Icon Airframe Sauvetage Helmet
Something popped into my head and was all about safety. Previously riding with a 3/4 helmet i knew i wasn't getting full protection in case of an accident. I wanted a helmet that fits just right without feeling claustrophobic inside neither looking like a bobble head. This helmet fits just right!! I'm 5'3 and this helmet doesn't look bad on me despite the fact i'm wearing a large!
It's not as easy as my open face but I can still wear my glasses inside.
I can turn my head without any trouble.
The vents work great! You can feel the air stream through your head and the front of your face. Though the top vents DO work better when your face is tilted than when its up straight.
My only complain about this helmet is noise level. There is a LOT of wind noise! I was expecting less noise than my open face, but it's opposite. This helmet does way more noise!
Over all great helmet! If you don't like the noise wear ear buds ;p

Great flowing helmet
I chose the Icon Airfame in the Rubatone finish as it matched my matte black bike. I previously owned an Icon competitor which was a great helmet and served its purpose in a bad accident hence my new purchase but I must confess the Airframe from Icon flows a tremendous amount of air and for a guy like me that sweats a lot in the Miami sun; it keeps my head cool especially with this huge exhaust ports. The Airframe also won me over as the overall look/style of this helmet is great and gets a lot of compliments.
The only negative comment I have is the amount of time to swap the visor because the extra time you take to replace the side plates from visor to visor so, I solved this problem by purchasing another set of side plates to keep them on each visor.

Best looking helmet on the market
I absolutely love the way this helmet looks, you can see the fiberglass through the clear coat. I get compliments on the helmet just about every ride I do. My only complaint is the wind noise is fairly loud in this helmet. It would get 5 starts all around if it was a little quieter.
That being said, I would buy this same helmet if I had to do it all over again :)

Great field of vision, solid construction
The Airframe is light weight and has a great field of vision. The construction is solid and design is on point, just as you would expect from Icon. Airflow is exceptional, although a little bit too much on those cold morning commutes. Noise level is average, the helmet is not quiet but at the same time it's nowhere near loud. I find the fitment to be pretty true to size with my XL fitting just as it should based in Icon's size chart. All and all, the Airframe is a great helmet at a great price. I have recommended this helmet to friends and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying one.

I've been looking for a good women's helmet that is stylish without the pink and purple butterfly's and stuff like that. This helmet is fierce! I love it!

Protect your melon friends!
This helmet is miles above my old one... Let's break it down.
Pros: Very light (compared to my old one), can turn head all the way around (little to no buffeting on a sport-standard seated position "upright").
Vision, The range of view is crazy good. and you really gotta work to fog this guy. (gasket forms a great seal, but it's relatively new still so this opinion may change)
Controls, The controls are very friendly to operate with a gloved hand Except the internal chin vent dials. (Caveat: That pin-lock is really tough to pop open the first dozen or so times)
Cons: Changing the visor... Have you ever attempted to open a can of beans using a cooked noodle, and your bare hands? That's about what this process is like friends.
Step 1: remove visor, "alright those orange release tabs are built for tiny fingers made of magic, but done." (elapsed time: 5mins)
Step 2: removing side plates... HAHAHAHAHA
"bare hands Fail, a credit card to slide under there FAIL, pair of pliers to push the plate off from the back FAIL, Spray with visor cleaner for possible lubrication FAIL AGAIN! (Considering the use of hair dryer on the sideplates) better check youtube"...(Elapsed time: 23mins)
"REALLY, got it with his hands on the first try!" (Elapsed beers: 2)
2nd attempt: got tip of finger between plate and visor, pulling, pulling, pulling, "POP" "Oh my god did I break it, sounds like I just broke it... NOPE that was my fingernail it's now bent the wrong way. (Elapsed beers: 6)
3rd attempt: Time for the big guns... "Hey babe, can you pull this plastic plate off of this visor?" "Sure"... "pop..pop" "Want me to do the other side?"
"GAWD, REALLY?... Yes, I would like you to do the other side please" "pop..pop" "here you go."
so that's how that's done.
So far it's been a great helmet, looks great (rubatone for the win) the cheek-pads are a bunch thicker then you'd imagine and you can get a little snug in there, but they are breaking in just fine, I'd say the helmet runs small but not a full size small, if you're on the cusp in sizing, consider replacing the cheek-pads to compensate.
-I would buy again

This helmet is great, I ogled it for many months before finally buying it. The only thing I don't like, is that they made the teeth look dirty, which I guess is to make it seem more authentic, but it really just makes the helmet look like it was dropped in the dirt. Otherwise, beautiful helmet, very ferocious.

This helmet is perfect
I recently got hit by a car from behind and my helmet hit the hood of a car. When I took my helmet off there weren't any scratches or any sort of a mark from that incident, while the hood of the car was completely dented and scratched.. This is a very durable helmet and icon makes the best helmets. Very, Very, Very happy with this helmet. I recommend any riders to really look into and consider getting an icon.
