Bell Vortex Rally Helmet
Quite possibly the best bang for your buck
I needed a new helmet, and while I was looking for a helmet, it had to meet a few requirements: 1) Full Face 2) DOT and SNELL rated 3) Vents for airflow 4) Tinted visors available 5) $200 or under in price 6) Had to look awesome
And man did this helmet hit those marks. Visually, the helmet is stunning, its a beautiful matte black with a matte white stripe going down the middle, front to back. I get compliments on it everywhere I go.
Considering that this is a SNELL rated helmet, you couldnt ask for a fairer price, most SNELL rated helmets are well above 200 dollars, but this one did it for under 200.
It has a visor quick release system, which works great, I bought the dark silver iridium visor, and I switch it out almost daily for the clear one, depending on the light conditions outside. The vents work great, but in order for them to work at their best, a tucked in position or 3/4 position is recommended. The visors come with an anti-fog coating, which although I havent really gotten to test yet due to the warm weather, when I breathe onto it, it doesnt fog up in the slightest, so Im sure itll work fine when the cold weather starts coming in.
The helmet is comfortable, the padding is quite soft, and it doesnt weigh that much, which is great on long rides.
Now, in terms of quality, sure its not going to be on par with that of the 500+ Arai helmets, but the value in this helmet is worth so much more then the price, I really cant complain about anything. It most definitely does not have a cheap feel to it, it feels well built and will definitely last me a good long time.

Awesome helmet at a great price
Great ventilation, sharp look and quit. Bell Vortex Rally Helmet The Bell Vortex is every bit the helmet youd expect of the Stars little brother. Developed in Bells state-of-the-art Santa Cruz, Calif. design center, the Vortex borrows...

Relatively cheap and still a quality helmet
The helmet looks nice and fits well especially for the cost. The vents are easy to open with gloves on and it gets a good amount of air flow. The visor does not fog up. Would recommend.

GREAT BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
SNELL rating for under $200! need I say more?
love the color scheme - matte black with white rally stripe down the middle. Paired it with the dark smoke visor and it looks bad@$$!! matches perfectly with my black and white dianese leather jacket.
helmet fits great - great airflow, fits a little snug around the cheeks, but I'm sure it'll break in and soften up a little.
for under $200, this helmet is a great buy. a little on the noisy side, but nothing overwhelming.

Nice helmet, Just not for me.
First and most importantly; I purchased a Medium. My head circumference is 22-5/8". I think my head is intermediate oval maybe a little more oval. I prefer a more snug fitting helmet. For comparison my RF-1200 fits me perfectly and I absolutely Love it.
I think its import to give that information so you have something to go off of, not just "this helmet sucks, its huge!".
For the money this is a nice helmet. I think the styling is cool, I love the rally stripe look. the cheek pads have a Dryfit type lining that I'm not crazy about, I find it irritating on my face after longer periods of riding. It fit me a little large, mostly wide. I found myself adjusting it while I was riding (pulling the chin bar down). I think some of the other problems I had with the helmet was because of this. It was both noisy from wind noise and engine noise but again this could be because of the poor fit (so if you're a more oval shaped head try something else). The ventilation is excellent which might contribute to the wind noise so it's a bit of a trade off. I did have problems with buffeting and lifting at higher speeds. Also movement during high speed head checks.
Again I think most of the problems I had was do to a poor fit for my head. I do fall well within the Medium on the size chart but it was still a bit large for my head and it looked slightly large on my head. For the price, if it fits you well, it would be a good helmet, just not for me. Hope this is helpful.
