The K-3 is near the top end of the AGV entry level range. GP-tech lines and Valentino Rossi replica helmet graphics make this the ideal helmet for young riders and fans of the racing world. The only full-face thermoplastic model in the agv range, the K-3 is the perfect choice for riders in search of a safe, high-quality helmet with attractive design at a modest price.The K-3 design is inspired by the latest AGV developments starting from the Stealth, S-4, and Ti-Tech and continuing with the Blade/Blade LX and GP-Tech that have so clearly and distinctive defined the company’s style. This makes the helmets immediately recognizable and distinguished from all the other proposals on the market. In the same way, the differences with the helmet that the K-3 has replaced are equally evident. 

  • Fabrics: Dry-Lex with hygienic treatment
  • Inside padding: Removable and washable (excluding neckroll)
  • Number of shells: 1 shell size
  • Retention System: Double-D ring
  • Shell: Painted HIR-TH (high resistant thermoplastic) resin
  • Shield Mechanism: Perimetrical visor seal, XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) - shield replacement without tools in few seconds

Awesome first helmet.Amazing value. Being my first helmet I cannot say too much about certain things like durability, protection or weight. But as far as I've used it, I can say that I'm very happy with this helmet the finish is stunning , it screams quality, and god is a beauty. It inspires me to wear it all the time. It's very comfortable and the vision is great. To me is a bit heavy but this is my first helmet so I guess is just right. The graphics are just head blowing everybody give me compliments. Definetly a great purchase and the Revzilla service is amazing 5 days from Revzilla to South Mexico, great. May 14, 2013
Very tight at first This helmet is my first helmet purchase but I had worn a KBC full face helmet for a few weeks prior. First of all, it looks amazing in person! I have a very average size and shaped head. I am 5'10 160lbs. The K3 fit almost painfully tight around my cheeks the first few times but after 500 miles or so it has broken in a bit and is perfect now. The mesh chin piece did come un-glued eventually but was an easy fix. I would purchase this helmet again. May 14, 2013
AGV Dreamtime Bought this helmet as my first full faced helmet, you can't go wrong within AGV k3 for the price. The helmet did fit a little bit tight at first but after a few uses it fits great. The styling is amazing the color just pop nice and bright. Get complements everywhere you go & helps to been seen on the road. Feels durable and quality material. I did have the visor come up a bit while doing a head check but not a big problem. Overall very satisfied. April 24, 2013
Nothing Special Helmet looks great, fit is a little tight but seems to be getting better as I wear it more. My only other helmet was a Seven Zero Seven brand so in comparison, this is lighter, quieter and flows air a little better. I went for the tinted visor which I like, but when turning my head to the right at highway speeds, the visor lifts about an inch, which is a little annoying. April 9, 2013
a proud purchase As always, Revzilla shipped quickly and I was delighted to tear into the box. The Dreamtime design looks killer in the thumbnail photos, but looks even more stunning once you get it in your hands. I love the high visibility of this design as it definitely catches the attention of drivers and cyclists alike. This is my first full face helmet so it took a little adjustment to get used to the way it fogs when fully covered; I prefer to leave it just it a tiny bit cracked and luckily the visor can lock into a slightly open placement. I used the sizing guide before ordering so luckily it's a perfect fit, (originally I assumed I'd need a Medium, the sizing guide helped me realize I'm a true Large.) Completely happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to others. March 25, 2013
First AGV Normally use my aria helmet, I decided to get this AGV as a novelty for it's paint. It's a really nice well fitting helmet and it's lighter than my other RX-Q, but not snell cert. I'm not switching brands but it's a really nice addition and great bang for the buck. Very happy with it and get compliments on it everywhere I go. February 25, 2013

Great looking helmet, thats why i bought it, road noise reduced compared to previous joe rocket helmet I recently got this helmet cause i had an accident with my joe rocket helmet, first glance its an eye catching art design, fit a little tighter but it wasnt overbearing, the road noise i noticed a drastic decrease compared to riding with my joe rocket, the pads cup your ears inside the helmet. only complaint i have is theres no anti fog visor. And the obvious pointer in the revzilla review about the chin guard falling out, but for some reason i stopped having that issue all together it stays put now. November 13, 2012

if i buy this helmet, will i still be as protected from a crash as a more expensive helmet? or is does it protect less because it's cheaper or just for show? i want to make sure that i am buying a helmet for the safety of it and not just the good looks.

Answer: 
It is dot approved, so it is perfectly safe on the street. You wouldn't be allowed to use it on the track (virtually all tracks require Snell, where this is only dot rated) but it's not like this helmet is a novelty item.
The shields are on sale by revzilla, check the sidebar on the product description.
