Decent helmet for the price Been wearing one of these for almost a year now - it's a good helmet but IMO it's quite loud, even with all vents closed, and there's some quality/durability issues that could be addressed. The good: - fits well - I typically wear a large helmet, I bought a large, no complaints. - Vents move enough air to keep from fogging if you're going more than 30 mph, even in actual fog. I commute 25 miles in the Portland area, 20 or so of which are on the highway through the valleys west of town, where it gets VERY foggy sometimes. Never had a problem with the visor fogging, just water condensing on the outside - Visor is easy to swap out - pads and liner are easy to remove for cleaning The bad: - Noisy. I don't have much experience with other motorcycle helmets but I always wear ear plugs in this thing regardless of what speed I'm going to go, and I'm not on a loud bike at all - it's the wind that bothers me. - Visor mounting system is fairly low quality. The visor mounting/ratcheting system is essentially two pieces - one piece that it actually rotates on, and one piece that clips in to a small channel that has grooves in it for the ratcheting action. This smaller piece that does the ratcheting has gotten worn from flipping the visor up and down enough that it doesn't stay in its groove anymore unless I move the visor very deliberately - no more whipping it up and down willy nilly or that piece won't stay in its channel and the visor won't seal until I push that part back into its channel. Easy to do while riding but it is annoying. - The plastic doohickey on the back that forms the point and houses the rear vents is VERY EASY to break. The helmet fell off my foot pegs once and landed directly on that - it cracked in two places. The little tabs that hold it onto the helmet also have worn down a lot (for no apparent reason, I never remove it) and at some point I'm assuming the whole thing will fall off, leaving me with an awkward looking helmet. I'd say it's a quality helmet but the visor ratcheting system and the rear vent cover leave a bit to be desired. For the money, however, it'll last you if you take care of it, and the visor can easily be fixed by replacing it. Not so sure about the rear vent cover. May 7, 2015
Dude. Sweet Light weight, decent airflow, very low profile helmet. Very quiet when your face is level. Agv's site says this is a sport touring helmet and the aerodynamics agrees. When you tuck the rear spoiler/vents work well. Errs slightly round in shape, but fits me very well now that it is broken in. May 4, 2015
Awesome I love this helmet. It's light wight, stylish and comfortable. For the it's not a bad deal at all. Thinking about getting another one my self. May 3, 2015
Saved my life I wrecked in this helmet face first going 60 mph. (was hit by a car) This helmet saved my life. The ECE certification is very similar to the snell cert and is the most common internationally. This standard is used in MotoGP. Not only did this helmet save my life, but it's comfortable, quiet, and light. For the price, I think this helmet is the best in its' class. Highly recommended. Just bought another. March 18, 2015
Great Helmet I've been wearing this helmet for a year and I love it. Fit is great and I love the red arrow graphics. Fit and finish has the look and feel of quality in materials and design. I bought mine in the philly store. The sales staff are all friendly and a pleasure to deal with. February 19, 2015
Could be better Air flow is minimal - only a couple places you can adjust to add or reduce air flow and they dont regulate a large enough flow of air (two above the forehead and one at mouth level but they;re small). Helmet whistles a little once you get to about 35mph matte black helmet scratches very easily so be careful if that's your selection August 12, 2014
Perfect for what I wanted. Exellent Helmet for the price. It looks good, sleek, no real special features. I got this helmet for the noise and weight rating. I am very pleased on both accounts. It is very quiet even with all the vents open and the weight is very light. Great for long rides. The vent setup is pretty good as well. Great helmet for the price. Definitely will go AGV again. August 4, 2014
Great value Great lightweight and stylish helmet. Shape of the cheekpads, enable you to install intercom/speakers without an issue. I love the graphics and the shape of AGV helmets. Highly recommended if their shell fits your head shape. September 15, 2014

Julia T: Hey, I have the normal non matte black helmet. This photo is pretty accurate to how it looks inside when normal light bulbs shine on it. Looks less shiny on a sunny day though. Jan 10, 2014

roger M: i bought one is black gloss. it does shine real nice, got the smoked visor and the combo looks great. only bad thing about this helmet is the ventilation is not the best. Jan 9, 2014

Angus M asked: In the video the helmet has double D ring but AGV lists this helmet as micro metric, what gives? Apr 30, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
James O: I've had mine for I about 2 years, and unless they've changed it since then, it's a double D-ring. Best helmet I've ever owned, by the way. Apr 30, 2014

Agron S: Not sure why its listed like that but it has double d ring. Great helmet. Apr 30, 2014

A S asked: I was wondering if the K4 evo comes with DOT sticker, and also my head size is 62 cm exactly and looking at the helmet size, should i get the XL or XXL, does it fit small or large? Nov 17, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
James L: I believe the helmet is DOT approved. I found the helmet to run pretty true to size. I am typically between a XL and XXL. I had gone with the XL, as I feel it's important for it to be a bit on the tighter side. I hope this helps. Nov 18, 2013
Reply to James Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Ha N: It fits large for me, I usually get XL but I got the L and its a bit snug but fits better than XL Nov 18, 2013
Reply to Ha Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Jon M: I don't believe there was a DOT sticker on the back, just an AGV-K4EVO sticker. A DOT notice is sewn into the lining.
I have a 57 cm head and I'm wearing the medium. I believe you will get the right fit with the XL. It should be a little snug. Revzilla does a good job making sure you get the right helmet if the first doesn't fit.

Jorge B: Yes, it comes with the DOT sticker. XL i think, i have the L size, and fits pretty good, but a bit small i think. Nov 20, 2013

A shopper asked: Is there really enough difference between the k4 evo and the k3 to justify the extra $? I have been rocking a k3 for 2 years and I love it. Aug 7, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Carlos R: I myself own the K4 and my younger sister owns the K3 and both helmets are nearly the same IMO. Both are light, comfortable, have great ventilation and they're not the quietest but also don't find it to be loud or irritating when riding. I've been looking to get a newer helmet myself just to change up the look but I'm probably going for either the newer Shoei RF-1200 or the Bell Star. I say go with what you like but wouldn't really make the jump to a K4 from the K3 maybe get the AGV Corsa lol. Good luck with your new choice of helmet and always ride safe. Aug 7, 2014

Edward C: I own the k4 and my girlfriend has the k3 biggest differences I've noticed is the liner and the k4 front intake vents up into the visor to help with fogging Aug 8, 2014

brian s: You answered your own question when you stated you love your k3. Unless your in the market for a new helmet I would love the one your with. Aug 7, 2014

Routh S asked: weight ??? Jul 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael D: Can't give you the exact wt, I'm out of town, but it weighs less than the Suomy or HJC i have. I love my helmet! Have had it a couple years and it's held up well. Jul 11, 2014

jerry h: Not sure about exact weight, but feels very light compared to shoei rf 1000 it replaced. Be advised it seems to run small at least for me. Jul 10, 2014

A shopper asked: Is there a bluetooth intercom available for this helmet? Mar 13, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Steve Y: I installed the Sena SMH-10 (universal) communicator and it works perfectly. Might take some trial and error to get the speakers in a comfortable position. There are no cut outs for the speakers. But the cheek pads are thick enough that you won't feel the speakers. Hope this helps. May 6, 2015

A shopper asked: I have a fairly round head and find the S4 fits me perfectly. How does the K4 fit, compared to the S4. Are they similar in shape? Dec 1, 2011
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
mondrian8: Don't know about the S4 but the K4 is an intermediate oval - from above, egg shaped with the small area forward - my head shape. The K4 fits me with no pressure spots. Feb 15, 2013
