Bell RS-1 Emblem Helmet
I imported the helmet to South Africa and waited 2 months thanks to a postal strike. It was so worth the wait! A little tight but I just know the fit will be perfect once its settled in. Width of vision is the best I've ever had and build quality exceptional. The ventilation system works perfect and easy as sin to operate. It isn't the quietest helmet but that is probably all negative I can note. I knew I could expect a great product from Bell!

Great design and airflow.
A bit noisy but over all a great helmet with good features.

Great 1st helmet!
This is my 1st helmet. I have had this for a year. Its been working and continues to work well. Though I did drop it about waist high and it landed on the rear top vent and it broke off. Also the front mounts near the forehead for head liner clips eventually came loose and got 1/2 way pulled out when I was taking out the head liner to be cleaned. Those are wear and tear issues and owner blunder. Perhaps they could be improved upon in future? I would buy again knowing that I would be more gentle with the helmet. I think I would go Medium next time too. I bought a "M" Bell Vortex from Revzilla and it fits a little better but I got it for a second female rider/back up. Compared to the Vortex the RS-1 is softer interior and the noise is much more muffled than with the Vortex. Lastly, the venting is the best, the helmet keeps me cool even in Hawaii!

I have two RS-1 helmets, both wired for Sena SM-10's. My face is round and full, I wear an XL and this fits the best -- even better than my Shoei.
My only complaints are that the airflow, when stationary, causes my glasses to fog when I breath - however this could simply be a function of my head shape and the way my glasses fit. Little to no wind noise except when you turn your head to do a head check. Perfect integration with the Sena and easy to install.

Great step up helmet
I splurged on this helmet after owning a very cheap Speed and Strength helmet for a few months.
This helmet has been a great investment. It's quiet, comfortable, pre-rigged for a communications device, awesome looking, and the visor change out system could not be easier. Another great feature is that you can remove and wash the helmet pads once you stink them up! The only thing I regret is I wish I would have sized down to a small. I was on the border and went for the medium size. Once broken in, it is still snug, but it is a bit looser on me than I'd like.
My only gripes with this helmet is my size medium shell is much larger than my old S&S helmet. I look a bit like a bobble head. And the anti fog coating that came on the face shield kept giving me trouble the first week until I just ran it under water and washed it all off. The helmet has fantastic venting and you can even crack the faceshield so fogging up is never an issue with this helmet.

Not very comfortable for tucked riding
This helmet is fairly comfortable on a straight up sitting position, however, when riding a supersports bike (I commute on a R6 everyday) where you usually want to tuck in a bit, it's not very comfortable, the back of the helmet is very low, and when you tuck, the padding in the back of your head/neck, pushes the helmet forward, causing you not to see well up front since the top of the helmet gets in the way of your vision.
This makes me have to constantly accommodate the helmet on my head a bit with my left hand every time I tuck on the highway, not fun.
I'm thinking about keeping it for when I go on longer rides on the other motorcycle I use for traveling longer distances, but for using it on a sportsbike, I'm shopping around for a different helmet and a different brand.
In other words, if you own a supersports bike, stay away, otherwise, very nice helmet with some good features.
It's the quietest helmets I've owned. It's got the visor lock, and pockets for installing a Sena intercom, which is very nice and makes it an easy and quick install. I also got the Transitions SolFX Photochromic Face Shield for it, and THAT was a good buy, highly recommended if you get this helmet, a very nice shield.

I chose this helmet because it was Snell certified, it was a comfortable fit, and it had an optional transitional lens.
The helmet is loud, but nothing like my prior 3/4 helmet at highway speeds. I find the chin curtain doesn't do much, but deflects enough wind when the air is cold. Opening and closing the vents is easy. The helmet also doesn't weigh too much which is nice for the long rides. Barely, if any, wind buffeting in the 3/4 positions and lane checks are easy to do. The venting is okay, but was expecting more based on other reviews.
Overall a great helmet at a decent price.

Air flow too much
I like the design and fit of the helmet.. Light and great visibility, however, I seem to be getting a lot of unwanted air flow even with the visor locked... I have the transition visor on and it works great but wondering if the visor fit is a bit off. Getting a little cool out and cold air makes the eyes water, not good for less then perfect conditions.
