31MM Cheek pads
I have chubby cheeks I suppose, and the 35mm stock cheek pads were just a tad too tight to be comfortable. I replaced them with the 31mm, and the fit is now perfect. Helmet is still secure, and appropriately tight, with out being uncomfortable. The product worked perfect, Revzilla's shipping was sick fast. I am west coast, but even with that advantage I was surprised when I placed the order at 10am Monday, and the pads arrived before 10am on Tuesday.

My only complaint is the Shoei pricing. The helmets are expensive, and then pad replacements are expensive. I feel like Shoei should offer custom size requests when the helmet order is placed for the price we are paying for the helmets.

Too late for the free exchange.
I wish I would have known about SHOEI's free exchange for the cheek pads option.

They work great, exact fitment, quality plush padding. Washable, anti microbial. Very happy.

Cheekpads at 3x normal cost!
The Shoei GT Air helmet is awesome, unfortunately it comes with cheek pads made for skeletons and severely anemic riders. These thinner cheek pads make the helmet fit much better, and make removing and putting the helmet on much easier, especially since now you don't need vaseline and a shoehorn to do it. I'd recommend these to anyone, anyone who is willing to spend the outrageous amount on just cheek pads that is.

You're gonna need them
Buy these if you fit in a medium helmet, but that tight neck roll and super-thick pads are smashing your face. I think these should be offered as a swap at the time of purchase since we're spending a lot on this helmet. I'm happy I bought them. They're a little more comfortable than the stock medium pads, which are the 35mm ones as opposed to these 31mm ones.

Just get them.

A few mils makes a difference.
Your helmet needs to be snug but it doesn't need to cause discomfort. These thinner cheek pads offered me relief from the thicker stock pads for all day comfort.

Great for getting the fit just right
My new helmet was really tight and I thought it would improve with use, no, it was too tight. Fortunately Shoei sells the cheekpads separately and now my helmet is my favorite. However I would like them to be cheaper, included with the helmet on purchase or to have the option to select cheekpads when buying the helmet.

Should not incude any cheek pads so you can buy what you need.
I don;t thik these are small enogh. They should also not include any cheek pads in the helmet. After spending $600 I should not have to spend $50 more to make it fit and then have an extra set of worthless cheek pads afterwords. This is NOT Revzillas fault, so don't get me wrong, I think Shoei should chane how they sell these combos.

Same as what comes with helmet- just smaller
Exact replacement of the larger cheek pads that come with the GT air. The helmet should have come with this size already, or allow you trade them in at minimal cost. Very pricey for what you get.

Great replacement cheek pads
I have big cheeks and needed thinner cheek pads for my Shoei GT Air. I bought these in their slimmest size and it's just what the doctor ordered. The only downside is that Revzilla cannot swap cheek pads for free like my local bike shop is willing to do. Oh well. Comfort is worth the extra money. For what it's worth, I did use my zillacash from the helmet purchase to take most of the pain out of buying these.

OEM replacement . perfect fit

I'm in between a L and an XL on Shoei helmets, so I picked these thicker cheek pads to bring the interior size down a bit on my XL helmet.

My Helmet cheekpads are bigger XL (35mm) I moved to a different size 31 mm and now is the fit is excellent.
guillermo l on Nov 9, 2015
needed a little extra room in my helmet and these did the job just right
david p on Nov 7, 2015
The GT Air is known to be a very snug fit. The 31mm pads give me an option to comfort fit if the helmet is just too tight.

Michael B on Sep 16, 2015
Because I try the SM GT Air but it was to small, MD size it was a little bit loose so I am buying the cheek pad and center pad if fits me better
Cheol Ho H on Sep 9, 2015
Needed to make my helmet just a little bit more loose.

Because Shoei sells this helmet with way too thick a cheek pad and it appears everyone is getting tooth aches and headaches from it (I know I am)

I need an XL helmet, but XXL cheek pads. Otherwise I look like a chipmunk.
Lunchbox601 on Oct 20, 2014
I purchased the GT Air (Large). Used the measure tool on this site. My noggin measured 59-60CM size (exactly like my older AFX). I was warned by some that have purchased Shoei in other models that the helmet will seem like your head is in a vice at first, but will settle in with time. I got the helmet yesterday and my experience was no different. I had to pull off the chin curtain to get it on. The standard 35 MM size was too much. I hope the 31 MM size will improve the break in experience.
Glenn H on Aug 14, 2014
Purchased a large GT-Air and though the helmet is the right size for my head the cheekpads are too tight and squash my face. Other user comments suggested that replacing the cheekpads with thinner ones would lead to a more comfortable fit.
John T on Aug 2, 2014
To make my helmet fit better, duh!
Paula R on Jul 28, 2014

