AGV AX-8 EVO Naked Carbon Helmet
looks great, does the job
not a bad helmet at all.. looks awesome, especially with the black visor. my biggest gripe with it is the fact it does not come with a quick release. i'd like to be able to switch between clear and dark visors quickly and without having to use tools.
another thing that's slightly annoying is when you have the visor flipped up, the lower edges of the visor are in your field of view. otherwise, this is a great helmet, fits my abnormally large head pretty perfectly (my head is round and long front to back). airflow is really good, almost too good (i've used this really only during the colder weather, it was too cold!) but should be perfect for summer time riding. my other helmet is a rf1200 which i think is overall better but for style points i use this one.

The perfect helmet
This is an amazing helmet, it’s extremely light and comfortable. The ventilation system is really good and has an amazing style. The only thing I don’t like are the straps, otherwise it’s the best helmet I’ve had.

Very Solid Helmet
Out of the gate...this is by far the lightest helmet I own. 3.19lbs is really light for a helmet at this price. I read another review that stated the carbon is not neccessary because it doen't save any weight...well the matte black version comes in at over 3.3lbs. While that's not an alarming reduction...it is in fact lighter, plus in my opinion, it looks so much better than the matte, but that's a personal preference. Now I can't attest to the protection and have no plans on testing in that area. The fit is exceptional and the vision is extreme compared to my other helmets. The only gripe I have is the helmet doesn't come with cut outs for bluetooth speakers but Sena does sale low profile speakers, which I also bought and they don't intrude on the comfort at all. The airflow is very good and the noise level is tolerable for me...the two does go hand in hand especially at speed and the fact this helmet doesn't have the peak, makes it useful on the highway. I'm not riding down the interstate looking like a bobble head riding a bike...lol. Overall I am completely satisfied with the purchase. Make no mistake, there ARE better helmets on the market, but for the price point, this one is hard to beat! Ride Safe!!!

This is a very light helmet with all the features I was looking for.
The only thing I can say bad about it is the chin protector could use a little more of a positive mounting system, but I don't use it anyways. I'm use to MX helmets anyways and I always say if you want chin protection man up and grow a beard.

Lightweight, and exceptional visibility
My previous helmet had a sun visor, cheek air-bladders, and quick removable shield. I was worried because this one has none of those things, but I've come to find out they're thongs I don't need.
I love the visibility this helmet has. Coupled with the light weight makes wearing it feel almost like going without a helmet. This is what happens when you sacrifice those "features" above. It's just a quality, focused helmet that does exactly what it's supposed to do extremely well.
The carbon fiber version I got is probably not necessary because it doesn't save much weight, but I must say I really like it anyway. It's just cool.
And finally, I never knew what "good ventilation" actually meant before I got this helmet. Opening and closing vents ACTUALLY makes a noticeable difference. And I'm no longer flipping up my face shield at every stoplight.

The AGV AX-8 EVO Naked Carbon Helmet is very, very light, very comfortable, and it looks aggressive: what's not to like?

This helmet just makes me happy, simply put. The airflow while moving is exceptional. The special moisture wicking fabric and padding used versus the average helmet is really nice. The vision is gold. And the fact that the face shield comes with anti-fog is awesome too. Not to mention how simply awesome this helmet looks! (You definitely need to buy the smoke face shield to go with it though.)
It does have a bit of noise, but nothing bad in my opinion, and it is a bit narrow, but that also fits me perfectly. The only real reason not to buy this helmet (other than you not liking the style. In which case I'm not sure why you're reading reviews on it) is the price. In all fairness though, anything over your $150 HJC helmet is for comfort, quality, features, and looks anyway. The helmet purely for protection train left a long while ago, but I promise you that you will like this one a lot better anyway.
You might be able to find a better helmet for this price with better features, as some have suggested, but you definitely won't be disappointed with this helmet at all. I 100% recommend it, unless what it offers just isn't the helmet for you.

Light and Airy
This helmet looks great, and is super light.
The fit is a little snug on the ears and you may need to reach in to push them back straight after you put it on. It was also a little difficult to get my Sena to fit, since there are no pockets for speakers like my AGV horizon.
It vents a lot of air and even more with the mesh face piece installed, but the helmet tends to be loud on the highway.
The rear pad also tends to dislodge from its snaps if I try to wear a Balaclava or skull cap, due to the way it snaps in
