Zan's Coolmax Helmet Liner
seam across forehead caused pain/discomfort
I bought this helmet liner because of its seam placement. Other liners and balaclavas often have a front-to-back seam that can cause discomfort. The seam across the forehead on the Zan's product, however, was reviewed by other customers as leaving a mark but not being uncomfortable.
Unfortunately on my head (I wear a size large helmet), the seam was uncomfortable the second I put on my helmet and downright painful after about half an hour. Extended wear did not make the pain disappear, and I had some ear discomfort as well. This was with a new, somewhat tight-fitting helmet. I tried the helmet liner with my older, broken-in, larger (size XL) helmet and had the same problem, although with the larger helmet the pain is somewhat less.
The seam on this product just presses on the wrong place on my forehead, perhaps. Your results may vary, and other customers do seem happy with their purchases of the same product.

Threw it out
Leaves an imprint of the seam on your forehead that takes two hours to go away. You'll look like a lunch lady on break.

Good seam placement
I have been using these for a couple years. I have yet to find one I like better--not that it is perfect.
Most of these type covers have seams that really create pressure points on my forehead as the seams run front to back. These seams don't run all the way to the front therefore they don't create a hot spot at the tightest part of the helmet. This is a real plus and the main selling point for me.
On the down side it he elastic band that runs around the edge creates a very noticeable line across the forehead. It is not uncomfortable when wearing but looks a bit funny for the first 10-15 min after you take it off I when you get where you are going.
It is easy to wash and they do last a pretty long time. It certainly helps keep the inside of your lid cleaner.

Not as pictured
I was hoping this to fit snug on my head and cover my ears but it does neither. It also pops off anytime I take my helmet off. I have a large head too. I can't speak to it's cooling abilities because it's still pretty cold out. Guess I'll keep looking.

Keeps head cool and helmet clean.
I bought this helmet liner to help keep cool while riding in the high temperatures of Texas summer. After first few rides (in +100F/37C) temperatures the product has met my expectations. The only reason it is not a 5 star rating is because the stitching around the exterior where the fabric is hemmed is a little too "fat". If you don't position the liner just right on your head you can have a crease on your forehead (cosmetic) after a short ride or worse, the hem crosses middle of your ear causing discomfort.

Great product but wish it came in sizes
I ordered this helmet liner along with a new helmet to keep sweat out of my eyes, help keep my helmet padding clean and my hair out of my line of sight. Its well constructed and the shape is nice how it comes down over your ears. I have a smallish head (7 1/4 hat size) and I find it a bit loose. My only critique would be to sell in a few sizes however it fits and works so thats a small gripe.

Generally does the job
I use liners for two reasons: 1) Keep the interior of my helmet clean and; 2) cover my ears so that earplugs are not dislodged when putting the helmet on and off. This product performs the first function well but is only just adequate for the second function since the ear "flaps" are a bit loose.
That said, I still recommend this product.
