AGV K3 5-Continents Rossi Helmet

The K-3 is near the top end of the AGV entry level range. GP-Tech lines and Valentino Rossi replica helmet graphics make this the ideal helmet for young riders and fans of the racing world. The only full-face thermoplastic model in the agv range, the K-3 is the perfect choice for riders in search of a safe, high-quality helmet with attractive design at a modest price. The K-3 design is inspired by the latest AGV developments starting from the Stealth, S-4, and Ti-Tech and continuing with the Blade/Blade LX and GP-Tech that have so clearly and distinctive defined the company’s style. This makes the helmets immediately recognizable and distinguished from all the other proposals on the market. In the same way, the differences with the helmet that the K-3 has replaced are equally evident.

Good protection and style After choosing a helmet for almost 4 months I came to the conclusion of this being the best bang for the buck purchase. As an Automotive Mechanical Engineer, I was looking towards a helmet that not only looked cool or had nice features, but one that was truly protective. My goal was to find a cheaper helmet with either a Snell approval sign or a 4 or above rated star on the Sharp United Kingdom org. This helmet has a 4 star sharp level of protection with good cost, fitment and looks. It`s reasonably light too. On this helmet you are trading nice features such as inside sunglasses for protection and sportiness. I have only two complaints in relation to this helmet: The chin guard is really lose, so one day I was wearing the helmet and it felt, desappearing from my sight. The upper ventilation of the helmet doesn`t work as well as I expected. It works, but could be better. Even then, I probably would go for this model when looking at the price range. July 27, 2015
Good Looks and Performance I am a fan of AGV. I purchased the Comic because of its style. This was the best fitting helmet for me. I measure a L but a XXL fit. The air flow is great. The field of vision very good, no noticeable blind spots. I like the flip down sun visor inside very much. The weight of the helmet is reasonable, not heavy. The graphics of the Comic are way out there, but I like the flash. Since I changed from an AMF shovelhead to a Suzuki a different helmet was needed. This fit the bill. A great looking helmet that people will not forget and may even annoy some. Good looks and performance. August 27, 2015
Great improvement over the regular K3 Im extremely impressed with this helmet! I have the AGV K3 5 Continents (Rossi graphics) helmet and found it had a few drawbacks so I took a chance a tried out this K3 SV version. It basically fixes all the gripes I have with the regular K3. 1. Has plenty of room for your ears plus cut outs for Bluetooth communication speakers. The old K3 squished my ears pretty tightly and good luck finding any room to mount speakers comfortably. I run a Sena SMH-10 Bluetooth headset and it fits perfectly. Nice room for the boom mic and the speakers fit perfectly in the K3 SV cutouts. Seriously took me less than 5 minutes to install and test. 2. The flip down sun visor is a cool and functional addition although there is some slight distortion. 3. The windshield feels more solidly built and smoother to raise and lower. 4. Never really had an issue with the vents and cooling of the regular K3 but this SV version seems to be more effective. Haven't put a ton of miles on this helmet yet so it could just be Im riding on cooler days. Also slightly quieter. 5. Padding feels more comfortable for every day use. The regular K3 almost feels like a race helmet in comparison. Overall, this is a fantastic bang-for-the-buck helmet with a bunch of nice features. It really is a whole new helmet compared to the regular K3. Almost confused as to why they even use K3 in the name. August 26, 2015
Best Helmet I have owned This is an amazing helmet. All the features are as advertised. Ventilation is great, the sun visor works well. It is lighter than my modular HJC helmet for sure. Much better all around; in fact there is no comparison. I wear glasses and I do have to put on the helmet first, then my glasses. No problem. I would recommend this helmet to any rider. I ride a 2007 Harley CVO Springer Softail. August 21, 2015
cool and quiet i like the A G V much queter than my old H J C good air flow and the sheid works more positive it stays in place at speed. July 6, 2015
Great look, open air flow, nice features, good everyday. This is my second helmet after being bike only for 3 years now. My first helmet was $50 more then this one. In comparison they fit rather differently. This one is easy to take on and off, my first felt squished taking on and off. Even though this one goes on and off easier it feels snugger on my face in cheeks but in a comfortable way. There is cut out where your ears go and that provides a lot of comfort as i often ride with headphones. There is also wind that goes between my ears which is a plus since i live in Florida and it is always hot. The front has a tab that vents the sheild slightly which provides more airflow but also works great as a defogger. Chemical coats wear off eventually so its nice there is a second system to defogg. I wish it had Pin Lock but this is a nice touch. It bobbles very little at high speeds but with all the airflow it is louder but i expect that and do not mind. The internal sun visors are decent. I have seen complaints about them not being dark enough but if you get the iridium ones it works fine. Wont block all the sun but what will. They have nice coverage and easy to access. The look is sharp and has nice cuts to helpit with comfort as well around the neck. The inner linning stays dry and is very soft. Over all i am thrilled with this helmet. I ride everyday rain or shine, light or dark. It is very versitile for my bike only needs. August 18, 2015
Really good looking helmet! I have to say it is noisy compared to the Scorpion helmet I previously had but no big deal. Other than that this helmet has it all. Comfortable, good air flow, doesn't fog up and it looks pretty awesome; simple yet very attractive to the eye! August 10, 2015
I finally look cool. Picked this up with an iridescent blue visor. It took a while to break in; initially it was quite tight around the crown. But now that it's finally broken in it's great. Decent weight, good peripheral vision, good ventilation, and easy to clean [which is an every-day job, yay denim!]. The only real complaint is noise, but that's easily fixed with plugs. Even so, I'm not all that fussed to hear what's going on around me. The padding inside- which is now covered in my rubbed-off makeup- is comfortable, too. Aesthetics-wise, it's a sexy helmet. Aggressive beak design with enough sass to make it appeal to anyone. Definitely recommend. August 3, 2015

