Great case, poor passenger backrest
The backrest points down in a way that the sharp ridge hits the passengers back. Sadly, I didn't figure this out until I had already drilled the holes and mounted it to the case.
I had a previous Givi , but the backrest was a better shape.
Not so this time. I returned the backrest.

Darn thing won't stay locked!!!
Initially I was very satisfied with the V46. Well designed. Solid construction (or so I thought). Easy to install. But after about 5,000 miles, the locking mechanism fails whenever I go over a bump in the road. Whereas nothing has gone flying out of the box (the top stays down, though unlocked), getting on and off my bike just to re-lock the thing (the rattling is unbearable) is a real pain. Perhaps this is a lemon, but I will be looking elsewhere for my new bike.

I love the look and feel of this case.
This is a high quality piece of equipment. Well worth the price. I can not fit 2 full face helmets in it but have been able to carry lots of other stuff. I have only had this for a few wks so I can't speak to long term durability but I don't anticipate any trouble.

Sufficient space, easy install
The instructions for the NC700 make it look like the pieces for each side of the side bars are identical - they are not. Once you get them on the right side, though, it's easy enough to install with basic tools and holds plenty of gear for commuting or hanging around town. On a long trip you'll probably want saddle bags for more space, but for primarily communing this trunk fits my need perfectly.

Nice product
Although a bit pricey, the fit and finish on this system is excellent.
