Pack for life - R3
Just got my R3 today. My expectation was for the product to have been packaged well, be well constructed from high quality materials. It must be good looking but not over-the-top. I expected the product to have more room than the Kube, to be practical and can stand-alone or in tandem with the Kube and/or R25. I do not expect a fanny pack. I would not expect anything less since the R3 is at the higher spectrum in the price-point catagory.
I was not let down. Packaging was as good as it could be. The product met all my expectations. What I didn't expect but was pleasantly surprised was the actual appearance and size of the R3. Pictures only do it some justice. The two white vertical straps gave a distinct visual que. In my opinion, it really does look so much better "in person."
I now have 3 Kirega packs to my collection. Each one has its own purpose and works well by themselves. In any combination, however, my 3 packs becomes a reliable and practical travel system. Did I mention they look awesome!?
Those of you wanting to carry the bare essentials and wear jeans to ride, the Kube is good on a belt for that extra room. But if you wear leathers or textile riding pants, the R3 is best to stash your phone, wallet, paperwork, charger, shades and still have room for a camera!
Kriega's are more expensive, no doubt, but the 10-year warranty, durability and practicality they offer is well worth the price. I highly recommend this product.

I was planning a ride from Los Angeles to Chicago on a combination of country roads, state roads and the interstate highway.
I saw this waistpack on the Revzilla website and decided to pick it up. Its expensive but does its job really well.
They use impressive material's on this waist pack. The buckles are solid, the pockets are completely waterproof. My practical experience was that i got caught in a thundershower which left me soaked wet to my bones and shivering, but my camera, phone & wallet were snug and dry inside the pack.
The design is also very thoughful with a zip pocket for quick access as well as a roll top main compartment. Its also got a quick tightening mechanism which you can tighten or loosen with a single hand.
Its a high quality pack, wish it was just a tiny bit cheaper so its more accessible to more riders.

R3 is great product. Quality is superb , its rather big but also practical. I use it in combination with kube becouse i put r3 on back and kube in front for key phone... Only con would be that inner ouh and the way it closses makes r3 a bit bulky, i think zipper wpuld be better. Also it would be good if there was some compartment outside for quick access so you wouldnt need to unclip bag for every use.... All in all great product , it feels it would survive every possibble scenario....

Vin L:You would have to bend the face shield substantially so I wouldn't. A tank bag is a better way to go for carrying something like that. I have this bag and use it almost daily on and off the bike for my gear.Oct 14, 2014