Steven C: I originally wanted an Ayrton Senna helmet, but Im equally pleased with the greatness of this guy too... The graphic design is amazing, I get compliments from everyone. And a story explaining the background of the helmet. Its definitely a conversation starter.
As for the helmet, it holds up pretty good at high speeds. Never feeling like it is trying to rip itself off of my head. My only complaint is the that I wish the liner was made from a more comfortable material. Nylon or something.

Carla Michelle L: As far as I know just DOT. Jan 18, 2014
Albert N: After doing some research, I found that this helmet is DOT rated, but NOT ECE 22.05. The Revzilla video "AGV K3 Helmet Review" also makes note that it is DOT rated, making no mention of ECE. That was definitely a factor in my decision while helmet shopping. Didn't buy it for that reason. Jan 30, 2014

Ivy M asked: I love the graphics on this helmet but I'm concerned that it uses only one shell size. If I have a size XS or S head, am I going to look like an orange on a toothpick in this helmet? Jun 5, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
kendrick c: Haha that could be the case, but to me, the graphics would make up for that. I'm a medium and I'm avarage build myself, and it looks just fine. But on girls it will be more dependant on body size then head size, as the shell size will stay the same and it woudnt matter if your a XS or a S. But to answer your question clearly, if your too skinny you could look like a orange on a toothpick. :)

Hope that helped you a bit.

Gonzalo G: Haha no you won't look like an orange on a toothpick. The photo here doesn't give it justice. It's an amazing rossi helmet replica and all the colors are so vibrant but none of them overwhelm each other. This is a fantastic helmet especially for the price. I actually was wearing this helmet about 2 months ago now when I flipped my bike. Kept my head safe. And walked away with just a broken elbow. Butto keep it asimple no you won't look like an orange on a toothpick. Jun 5, 2014

Gonzalo G: No just dot/snell if I'm not mistaken. I wrecked and destroyed the helmet but my head is safe but near less to say I don't have it anymore. But it was a phenomenal helmet. I loved it. And it is a definite crowd pleaser very eye catching Oct 31, 2014
