Tour Master Epic Jacket - Hi Viz 4.7 5 54 54
GREAT jacket! Fantastic jacket for the price. I bought this as my first touring jacket and will hopefully have it for years to come. I bought the hi-viz color, and let me tell you - you'll definitely never go missed by motorist again. It may not be the sexiest, contour-hugging jacket you'll come across, but that wasn't what I was expecting from a 3/4 length touring jacket. So far after a few weeks it has withstood normal abuse and doesn't seem like it is showing signs of any weakness. The armor is well placed and sturdy. The venting system is amazing, I've riden this in cool weather as well as steamy-hot days and it's worked great. The zippers can get stuck sometimes which is a pain, but with a little working they're good again. I'll probably just lube them with some graphite. I live in the mountains of WNC and the weather can change from cold & wet in the morning, to hot in the afternoon with rain showers in between. This jacket has tackled it all very well and I believe it will continue to do so. I run a size medium in 99% of everything I own and wear, and this was no exception. Medium fit right on the dot and I still have room to put a couple thin layers. If I planned on putting heavy layers underneath it'd probably be a bit tight, but I don't really think I'll need to unless it's blisteringly cold. May 14, 2013
Excellent jacket, excellent price Tourmaster epic jacket in hiviz is a no-brainer purchase if you are looking for a feature laden jacket at a very reasonable price. Watch the video and tell me this jacket does not meet the definition of 'bang for the buck'. Five Stars all day long. Looking forward to many dry and safe rides with the Tourmaster Epic hi viz jacket. As always Revzilla delivers on their promise of customer service and also honored a price match on this jacket. Buy with confidence. Revzilla is my motorcycle gear store. April 15, 2013
Warm and Visible I comute to work year round and bought this jacket for the colder months. I have ridden in temps d at 24F with a t shirt and fleece pullover with no problems. With the vents all zipped there is minor air infiltration around the chest. as for water intrusion I have only been in light rain with no problems. The high vis is what I really like. This thing almost glows. The picture on the web site does not do it justice. I have had numerous comments from motorists at stop lights on the visibility of the coat. (day and night). The sizing is correct but I purchased one size bigger so I can layer in really cold stuff. As mentioned the forearms are a little tight. Also the forearm zippers are continually getting stuck in the liner fabric. To prevent this I place my thumb behind the zipper when zipping. For the price this is a good deal. I will buy another unless the durability long term is lacking. December 7, 2012
Great winter jacket. Bought this jacket for riding this winter in So Cal, this jacket is meant to be wear with a thin warmer underneath and that's it, it's super warm. I like snug clothing, I'm 5'11", wear usually a 40-2 M, and shirts 15 1/2, 34-35. and order a M, fit perfectly, and I used a back protector and a couple of layers underneath. Don't know how it will perform in sumer, but it has tons of vents. This is a great 3-4 season jacket, at a great price. November 29, 2012
great for cold weather I bought this jacket for riding in cold and rainy weather. I have ridden on the highway down to 27 degrees and it kept me comfortable with only a short sleeve shirt underneath. This coat starts getting too warm above 50 degrees. I have not yet worn this coat in any kind of rain yet so I cannot comment on that. The only gripe I have with this coat is the velcro collar. I wish that it was a button, or that the velcro was flipped. The hook side of the velcro is on the right shoulder catches on the bottom of my helmet and starts chewing it up as I ride if the collar is velcro'ed open on the left side. This jacket is a tight fit. I can only fit one layer of clothing underneath. I dont see being able to wear this jacket much colder than 25 - 20 degrees F. November 27, 2012
Great for the price Jacket has worked quite well for cooler weather. Liner in, limited to a long sleeve T. Sans liner makes it great for layering. Have not been rained as of yet. So not sure of the water resistance. November 26, 2012
Great winter jacket for riders who want to be seen. I am a beginner rider and have been riding for about a month. Stylistic-wise, all your friends will make funny comments about how noticeable your jacket is, and someone even called me a human highlighter. But, hey, that's not such a bad thing on the road. I have ridden the jacket in 35 degree weather and keeps me perfectly warm. It also has a removable liner, and tons of air vents to open if you want to ride in warmer weather. In conclusion, I highly recommend this product. November 26, 2012
Tourmaster Epic I've only had it a short while, so such things as protection and air flow are still to be determined. The coat is attractive, and sizing seems correct. I also can't attest to the waterproof quality, but will address that later. The sleeves, as has been noted, are quite tight in the forearm. I will have to wear a vest under it, rather than an additional long sleeve item if needed. It's so tight that I have trouble opening and closing the zippers at the wrist. I don't exactly resemble the incredible Hulk either! I'm afraid to exchange for a larger size, for fear that the rest of the jacket will be too large. I also found, as with other Tourmaster items in the past, the zippers are not of the best quality. Overall at this price point, I feel that the coat satisfies my needs. November 21, 2012

I love your video's and breath of selections but its always late when I am searching the web and I am close to making a decision - I want to ride most of the year, primarily in Northern CA and OR, ID - I continue to loose weight but my chest and shoulders are what they are. Something with protective system, multiple layers, rain proof and breathable. as a rule I will not ride long distance in the rain unless I can not find a motel. But I do enjoy touring,

Answer:
YOu could try the tourmaster air intake 2 or air intake 3. I am 6' 3" 240. that jacket is a pretty large fit as far as motorcycle jackets go. I can layer up with 2 sweatshirts underneath for real cold weather. I have worn my air intake 2 from 90s all the way down to the 20s, sunny and rainy weather.

This jacket will not provide too much abrasion protection in a crash or a low-side, but it will keep the elements off you very well.

I live in Oregon and own Tour Master's Epic jacket and Cortech Flex pant and both work great at keeping rain out or on warmer days remove the liners. I also have a back up pair of Tour Master Sentinel Nomex Rain pant in case of really heavy rain, just in case.

Answer:
The Tour Master Epic Jacket does include a zipper that will work with any Tour Master pants that have a connection zipper on them. Additionally, the jacket also comes with the second half of the connection zipper. Thus, if you have a pair of pants from a different brand, you can take those pants along with the zipper that came with the jacket to a qualified tailor. The tailor should then be able to sew this second half of the zipper into your pants, which would then allow you to zip everything together.

Answer:
All of the jackets in question will be of similar weight as they are all "all weather/winter jackets." Typically, the weight for this particular style of jacket does not fluctuate all that much (with a few exceptions).

Answer:
I dont know about the senora, but the epic is a very very heavy jacket, In my size It weighs almost 10lbs. The weight is a good thing since the epic a cold wet weather jacket.
I dont know about the transition 3, but based on its construction, I would assume that it is similar in weight to the epic.

Live in Seattle WA. and you can imagine the rain. How do both jackets stack up to the wet and cold weather. Also it does get warm here this time of of year and would like that taken into consideration as well.

Answer:
Both jackets provide good protection against cold and rainy weather. With the quilted liners removed, and with the vents open, they also provide reasonable ventilation for warmer weather. From an abrasion resistance perspective, the Transition 3 provides slightly better protection with its 1680 Denier ballistic polyester shell in the impact areas compared to the 600 Denier of the Epic. However, the Epic does offer the Aqua-Barrier under-the helmet hood to eliminate seepage in the collar area when it rains. Otherwise, they're both great value for all-season jackets.
