Bell Bullitt RSD Viva Helmet
Love the Bullitt!
Visibility: Coming from a Bell Custom 500, I figured that a full-face helmet would be a step down in visibility, but not true. It's actually better! I never thought about it before, but I've always worn goggles with my open-face helmets, and never realized that those goggles were limiting my vision. Riding with the Bullitt for the first time was almost a visual 'information overload'. I could see 180 degrees, with almost nothing of the helmet visible in my peripheral vision.
Nose level: I agree with other reviewers here, that if you're currently using full-face helmet, you'll probably find this helmet loud—even when riding around 40 MPH. But if you're used to a 3/4 or 1/2 helmet, you'll be very comfortable with the noise level (I've always worn ear plugs anyway). There is some whistling through the visor at certain head angles, but for me, this seems greatly reduced when I keep my head up/level (which in my book, keeping your head up isn't a bad thing).
Size: Bell in general seems to run small. When I bought my 500, I initially bought a Medium, based on the sizing chart, and had to send it back. ...not even close to being big enough. Based on that experience, I bought a size 'Large' in the Bullitt as well. While not uncomfortable, it's definitely tighter than the 500.
Finish/Style: I bought the Black. The finish is perfect, and combined with nice accents like the rich brown interior liner and leather visor pull tab, it's beautiful. One thing I noticed: The large 'disk' on either side of the helmet which is part of the visor attachment is NOT black, as illustrated in the pictures; it is silver, and in my book, MUCH better looking. ...really adds to the retro style. Not sure if this is the case with all colors.
Overall a great helmet, and a perfect addition to the retro styling of my Bonneville T100.

Safety and wide vision
Exactly what I wanted - a full face helmet with the vision of a 3/4 helmet. Extremely comfortable and fits perfectly - I wear a 7 5/8 hat and the 2XL is perfect. It looks and feels of very high quality. Some reviews say it's very loud but coming from a 3/4 helmet it is much quieter. As for looks and style it's awesome. I ride a Triumph Bonneville and it matches my brown leather jacket beautifully. The price is a bit steep but it is worth it to me as I feel like it was built just for me.

Easy to wear around town fashion helmet
You can actually chew while wearing this thing without biting your cheeks, that's how "relaxed" the fit is compared to other full-faces, and the field of view is also HUGE.
**BUT for the following reasons I would call this a style helmet more so than functionality helmet:
It isn't possible to ride with the visor up. Besides creating tons of lift and whistling, the visor won't even stay up at speeds over 50mph...you can put it up yes, but there is a 100% chance it will come slamming down if you tilt your head forward even slightly. I mean seriously slamming down. I actually don't use my hands to close it anymore, just flip it with a little toss of the head. The visor also rattles at speed. I've never had a problem with it blowing open though, and the tab to open and close it is easy to use.
Obviously you can't wear this helmet at anything approaching highway speeds without ear protection, but that's true for ANY helmet, just a hint...they ALL whistle loud enough at speed to damage your hearing.
Truth be told i own some sweet racing helmets but for riding around town I prefer this helmet because of the fit and open feeling. You may have a different experience with the visor if you have tons of wind protection behind a huge fairing with a tall windscreen.

Great style. Odd sizing
I have a small head and my previous helmet was a small so I assumed naturally that I'd be a small with this Bell helmet. I even measured my head just to be safe. When I received the size small it was way too small. Felt more like an extra small. So I sent it back and ordered a medium, which fit perfect and had a little extra room, which I am ok with and wanted anyways. I read other reviews and other people had said the same thing that it runs about a cm small.
The styling is great and I'm very happy with it and so glad it fits! I can't wait to ride with it!

Feels like an open face helmet
I've been wearing a brain bucket helmet for a long time and always wanted to switch to a full face one for safety, but can't stand the pressure on my cheeks and isolation from outside. IMO it kills the fun of riding a motorcycle. The Bullitt gives me the feel of an open helmet but with protection for my face. I wear it without the visor, with sunglasses.
Finishing is beautiful too.

Awesome option for anyone looking for full face protection without sacrificing the feeling of a 3/4 helmet. Visibility is great and it's extremely comfortable. I used the sizing chart and it was pretty spot on.

Killer style, but way to loud for me
I got this helmet because I love the looks, and my wife gave me a Vespa GTS 300 for my 65th birthday. I still love the looks, the visibility, the fit is fine, and I'm sure it's as safe as anything out there. But the wind noise over 30 mph or so drives me nuts. Money isn't really an issue, so I'm moving to the Schuberth C3 pro. To bad, because I've gotten lots of complements on this helmet, but...

What could have been
exceptional fit, style, and features. This could and should have become my favorite helmet. Instead it sits in my closet most of the time. The problem? Wind noise! Lots of it. really does disappoint. Also disappointing was Bells excuse. Their reply when contacted about this issue? Hey its not a racing helmet! That really does suck! I love Bell helmets and have been using for decades. I am kinda shocked at their lack of concern or care about their name and the quality of the product they put out! At 400.00 bucks this helmet should not have wind noise. I hope a competitor makes a helmet very much like the bullit, save for the wind noise. They would have a best seller and my business.
