AGV GP-Tech 5 Continents Helmet
Un casco impresionante para la ruta
Compre este casco de AGV después de ver leer muchas críticas positivas. Sinceramente el caso es impresionante, muy cómodo, increíblemente liviano y una estética hermosa.

Great airflow and stunning looks, no shield lock and sizing could be an issue.
I got this helmet on closeout from revzilla and it is amazing! First thing when you pull it out of the box is the helmet cover and it is of high quality! Very soft and easily the best helmet cover I have ever seen. Then when I took it off the helmet I must say I was blown away. I knew this helmet looked amazing on the site, but in person it is even better! I have had this helmet for almost a month now and I still stare and smile at it. It really is just an amazing looking helmet.
Now for the functionality there are more pros than cons, but ill try and cover them all.
Pros: TREMENDOUS airflow. I also have a Bell rs-1 steam punk helmet and I thought it flowed a ton of air, but this AGV blows it out of the water! Even with all my vents closed it flows more air than my bell with the vents open. On a hot day the air is greatly appreciated.
Good field of vision. I wouldn't say this has the highest field of vision, but it's no slouch either. I'd say its on par with my Bell.
On this site's video review it says this is a 3/4 to full tuck helmet. I ride the streets and haven't noticed an issue with buffeting even at highway speeds. Haven't had the chance to do a track day yet, but I can tell it will perform excellent on the track.
Comfort is good. I'd say its on par or marginally less comfortable than my Bell rs-1. The AGV is lighter than my Bell, but has a rougher fabric inside for the lining. Not a con, but just not as soft feeling as my Bell. That being said its barely noticeable.
Cons: The anti-fog shield is nowhere close to anti-fog as I had hoped. On cold morning rides the fogging is pretty bad. Although this is a con there are sprays to mitigate this and it is also a more track day oriented helmet when temps are in the warm to hot degrees.
No shield locking system. This isn't really an issue in normal riding but it would be nice to have the little defog detent like my Bell rs-1 has. The detents are strong and I have had no issue with it rising up as I come out of a tuck.
Sizing is small. I got this on closeout and the only size they had were 2-3xl sizes. On the size chart it said 2x would be an inch bigger than my Bell rs-1. I thought it would be an issue but it is not! I'm really glad I got it in 2x because my helmets fit basically the same. I would suggest getting a size up from the helmet you currently have!
Overall this helmet is amazing! The cons aren't too bad to me but to you might be. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone!

I almost didn't buy this because I was unimpressed with the photos, but I have the AX-8 5 continents for dirt duty and knowing how good that looks in person along with the reviews saying the pics don't do this lid justice, I pulled the trigger on this, and I'm glad I did. This lid is a work of art, but note that vs. the pics it's WAY more colorful, the graphics more crisp, and the colours are extremely bright. The helmet flows much more air than I expected and is very much at home on the street. I ride with it in the daytime in the tropics and still stay cool. The fit is slightly small, but it's a full-on race helmet so that's expected, and it's comfortable now after a few rides. It's definitely lighter and way more aerodynamic than the HJC I rode with before. Head checks, which were somewhat difficult at speed are now effortless with the GP Tech. Some online reviews criticized the narrow field of vision but so far I find visibility is good, even in a full tuck, so... I don't know. I just know I love mine and I'm now accepting 'Winter Test' donations.

One of the best I have ever owned!
I love the craftsmanship of the helmet and the quality is second to none. This helmet has all the details, from paint to materials, the AGV is top tier. Even the helmet bag is well thought out and executed. I do think that the air flow is excellent but at the cost of wind noise. I use this helmet exclusively at the track so speeds are on the high side compared to street speed limits +20 mph. The outside noise from my L-twin Ducati's engine with Termi full system is isolated very well, the Akra system from my BMW s1000rr is also muted at 10,000+ RPM. All in all - I recommend this product. A+++

Excellent Helmet! Fit is more oval than past Ti-Tech helmets that I have owned. I have a more intermediate oval head; the previous Ti-Tech would have some pressure point issues on my forehead when I rode with it. The GP-Tech is much more advanced in shape and fit. I really love this helmet!

AGV did an awesome job very nice helmet.
Cheek pads are a bit tight but the helmet fits very nice. Cheek pads say xxs, helmet is a small?. I have to buy the medium cheek pads now, they will be more comfortable I think. The cheek pads now squish my cheeks a little.
Once I buy a blue visor, cheek pad's, and custom fee's to Canada; this helmet will jump up in price for me. RevZilla's price is very good though Best deal around.
The shipping was fast, (even with me having to wait full weekend time because they don't work weekends); the helmet was here in 4 days I believe . The helmet was packaged very good and was very professional, (nice box, cool zilla stickers, and the AGV was pretty much straight from AGV). Tracking was exact too.
I will be buying more from here probably. Even with the duty and shipping costs to Canada.
I am very satisfied though, great company it seems like A+
Next is a suit :P

Comfortable but lots of wind noise
The quality of the helmet is very good. Unfortunately it is very loud. I have an older Rossi replica and although it is heavier it is much quieter than this helmet. Although the wind noise is much louder the helmet seems to be more aerodynamic as there is much less buffeting.