"Because the current one size is change (L) and now my helmet like XL..This reason i bought these stuff."
Caner B on Jun 30, 2014
cheek pads that came with the helmet were just too small, these did the trick and the helmet fits perfectly now
Jonathan L on May 11, 2014
my new gt air helmet is a little too tight-- I am between sizes. the crown of the helmet is a good snug fit, but the cheeks are tight and this makes it pretty tough to put on and take off the helmet.
johnniecafe on May 6, 2014
I have fat cheeks
Jason on May 3, 2014
I have extremely wide check bones. I tried a couple rides with my size medium SHOEI GT-AIR helmet and the stock 35mm cheek pads are very uncomfortable. The SHOEI rep at the international motorcycle show warned me I may need these. Should have just bought them outright. Oh well. Thank you RevZilla for being who you are and as honest as possible. Love the video reviews, keep up the good work!
Brian R on Mar 20, 2014

Jim M on Mar 8, 2014

Scott R on Feb 7, 2014
To have a spare set
Rob M on Oct 29, 2013
I tried this helmet on and considering the feedback from other users, I opted to order this item in case this product would improve my fit with this helmet, which during trial seemed to really squeeze my cheeks rather stiffly inward. Revzilla allows for a great return program so no harm in having the option. Was hesitant as the price for an accessory was way out of line considering the actual cost of the helmet.
Silvio M on Oct 18, 2013
I was in between the medium and large size, the cheek pads just put a bit too much pressure on my face, these replacements worked great!
Vincent L on Aug 26, 2013
Love my new Shoei GT Air, just is a bit to snug around the cheek pads. I'm hoping this will solve my problem.
Adolfo V on Aug 25, 2013

Claudio113 on Jul 5, 2016
My Gt Air seems loud like air coming in from neck. If I got thicker cheek pads would this help close gap. If I look up no noise at all. Riding, looking straight wind noise from bottom. Might be gap in rear of helmet? Any help out there?
A shopper on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have the same problem with My GT Air and my RF1200 .. Haven't found a solution yet . Changed the interior to smaller size in rf1200 but no change . Now looking at other helmet Brands.
The online photos on this cheek pad DO NOT show the red emergency cheek pad release feature on the standard pad for the GT-Air. Do these pads from revzilla come with red cheek pad release? Thank you.
A C on Feb 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the replacement pads have the red emergency release. Other than the thickness these are identical to the pads that come with the helmet
I have the Shoei GT AIR. The stock cheek pads are too tight. I'm not sure on which size to select. I read some reviews and It seems that the 31mm 2XL size is the way to go. Please help. I am having trouble understanding the size chart....31mm 2XL means a smaller cheek pad?
ROD N on Mar 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I went with the 31mm which means a smaller cheek pad, it's the thickness if the pad that is measure.
I tried on the GT Air XL helmet and felt that the cheek pads were tight enough to make me into a fish face. The 2XL is on the bigger size and does not fit as snug. I'm assuming from reading a lot of replies here that even if I buy the XL, the 31mm cheek pads labeled "2XL" will still fit in the XL but give less pressure on my cheeks?
Tebpac on Mar 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I had the same problem with my helmet. My GT air in Medium the cheek pads were way to tight. Tried the Large GT Air and the helmet was to loose. Almost went with a totally different helmet. Instead i purchased the 31mm cheek pads. Best thing i ever bought. The GT air in Medium with 31mm cheek pads fits perfect. I love my helmet.
Looking at the various cheek pad sizes, it seems based on the OEM sizing that this helmet has 4 shell sizes and not 3 - what gives? It looks like XS-S, M, L, and XL-2XL share shell sizes. Am I wrong? I tried a helmet from a friend which is Medium. It was a tad loose. He wore it for 700 miles and I am considering buying his helmet and changing the cheek pads. Thanks for the advise!
dankatz on Nov 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I purchased a new Shoei GT-Air and found it too tight. Ordered the cheek pads for the looser fit and it worked out great for me.

Hi, it's possible in GT-Air L, change interrior in size M?

I have 35mm cheek pads , what size should I get for a tighter fit ?
