Not the cheapest, but I'm pleased First off, the bag is much larger than I expected. I have a tank bag that the manufacturer claims is 25L and this Givi bag will easily hold 2 of them. The comments you've seen here about 5-6 pairs of jeans, shoes, shirts, socks, etc are completely true. I'd bet perhaps even a bit more. Easily enough for a 5+ day trip. I was originally planning on the 40L bag, so glad I went with the 30L. The build quality appears to be very nice, but while the bungee cords are nice quality they are not adjustable. So, be ready to buy some ROK cords or something to attach it firmly to your bike. I haven't tested the waterproof claim yet, but from the quality feel of the material and its "rubberish"-feeling interior, I bet its true, if closed correctly. Fast and free shipping from ZLA, way to go. Ordered Monday, here on Wednesday. October 29, 2015
Good bag for the price Used it on a 3000 mile trip in September. Held up just fine packed full with 2 pairs of jeans, 5 shirts, 5 pairs of socks, shoes, sandals, 12oz squirt bottle, rags, power strip, and a few extra things. Definitely perfect for a week long trip for your essentials. Had it sitting across the passenger seat on my cbr 600. Does take some time to figure out a good way to strap it down but that's because I'm on a sport bike. October 28, 2015
3600 Miles later... Just had this GIVI bag on my Yamaha FZ-09 from Southern California, over 6 states to Sturgis South Dakota. I packed my tent, sleep bag, sleeping pad, tent poles and 4 days of clothes along with a camping stool in this bag. We rode thru rain and extreme high winds; the bag let nothing inside. Everything was dry and there was no dust to be found. Everyone in outr group wished they had this bag along with them! Givi hit this outta the park, easy to use and multiple ways to strap it to the bike., August 10, 2015
Just right Just back from a multi-day, multi-mode trip including Indiana rainstorms and budget airlines. The bag worked well under the cargo net and as a carry-on. Just the right size for four days of stuff. I didn't use the enclosed bungie cords. The shoulder strap could be a little more padded, but works fine. July 14, 2015
storm proof I definitely tested the durability and weather resistance of this bag. it held all my gear and clothes minus my tent for a 3 day trip. It was thrown around, dragged, dropped, and definitely not handled with care, and it still looks like new after cleaning it up. The D rings and straps included made mounting it on my 2003 Wide Glide very easy. On our last day and return home, we hit a massive storm we had to try and ride around. Over 10 hours in rain, wind, and stupidity of us riding thru it, the bag kept the elements and environment out if clothes and gear inside. I am about to do a longer trip with my wife, and thinking of getting the next size up. Overall, I am very impressed with the bag. April 27, 2015
Excellent bags I went on a +2k mile trip through Canada this fall. Unfortunately it rained pretty much the whole time, but the bags did great. Everything stayed dry (until I unpacked at night) and you can get a lot in them. The d-rings and the included tie downs worked well, and the ability to stack the bags like a modular system was great. Either way, great bags for the money. Please ignore my messy garage, but It was the only pic I have readily available that shows the bag in use. December 15, 2014
Does what it says on the tin. Not taken the bag out on a run yet but planning to in September for the east coast gypsy . Packed all my gear in no bother though , two man tent , roll mat , sleeping bag , all in seperate stuff bags but took the lot and space for a few more wee things. Got free bungee chords too , fits easy on back rails or seat , time will tell on durability but looks like solid construction , waterproof and reflective. Does what it says on the tin. Great bag on & off the bike!!! I bought this bag to use it for short trips, I didn't want to install a hard case, and a back pack can get tiredsome after a while. This is a great simple bag, it works as advertised, and given that you can roll to adjust its size, it fits great on the bike everytime. I've also used it off the bike during regular travel, and since it doesn't occupy much space when it's empty, it works great when you are getting short on available storage. October 31, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Jay B: Can't beat the reviews and because its Givi you know its well thought out. Using it instead of my hard bags for a short weekend trip - bike's always more fun to ride without the hard bags. Oct 26, 2015
Steven B: I needed some waterproof solutions for my commute since this coming winter looks like it will be a wet one. Oct 19, 2015
Jason L: The Givi bag is a great bag for carrying gear strapped to your panniers. The bag has loops to route your Rok Straps to prevent the bag from shifting while riding at highway speeds or while riding the backcountry roads. Aug 8, 2015
michael G: 17 day trip and need a little more storage, this one has great reviews Jun 18, 2015
Rodrigo H: Rode coast-to-coast across south america and this bag PERFORMED. I used it again for a southeast united states trip. Waterproofing was amazing, bungee cords included to secure it to the bike worked extremely well. I wish it had a bigger/zippered opening for easy of loading & unloading (there is another model like that) but this worked extremely well for long trips! Jan 19, 2015
Raymond h: good bang for the buck. Nov 9, 2014
Bill H: For storage of tent, pad, and sleeping bag while traveling on long trips. Jun 19, 2014
Philip G: Needed to add more storage space to my 2012 Kawasaki Concours. This bag works perfectly for me and fits perfectly on the back of my bike. Apr 29, 2014
Glenn R: Adore this bag. Goes on and off the bike in seconds. Holds a ton of gear.....absolutely waterproof. A lot easier to deal with vs. a top case. Apr 10, 2014
Francisco Ramon H: I've already bought givi stuff and its a good quality-price outcome Oct 2, 2013
Ryan O: Great reviews, and my current bags did not work well last time it rained. Aug 9, 2013
chris p asked: The picture shows use of bungee cords to hold down the Givi bag. Anyone use bungee cords for this bag, and if so, does it stay pretty secure? Sep 10, 2014

David F: Definitely...
The roll top takes some getting used to. But is very water tight when done correctly.
Did 2000 + miles in some driving rain in British Columbia . Worked great.
Bag holds alot, and sits better on passenger seat if it is full.
Bungee to seat rails and is very secure. Take it off the bike when you arrive
And is very easy to carry.
Well worth the money. I have a top case as well, but this allows for extra gear on 2 week + trips. Good luck......

Philip G: I use a spyder web, 6 point bungee cord to hold mine down. I'm on a 2012 Kawasaki concours, and strap it to the back seat. I've been to the Rockies and smokes this summer (roughly 6000) miles and it has stayed in place and secure the whole time. I essentially bypass the D rings all together but would not hesitate to use them if I needed a different configuration when packing my luggage. Sep 10, 2014

Jun M: I had the same impression from the photos, but it actually stays firmly when I try pulling/pushing to check before riding. I had no problem at all on my long trip (San Francisco - LA). / Suzuki DL650 Sep 10, 2014

Victor De R: It does stay put, you have to make sure it's tightly pulled and secure onto the bike, but it works as advertised - it's one of the most useful purchases I've fine for short trips in a long time Sep 10, 2014
