Solid as can be
There's a reason everyone points to Givi when it comes to motorcycle luggage—their cases are just the best. This particular case has really impressed me, even though I knew to expect greatness. The interior size is great and the exterior size is no wider than my mirrors, so I don't have to worry about clipping anyone. I really like the document holder on the inside of the case for my registration and insurance docs. The interior lighting (with the optional kit) is wonderful and the extra tail light kit makes me extremely visible during night riding. Everything was very easy to install on my Kawi Ninja 650R.

The box itself is extremely sturdy, and the Monokey 3 point mounting system holds the case securely to the bike. No movement or "jiggle" at all when you try to move the case around on its mount. Through corners and at speed the bike is still extremely stable and the interior elastic straps definitely help to secure loads and keep them from flopping around. Also, the locking system seems to me to be very secure and I have a hard time imagining how someone could get through the plastic without an axe.

I'm extremely satisfied and would definitely go back to Givi again if I ever need another case.

Expands the possibilities of my bike
The product has been a good addition so far. No noticeable impact on the ride (no additional noise or drag) and it allows me to both pack some gear for multi-day trips or simply stow my helmet away when I don't want it hanging around. I like the locking mechanisms and the ability to easily pop it on and off the bike.

Only drawback is that it was advertised as a 2-helmet top box, but it doesn't fit my helmet unless I put it sideways. Just unfortunate. My girlfriend and I both have HJC FG-17s, they aren't the biggest full-face so I really expected to be able to stow them, but it just won't happen. Oh well, that's what happens when you try and cut it close.

Great product.
I bought 2 mounting brackets. Moving the top case from Honda St1100 to my Honda Reflex 250 is very fast and simple. Looking to add the lights next.

Great OEM replacement
BMW top box is way too expensive and check all the forum comments on top boxes and Givi had great reviews. Checked Revzilla video and ordered. Once you get the key operating down, it is a great box. Also added the back pad.
Great purchase!!

Not too shabby
This box is very well put together and mounts solidly. It would be nice if it didn't cost so much, it's a box, but that's not RevZilla's fault. For the price I was expecting the latch for the lid to be metal, not plastic. It is high quality though, I'll keep it.
RevZilla had it to me two days after I placed my order!

Great solution
I tried using a soft tail bag solution for years. I had original equipment BMW luggage rack and back rest. I at first didn't want to replace with Givi hardware. I am so glad I finally did. This is an excellent top case. Perfect for the extra waterproof storage. Looks great on the bike with original Sidecases. Plus a lot cheaper than the BMW top cases. Using on 2004 BMW R1150R.

Great product
This case was very easy to install with the correct mounting plate for my ST1300. Looks good, functions well, holds a lot. What more can you ask? The only knock I have on it is that you must use the key every time you open the case so keep a key handy.

Great Topcase
An excellent product. The locks and latch mechanism are extremely well engineered, as is the base plate and attachment mechanics. My installation required some customization, as I had non-Givi side racks, which caused the two post supports in the back to be misaligned with the base plate holes. The solution was fairly simple though: get two round-head metric screws to replace the flat-head screws that come with the base plate and drill new holes in the base plate where the posts end up once you've attached them to the bike. Use round head screws because you *don't* want to counter-sink the new holes.

Excellent top case which really matches my 2014 BMW R1200RT
This is an excellent top case and much more economical than the BMW version. The only reason I downgraded the Ease of Install was not due to the top case but the installation of the top case holder which is specific to the bike. It was somewhat difficult to follow the instructions as it was all diagrams and no verbal help. A combination of the two would have been useful.

The Givi V46 Tech really is a quality product.
The Top case is well made. The V 46 Tech Looks sharp with the clear lenses and the red LED lights, I selected for tail, stop and turn signals.(used another well know manufacturer for light kit) The Top Box is larger enough for most travel, and perfect for daily use.I would recommend this Top Box.

I purchased the mounts and top case so I can haul a passenger and still take items along for the ride. Fits two full faced helmets and that's what we needed.

Price per liter and color with tail lights not being red. Not distracting looking. Seems more aerodynamic than trekker case.

Givi makes a great product. We have used one for years and it is time for a new one. It stores everything we need very securely and can even double as a beer cooler on any camping trip. Love it!
Melissa G on Aug 11, 2014
This is great for everyday commuting needs and I had not got a lot of mounting options for my aging BMW K1200RS. When touring it also is great for the nick-nacks and raingear. This brand is also easly interchangable with my other bike. The monokey range is considered harder but heaver than the monolock so I picked this monokey version.

