First off, the looks. The design was one of the factors for buying this helmet. I never gotten a chance to view this helmet up close until I received it. Online photos is OK, but up close, the design looks amazing!
Compared to my Alliance helmet, the weight is lighter. Head checks are a bit easier and longer rides doesn't really strain my neck
Road noise is somewhat the same as my Alliance helmet. The Super vents can be used in 3 positions; close, partly open, fully open. Like my other helmet, it's somewhat loud especially with the super vents open. This doesn't bother me though since I have my MP3 blasting. From 0-45mph, the noise is tolerable. 45mph and up, it does get loud. Again, this does not bother me. The super vents are huge and air is just being channeled to your head directly.
Sizing, I have this in a Large and it's a prefect fit. Plus with my full facial mask for night riding, the helmet size is a bit tight. I still haven't broken this in yet and seeing how my Alliance worked, I believe that this would be a snug fit as well when I have my mask on.
The price is a little more than what I had previously paid for (Alliance helmet), but I got a 15% off MSRP due to my safety class. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. The design, performance, and fit is to my liking.

I was running a Shoei RF-1100 before a stack required me getting a new lid.
The Shoei has slightly more comfortable padding, but I am still breaking the Icon Carbon in.
The fit is slightly smaller than Shoei sizes, I have a M size head, and this hel;met fits a little snugger than most that I’ve had in the past . . but it still fits well.
As I’m rocking the streets on a Supermoto, style and looks are a contributing factor, and this lide get a big tick in that area. I went for the white Carbon with the gold visor . . . Hollywood baby.
P.S. it’s a bit of a fiddley system to change the visor over, be patient and it will work.

black carbon, dark smoke visor. Color scheme looks great with my ducati monster dark, always a plus.
I was riding an EXO400 by Scorpion before this guy and thought that I would get a TON more airflow. Not completely the case.. However, I realized that if you make fine adjustments to where the helmet sits, you'll get more airflow based on the angle of the cuts. I have to wear the helmet with the shield slightly lower in my view than I am used to, maybe I have always worn helmets incorrectly...
Also, because you're getting the extra ventilation, you're going to sacrifice a little bit in size. The curves are smooth so you can't really notice it unless you put it next to another helmet though, and this thing really looks way better in person. Icon makes things sexy, and functional which is nice.
I noticed a big difference when doing head checks at high speed, the other helmet tried to rip me off my bike, this feels a lot more smooth and isn't really bouncy at high speeds looking straight ahead.
It's light too. I like to ride with headphones, with vents open or closed its a bit noisy (anything over 100 mph I have a faint hip hop beat backing the rush of wind but hey that should be expected, right?). My bike doesnt have ANY wind protection either.
Overall if I was scrapping for money I would probably pass but I wouldn't have been looking at a Carbon helmet if I was. I get "nice helmet" comments with this guy, and I don't look like one of the many idiots with niiiice bikes and garbage gear.

this helmet is a lil pricey but if you are willing to spend the money this helmet is fantastic and looks great in white.

Title says it, this helmet is pure win. It has everything you need from a high end helmet + carbon fiber. I have the white one and it looks even better in person, such a sexy lid. The product development team over at Icon must have tiger blood running through their veins!

I usually wear a large helmet and I wear the XL in this one because the large was just a bit to snug for me. However, if you like your helmets to fit nice and tight then it may be true to size for you. I like everything about this helmet. It looks sharp in the white, it's lightweight, it keeps me cool, it flows a ton of air and it's very comfortable. You do get quite a bit of noise because of the air flow so I wear ear plugs but I don't mind as long as I get the air. I've changed the shield on it a couple of times and the change system has worked well. Also, it comes with a nice helmet bag. I would definitely buy again.

I have had this for 3 weeks now and have rode with it almost every day not bad for what you pay for it i am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and i think your head is worth this type of money if not more

This helmet has ear pockets that would fit the U-Clear system. There are foam 'pucks' that fill in the space for a speaker which can be removed. Just un-snap the cheekpads and you will see the piece that comes out. Other than that, no other holes or cutouts are needed. The U-Clear unit would clip onto the outside of the helmet and the wiring can go in-between the liners/cheekpads and the shell.
