what youd swear was a wasp stuck in your helmet at 30 mph, just to panic pull over and rip your helmet off to see a lady bug? No? Get this helmet. It’s a great story to tell.
And taking this helmet off feels like its ripping the sides of my face off, right around my eyes sockets and temple, get super raw every time I take this off more than 2-3 times. The helmet strap in snap is poorly placed, it’s a pain in the but to try to snap in your loose strap.
The breath guard says its removable, but I dare you to take it off and try it get back on. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to get the thing back in after it felt like I was breaking it to get it out. Maybe I was doing something wrong, im not sure. There were no buttons or Velcro, its just a friction fit.
This helmet is great for in town riding as the airflow really makes it wearable during in town summer riding where I would normally be so hot I skip the helmet. This lets me wear it more often and stay safer, so that’s great.
Visibility is a beast, I have to really strain my eyes hard to catch the edges of the helmet, its usually never even in my noticeable peripheral.
Overall, if you want a helmet with looks like this, its really your only option, and 95% of the reason id keep this helmet even though, it really isn’t that great. I understand its a track oriented helmet, and i can imagine with the visibility and airflow its great for that, but it was not the right fit for me at all.

Awesome Graphic, Awesome Helmet
This helmet is amazing for the price. Icon always gets me with their apocalyptic graphics. One of my favorite things about the helmet is the airflow. Almost too much, to the point of teary eyes with all vents open. Great on hot days. My only gripe is that the initial fit like another reviewer said, is very snug upon putting it on and taking it off. Icon sells different size padding inserts so ill be checking those out. Maybe its my head size being a 22 1/2 im right on the border of med and large. Otherwise a great helmet.

Good bang for the buck, but could be better.
When I first opened the box I was impressed by the awesome look, the graphics are great and the helmet appears to be of good quality. All of the functioning parts, the face shield and vent gates, open and close exceptionally well. The locking pin on the face shield is great and is smooth to operate while riding.
Once you helmet is on it is comfortable for the most part. I have noticed that you really have to pull out on the shell to get the helmet on but once it is on it fits like a glove. The channel is very small and its almost uncomfortable pulling it down over the crown of my head, more so than any other helmet that I own. I have noticed that the helmet presses against the brow area of my forehead a bit much, but a slight tilt up on the helmet and its bearable.
The quality of the helmet is good considering its price, but the plates that cover the side of where you connect and disconnect the face shield came off as I sat my helmet down today. The graphics are a bit lighter than they appear on the sight, I would almost say the helmet is more grey than black. The innards of the helmet are comfortable and easily removable.
The sound is a bit loud but nothing you can't tolerate. I ride a 600 and I could still hear myself think.
The face shield is definitely fog free but condensation really built up on the shield at lower speeds. Not a deal breaker for me because I really don't know how they could beat science on that one unless I just stopped breathing.
I would like to see ICON improve on the channel getting the helmet past the crown of the head in future designs of this helmet. I would also like to see them offer quick release tabs on the cheek pads for the medics, if the helmet is hard to get on it's definitely hard to get off. I really don't want them yanking on my neck after a crash trying to get the helmet off my head.
Good bang for the buck!