Quality name. Have used Givi products in past; and smaller BMW case although good quality too would have cost twice as much.
John M on Jun 11, 2014
With my bike, brake lights are not available, so this case's coloration works well with my bike. The size differences between this and the 47 or 52 liter cases is very minimal for a noticeably less expensive case.

I have another Givi case already and it is awesome. I am perfectly pleased with it. Mounting the rack for it can be a pain, but once done it is very useful and satisfying.

I wanted more storage space on my Concours for a long trip and this definitely fit the bill. The case is simply great: built extremely well and has plenty of storage!

The price includes all the accesories for mounting the case on the bike
A shopper on May 22, 2011
BEST ANSWER: No, actually, the price only includes the topcase. There are two other pieces required depending on the make and model of your bike. The mounting kit and the top plate. Search through the Givi products by choosing your bike model to filter to the correct items.
Hi, does locking the case also lock it to the rack? I am asking because, well, I am looking for a case that I can leave on the bike and, like, go to the bathroom without having to worry about it just being taken in three seconds. Thanks Aleks
A shopper on Aug 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does. The key locks both the cover and case on the rack. The only thing you can not do is just lock the case on the rack and have the cover unlock and be able the open and close the case without the key. That's not a problem for me but some may want this function.
I have a 2006 Kawasaki EX650A (650R) and I'd like to get a Givi Monokey topcase for it. I know I need to get the correct mounting kit for my bike, but I'm not sure how to find out which mounting kit that is. Can you help?
A shopper on Oct 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Goto Givi USA . com

Then copy and paste the part number in the search bar on revzilla.coms' website or in a search engine like Google and you should be able to find the mount.
This is a pretty specific question but I want to make sure i get the right case. I have a laptop measuring 10.5" (27cm) by 15" (38cm) and want to know if it will fit in this case. If it does can it sit on the bottom of the case or would it need padding up to a wider point? All help appreciated!
A shopper on Jun 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, that size laptop will fit inside the Givi V46 Monokey Top Case. It won't fit perfectly on the bottom though, the locking mechanism gets in the way. And unless you have a hardened laptop (like a Dell XFR) you'll want some padding in there anyhow. Your laptop will slide around inside the case pretty easily unless it's in a large laptop case or you put some foam or rubber down.
Will this case hold 2, Scorpion Exo helmets?
I am looking to install a Givi Top Case on my 2005 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and am looking for storage for two Scorpion helmets (EXO 1100 2XL & EXO 400 XL). Just curious if these two helmets will fit in the Givi V46 cases or not?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will hold two helmets. I have and exo 400 in 3xl and it will hold 2 of these. This will make it full though. If you want to put anything else in you will have to place the items inside of the helmets.
I would like to put a Givi trunk on my 2007 K1200S BMW. Can I mount the system on a stock BMW rear rack? I'm thinking I would like to have the monkey setup so I can take it off.
A shopper on Apr 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Good question and I hope I can help. I have a 2013 BMW R1200RT. I got the V46 with the attachment plate. The installation was very easy and once you get the hang of the key/handle combo, it is a great addition. When I stored my bike in the shed, I removed the windshield, panners and top box. Everything was smooth and easy. The V46 is great and my only caution would be to make sure you keep all packed goods in the panners and top box away from the seals, they can bend. Hope this help.
Is it possible to get a Givi top case with the same key as my side cases that I already have? My helmet is an HJC IS Modular sized XXL and I am looking for a case that will hold it, what size would you recommend?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: For your question on getting the same key, I expect only Givi could help there if you gave them some key code. My helment is a Arai XL full face and fits easily. There is not enough space for another helment but may a kids size. I did remove the interior plastic document holder for added space but this was not necessary to fit my helment.
does it fit to a bmw f650gs,with out doing any modifications?
A shopper on Nov 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It fit on my 07 f650gs no problem. You will need to get the correct mounting kit with the top plate. The plate just bolts onto your bike replacing the stock bolts, then the case just snaps onto the plate. That way the case can be easily removed later. Full mounting kit for me included side cases and took maybe 20 minutes to bolt to the bike.
What mounting hardware do I need to mount the GIVI V46 to a Vespa GTS 300?
Tony R on Mar 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Tony, Eric at Revzilla put me in touch with Givi when we were trying to determine what hardware was needed for my bike. He called them, but they wanted to talk to me directly and were in fact helpful. They even solved an installation problem unique to my old BMW. I'm sure they can do the same for you. Eric set me up with everything I needed. BTW- I added a LED light kit that's a fantastic upgrade!
Will this fit a 2012 gsx-r1000?
A shopper on Aug 3, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Givi does not currently offer a mounting kit for the Suzuki GSXR 1000 to attach Givi Hard Cases.
