Great Helmet
I've tried out a few helmets and this is def my favorite. One of the best features is the pin lock for the fog proof insert. That thing works beautifully! I have a few other tinted visor I use for day time, they swap out very easily. My helmet is black, so when at a light, it does get warm. The vents do a good job about sucking out the heat though. *Knock on wood* I haven't had the need to test out the protection features. But I do feel safe in it, plus it has the Snell certification (highest available.)

Great bang for the buck!
First motorcycle helmet purchase here and wow did I get a good one. Looked around on the website for 3 things... A) offered great protection B) didn't break the bank and C) looked decent. I got all that and more with the HJC CL-16. The features and price are what really hooked me. Pads are easy to take out and wash. Face shield is easily removed and installed (plus it is shipped with a clear anti-fog insert.) The helmet fits me pretty well. Holds true to size. I would definitely use the anti fog insert as the shield tends to fog easily but with it installed it works really well, no fog at all. Not too heavy of a helmet. Noise level is a bit high but i think that might be due to having straight pipes. LPSL! Overall a great helmet for the price. Definitely give this one a good look.

It's an "okay" helmet...
Bought one of these when I purchased my bike so I would have something to get me home. My bad for rushing and looking at prices only. I had to go with an extra small to get a good snug fit and usually go with small in other brands.
Coming from Shoei I'm very disappointed now that I've logged 1500 miles with it. It is very loud...lots of wind noise. Kind of surprising since it's really very snug. The other bummer with it since it is so snug I cannot squeeze a pair of prescription glasses in. Had no problem with the same pair of glasses 10 years ago with my Shoei.
To get a good fit on my crown I had to go with extra small which in turn makes the cheek pads press in a bit too much. Most of these issues are really centered around the shape of my head so I can't say it's a bad helmet. It gets the job done. If it wasn't so noisy I would probably recommend it...

Perfect First Helmet
Got this helmet as a first helmet. Tried on a bunch of other helmets and this just felt right on my head. The local shop was out of my size so I ordered it from here. Price is perfect for everything you get. The fog shield works like a charm though does give some reflections. I have nothing bad to say about it. You will not find something better at this price. Snell and DOT.

Best Value for your Dollar
I was looking for an economic helmet with good safety features and good visibility. I originally went into the Philadelphia showroom at the Navy Yard with the intention of purchasing a closeout Scorpion EXO-700, due to it's SNELL rating and ratings here on Revzilla.
When I got to the store, I was persuaded by a sales associate to take a look at this helmet instead, and I'm glad he did. The CL-16 has a SNELL 2010 certification, while the EXO-700 was only rated to SNELL 2005 standards. Also, the Scorpion's fit was quite a bit tighter than this HJC, which was snug but secure (perfect fit for my head). I might have paid a bit more, but I got a younger helmet.
The other plus about this helmet, as explained by the associate, is the pinlock system on the inside of the visor. Most manufacturer's visors rely on a chemical coating for its anti-fogging features, but HJC has a mechanical solution - it will never wear off. It's also incredibly easy to switch your visor out.
Overall, it's a great helmet at a great price.

Pinlock visor shield is great, airflow is great, design is great.
This is my first helmet. Good price and good product. I got the all white for the hot FL weather. I ordered a small but its too loose so I got to swap it for a xs. The pads are comfortable and the helmet flows really well on the road. I like the chin vents they flow really well. The pinlock visor is great and I have no fog. The pads are all removable so that helps for cleaning them.
