This is a mean balaclava, Windproof and waterproof. I got a new helmet with a very effective chin curtain though, so i'll more likely use this for the snowblower than the bike.

this product is perfect for what i needed. i ride all winter (40 degrees and below) so after the first time i wore it i could only ask myself why it took me so long to buy it. air flow is ok, but i needed warmth so that isn't so important. some light rain use and i stayed dry. it will fog up sunglasses at the stop lights, i imagine they all do. my head is right at the top of medium and bottom of large sizes so a large helmet when i use this is perfect and snug. i highly recommend this product.

I rode my cruiser from Myrtle Beach SC to Augusta GA in this chilly January wether. The temperature dropped into the 30's and luckily the Arctiva Windbloc Balaclava kept me warm and comfortable even in my half helmet. Now that i know this product does as advertised i feel the need to let everyone know that it is well worth the money. I have a full faced helmet but haven't bothered using it with my cruiser....if the temps get any colder i will.....i have no doubt that the Arctiva Windbloc Balaclava will work even better in a full faced helmet. Note: you can expect to have some fogging occur on your glasses/face shield until you are moving on the bike, but it was well worth it for me....

I have a pretty big head, so I got the L/XL. It fits quite well, but the nose section is not as shaped enough for maximal comfort in that regard -- it's flat, so it compresses your nose. When i put on my helmet over it, however, the helmet pulled the nose section down over my mouth -- problem solved, I guess? It's actually quite comfortable this way, and I don't really need my nostrils covered anyhow. Now I can breath well, and my Shoei helmet has an attachable nose piece breath guard anyhow. So in the end, maybe I would be better off with one without a nose piece to begin with, but I don't want to pay to ship this one back when it does the job just as well anyway.
It adds some warmth and the stitches are all flat seamed and comfortable. I could ride a long time with this on. It does make my helmet noticeably tighter feeling, but it's OK.
The ideal solution would be to move somewhere that doesn't get cold, but until then, this will help a lot.
