Bell RS-1 Emblem Helmet (XS Only)
Best Closeout I've ever bought
Last helmet is around 7 years old, so the feature set of the RS1 is a huge jump for me. The lock for the visor allows you to crack it or lock it down, which is nice. Slight buffeting on head turn at freeway speeds, nothing when wind hits you straight on.
Ventilation is good, but shutting it out is not really an option. There is always a little ventilation in helmets, but this is slightly more than normal. I live in Southern California, so thats not not much of an issue for me, but it could be for spots with more weather.
Speaker cutouts work very well with bluetooth on, had a bit of a problem getting the collar back in the right spot though.
All in all its a great helmet, had it a little over a month so far, no major complaints.

I recently got this helmet to upgrade my older Bell Vortex. I had an older vortex with the magnetic strap holder like in this helmet. One thing that I love. But since the bell Vortex no longer has it. I had no choice up to upgrade. I did notice the weight difference. Lighter then the Vortex.
Sizing.. The vortex is slighting larger then the rs-1. But I was able to get the same sized helmet.
It is hard to tell if the top vents or brow vents are open or closed. Not much air flow. The Bell vortex does have much more airflow on the top of the helmet. But with the chin vents. The rs-1 flow tons more air.
One thing I had issue with the rs-1. was when riding, didn't matter if all the vents were closed or open. I would get a draft of air right into my eyes. Causing them to dry out. I did some research and found a people that had the same issues, but found no solutions. I found when riding if I placed my hand under my chin curtain, the draft would go away. So I made a windproof chin curtain that is also much longer then the original one. That fixed the issue. I now like this helmet much better. I attached a picture.
Over all its the best choice helmet for me. As i wanted a Snell approved helmet that I can still use my transition shield with.

I like the shield that comes with it too.
The design shines; yet I wanted the off- white-ish yellow to be more white. Regardless, it's a cool design. Fits great, no internal visor but who needs that when you have a transitional face shield.

Inrecently purchased this helemt as a replacement for my old helmet. I purchased because of reviews and styling. Plus it is just a bell, so you know you are getting quality goods. This helmet is light on your head and has a wide view. Super comfortable! Very impressed with the rs-1 helmet!

I imported the helmet to South Africa and waited 2 months thanks to a postal strike. It was so worth the wait! A little tight but I just know the fit will be perfect once its settled in. Width of vision is the best I've ever had and build quality exceptional. The ventilation system works perfect and easy as sin to operate. It isn't the quietest helmet but that is probably all negative I can note. I knew I could expect a great product from Bell!

A good helmet
A true-to-sizing fit; really nice features, and a pretty cool design. Airflow is a little less than I expected, but not bad. The bag that comes with is pretty nice, too. All-in-all, a very good value for what seems a very good helmet.

Great Helmet and I hear great things from my track brothers
Great value and Bell is no longer the cheap (price and quality) option of old. Many a racer trusts their head-guts to them know and I am very happy with mine so far.
