Hellz yeah.
Really happy with this purchase. All around amazing lid. VERY light, but still DOT, and SNELL certified. Great field of vision. Fit is spot on, and I do mean spot on. Its going to be snug, but thats what it should be. very quite, and the aerodynamics are well done (no lifting off your head at speed). The venting is alright, and Im sure there are other helmets that are a bit better, but I doubt they are quite so track ready in design. Easy off screen with pinlocks is great, and the lock is simple but as stated in vid feels solid. The ratchet knob vents on top are ok. I think the 6 position rotation is more of a novelty, and would have preferred a more simple mechanism, but it doesnt detract from the helmet. If youre looking for an aggressive, safe, all around well made helmet under $500 then this is it.

Impressive Offering from HJC
HJC really put a lot of R&D into this helmet and it shows. I previously thought of HJC as a bit of a budget brand, but their RPHA series really changed my mind. It is absolutely a race helmet that is light and noisy with a small shell. I compare it to my RX-Q and the RPHA 10 is a smaller shell.

Great value for money.
This is my second helmet after my shoei rf 1200 and this is just as good as the shoei, but the value for money I got from this makes it a better and a smarter investment. The graphics are appealing as well, as the color changes from blue, black and purple depending how the light hits the helmet. And it is SNELL and dot rated for the track and safety.

Great Helmet
I recently purchased this helmet after researching a multitude of helmet styles and brands. This helmet is extremely comfortable and offers great ventilation. It is incredibly light weight and exactly what I wanted from a helmet. Although I did not purchase the helmet from revzilla, the breakdown videos were tremendously helpful.

Light, aerodynamic, comfortable: Recommended
I am typically a frugal shopper looking for value. Buying cheap isn't my thing but neither is spending 3 times what I have to for gimmicks or for a "gotta have it" brand. That said, I feel this helmet is a noticeable improvement when compared to helmets I have previously purchased in the $160 - $200 price point.

Light Weight - I recently rode with a friend who bought a new helmet about the same time I did (Shoei Qwest). When he picked up this RPHA 10 he commented on how light it is. I promise you it is a good bit lighter than my old HJC CL-15.

Aerodynamic - On my first ride, with my first head check I noticed dramatically reduced wind resistance. Combined with the light weight this helmet is greatly appreciated on longer rides.

Comfort - Throw in good air flow characteristics with the above two points and I feel this is a very comfortable helmet. FYI - the vents are positioned to give maximum airflow in a racing tuck position but I ride a Suzuki SV650 in a pretty upright stance and still get enough airflow to keep me comfortable here in TN.

Styling - I have not seen another rider with this helmet so I believe it is pretty unique, but I also think it looks really good. If you want to be recognized for the brand of your lid keep looking.

Protection & Durability - I have only had it for a few months and have not had an accident in years so I can only speculate on this point.

In conclusion I strongly believe this helmet represents a very noticeable improvement over helmets at the $160 - $200 price point.

great helmet
I love this helmet. It's the second HJC I've owned and is leaps and bounds better than the first. Lighter, quieter, and so much better looking, plus the vents can be opened or closed with gloves on without fumbling around. All in all, a great buy.

Great helmet, good quality, exceptional design.
I bought this helmet for my wife as an entry level helmet, and so far she loves this thing.

The quality of parts at this price is second to none. It really makes for a nice women's helmet due to the variety of color (purple, green, blue) without having the standard pink and flower patterns that often times accompany women's helmet designs.

I'm thinking about changing from my Bell Helmet to a HJC based on her experience.

Just a great helmet at a good price with outstanding service from RevZilla
First I ordered two helmets from Revzilla on a Friday and they were on my doorstep Monday with free shipping. I decided I wanted a dark smoke shield and same thing, ordered Tuesday, on the porch Thursday with the free shipping. This is great customer service. As far as the helmet I am very pleased, I have a more round shaped head and have a hard time getting a helmet with proper fit. I like HJC as they seem to build a more round shape. The RPHA 10 (Large), while not quite as round as other HJC helmets I've had, is a perfect fit for me, snug as advertised but no pressure points and not "tight". I was looking for a "step up" helmet, looked at the usual high end helmets and the RPHA 10 fits me best. Get the helmet out in the sun and the Combust graphics are incredible, the pictures do not do the helmet justice. The helmet is quieter than my other more low end helmets but it's not as quiet as I was expecting, not bad, just not quite as good as I was hoping for. Absolutely no buffeting, whistling or any other problem at speed and what I would describe as good ventilation. I've used pin lock systems for years as they actually work and was impressed that this helmet, at this price, comes with not only a pin lock visor but also the pin lock lens. My take is this helmet compares favorably with those more expensive helmets in both build quality and features, has awesome graphics, is a more nuetral head shape and does all this at a price that can't be beat.

Great helmet !!!
I generally do not waste my time writing reviews on websites. However, first, the Revzilla folks by phone/emails and at the Philadelphia store have been wonderful helping me making my choice. Then, this helmet is just awesome. I was going with Arai/Shoei but none of them really fit my neutral/round head shape. I love the shape, the style and the colors of the RPHA 10 Combust. It is very light and well finished (can't believe it is a HJC). It is pretty quiet, very comfortable... and obviously cheaper than its Japanese competitors. Now, it does not vent as well on the straight position but it does a decent job. Really recommend it !!!

The helmet is exactly the features and fit that I've been looking for since my old Arai Quantum/e. Really would have liked a color scheme similar to my white Raptor, but this one will work with my bike nicely.

My wife measures my head at 23 inches. The chart says I should be in a size large, the top range being 23 1/4. Do the charts run true, that the L won't be too small? I appreciate Revzilla's generous return policy, but I live in Ontario, and am concerned about border fees if I have to return something and then receive a replacement.
I will be riding upright, i.e. cruiser style, (I'm a new rider) and am wondering if this is the right helmet for that type of riding, or is there a more appropriate make/model? Any additional comments about the Combust itself would also be appreciated. :-)
A shopper on May 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't recall how large my head is, but I ordered based on their chart and found it to be accurate and a good fit. Of course, the shape of your head can also affect how well it fits, in addition to just the size. Fortunately, I was able to try one on at a local motorcycle shop to ensure a good fit before ordering, but if you can't do that, I think their sizing runs pretty true.

I ride a Star Raider cruiser and I like the full face helmet for winter (I live in Arizona) or long distance riding. I also have a Scorpion EXO-C110 half helmet that I wear when it is hotter or I'm going shorter distances. However, keep in mind that even when it's hot, the full face helmet is much quieter and getting hit with bugs in the face at 70 MPH doesn't really feel good wearing a half helmet, but I do like having the flexibility of both options.

Overall, I've been happy with the helmet. I've had it for two years and it's held up well. I've used the pinlock, and in my experience, it isn't perfect, but is certainly better than nothing.
