Found this helmet on the Revzilla site. After doing some research and comparing price and features I came to conclusion that I wanted something both DOT and Snell tested.
The Revzilla site clearly stated which helmets offered both these features and at the price point I wanted. Worried about fitment I went to a local store to check the sizing. Surprisingly, the helmet was a little small, but that might have been just that I have a big head. Out of curiosity I asked the shop how much the helmet was. The guy quoted me the usual "for you" price of roughly $30 more than Revzilla.
My decision was made, and I ordered it from Revzilla the next day. Despite buying a helmet one size larger than what I tested at the local shop it was still too small. Sent it back to Revzilla. The new helmet came back to my house in only TWO DAYS at no real extra cost to me!
I was honestly in shock how fast the helmet came, since I was originally bummed that I would not be able to ride till the new helmet came in. These guys are the best bike site on the net in my opinion.

I ordered the CL-16 in Silver. The helmet has a nice simple look with a nice wide field of vision. The interior material and padding is very comfortable, and I love how easy it is to pop off the face shield. The Pinlock ant-fog system has worked flawlessly; even on a drizzly day in the mid 40's! The CL-16 is simply a very good helmet for the price.

I was doing about 50 mph on a 1977 cafe racer moped I had spent all summer fabricating. I was putting the finishing touches on the tuning (2 stroke) when I believe the timing slipped during a WOT run and the engine overheated within seconds of hitting the pipe's powerband (air cooled). It seized and the rear wheel locked up. Due to the nature of the transmission I had built this caused the rear end to skid out. I was able to slow down very fast thanks to the front disc brake I had converted from a dirtbike. However, I was rear-ended from behind by a friend doing 40 mph on a motorcycle and briefly knocked unconscious. The rider behind me said he believes his wheel hit my head. I lost my glasses and visor but was quickly on my feet pulling the motorcycle off of my friend who had crashed after hitting me. After a day of supervised bed rest I'm back on my feet @ work doing well. THANK YOU HJC, You've got a customer for life. Bummer about the new bike but I'M ALIVE! :) :)

I picked up a solid white CL-16 from a helmet store nearby. I was surprised how well and comfortably it fit my head. It's reasonably lightweight and has good peripheral vision. The vents flow a reasonable amount of air, which seems to be just enough in the hot (98+) weather. My only gripe is that the visor seems to get stuck in the upright position an awful lot. I'll probably just fix that problem with some oil or something.
Great helmet overall.

I bought this helmet for my wife who occasionally rides with me around town. It's her first helmet, but she seems to like it. Fit and finish appears to be OK for now, hopefully it holds up better than the HJC IS-Max that I got a few months ago. This is a good, basic helmet that is DOT and Snell M2010 approved.
