Answer: 
Both are the same capacity and have the same mountings. The E30 is only available in Matte Black and can accept a brake light kit. The E300 is available in multiple colors but cannot accept a brake light kit.

Answer: 
In order to mount either the E30 or the E300, you will need a separate mounting plate for your Piaggio MP3 500. For model years 2008-2010, you will need E710M and for year 2011, you will need SR5600M. The universal mounting plate that comes with the cases will not work with your vehicle.
