Bell Vortex Monarch Helmet

Developed in Bell’s state-of-the-art Santa Cruz, California design center, the  Bell Vortex borrows heavily from its big brother the Star. With a solid compliment of features the Bell Vortex is a great choice as a primary helmet for everyday use that can also transition to the occasional track day. RevZilla's Opinion of the The Bell Vortex Helmet

The Bell Vortex Helmet has grown to be one of the top selling and more ubiquitous ~$200 sport helmets in the RevZilla family. The light weight, Snell Rating and ability to use the Bell Photochromic shield allow the Bell Vortex Helmet to cover a lot of the bases the typical sport or track day rider is looking for in a reasonably priced helmet. Many times we see this type of functionality only available in helmets over the $300 mark. In the 3/4 or tuck position the Bell Vortex Helmet will provide a great solution in just about any spirited or sport riding scenario. If you find a graphic or color that suits your taste and you have an intermediate oval head shape, the Bell Vortex is a great option.

Looks custom! I really dig this helmet. Its a little heavy but looks custom. I have the silver midnight version and I love that its feminine without being pink! I'm really happy with the anti-fog coating on the shield. Its a really good value and I get complements on it all the time. May 13, 2013
Comfortable, Excellent fit Great helmet. First one so don't have much to compare it to for noise or field of vision. Seems a bit noisy and field of vision is great, but like I said...not much to compare it to. March 27, 2013
Great Helmet I haven't actually gotten to ride with this helmet yet but it is my first and it is gorgeous. The photos do not do it jusice. The helmet is a good fit although the cheek pads are a little tight... Either they will break in or I will buy a smaller set. All the vents and the little magnet on the chin strap are nice extras. Decent helmet for the money Bought this helmet for my wife to go on rides for me. The pictures do not do it justice, it's very "sparkly" in person. which means my 4yr old daughters LOVE it, and so does my wife. Fit was good right off, and her only complaint was the cheek pads being tight (hmmmm, isn't that the same for everybody?), now she says they are perfect. Venting is great, and so is visability. When the vents are closed it makes it nice on a cold day. The speaker pockets worked great with the uClear UBC200, and when the visor is pulled down tight communication is great. Which brings up my one issue with it, The shield is hard to pull all the way down. Once down the seal is good, and reduces road noise by a significant margin. Sure it's a little heavy, but it's also less than $200. BTW, it says "Rides 2001 KTM 400 SXC" which I do off road. But I bought this helmet so we could go on rides on my 2012 Kawasaki Z1000. Bang for the Buck! The helmet fits great! Very little buffeting. The ear holes on the side of the helmet create an extremely loud whistle. I am going to find something to fill these with and I think the helmet will exceptional. October 27, 2012
Beautiful Graphic & Great Features! I LOVE this helmet. The photos do not do it justice! There is just the right amount of sparkle to the helmet graphics which cannot be seen in the photos. The sizing chart is "spot on"; airflow is great and it has a light comfortable fit. I recommend this helmet if you are looking for comfort, fit, style & extra features!! October 21, 2012

Comes with a clear shield. You would have to order a separate dark smoke shield. I think they're around $30.

We have not run into any complications during installation for this helmet. The Sena SMH-10 Bluetooth Headset is easily installed on the Bell Vortex. It will take approximately 10 minutes or so.
