What a great commuter or all around on road boot
What an excellent commuter or all around on road boot. I recently bought these boots and used them for three days worth of commuter riding to work on roads. I found them to be comfort right out of the box with no pinching or sore spots. I really like the look of these boots and they go great with a pair of jeans. These are easy on, easy off boots. They provide enough ankle support, given it's not a full-size leather boot. Although I sit at a desk most of the day at work, I experienced no discomfort at all when I did walk around. I would definitely recommend this boot to anyone looking for style, comfort, support, and great quality in a non-full size boot. Another great product Revzilla. Thanks Chris

Comfortable and did the job!
I wore my Dohas for a few years, primarily when commuting to/from work. They were comfortable enough that I could wear them all day, so no need to lug a second pair of shoes with me to change at work. Very few people give them a second glance because they look like "normal" shoes for the most part. The few people who did notice also ride and they know that I'm an "all the gear all the time" kind of guy.

After a few years of frequent wear, the soles were getting thin and I was starting to think about replacing them (with another pair, surely). So, why the past tense?

A month ago, a semi driver ran me off a rural highway at about 55mph. I totaled my bike, but my gear (including these Dohas!) did their job. While one doesn't walk away from that sort of thing without serious injury, I had almost no road rash and absolutely no foot/ankle injury. After sliding across pavement at that speed for a ways, the Dohas have a couple of small holes where they wore through and they're heavily worn overall, but they did their job. I don't expect my gear to survive through more than one crash ... one crash is all I ask for.

I absolutely plan to buy another pair!

Beyond my expectations
I wanted a low cut boot to wear at a large rally where I work and ride about 900 miles and also do a considerable amount of walking.
I liked the looks of the Doha but had some concerns: they were not waterproof; the laces could catch on the bike, and would they provide good support. I received them just before the rally and wore them every day. On days I thought it might rain I wore a pair of waterproof over-socks inside the boots. I was able to triple tie the laces and tuck the knot under the velcro strap so there was no loop to catch on the bike. Last but not least the boot has a very rigid sole and rigid heel cup and toe area that provide excellent support so I felt safe wearing them. They were also very comfortable to walk in. I'm very satisfied with my Doha's and glad I purchased them.

You get what you pay for
These boots aren't cheap, but overall they're a good value if comfort and quality are important to you.
I bought these after I did a number on my achilles tendon and couldn't get into my normal riding boots. These Sidi's were the only ones which I could manage to get my foot into; as I NEEDED to ride I forked out the bucks for a pair of Doha's. Little did I know that they would become my favorite boots to ride in, now long after my tendon has healed. They are super comfortable, and I can wear them on and off the bike all day long. For around town street riding they can't be beat, although for long high speed trips I do put on boots with more ankle protection--still, these are way more protective than non-motorcycle shoes/boots. They look good too, which isn't unimportant if you want an all day shoe like I do.
Sizewise they run about 1/2 size smaller than i normally wear, finding that I took a 12 1/2 instead of a 12.

Great for thick legs and wearing to work
I have thick ankles and calves and therefore look for a lace-up boot over other closures. I also ride to work every day and really don't want to change out of bike boots to get into work shoes. Likewise, I don't want to be sorry later for wearing street shoes while motorcycling. The Sidi Doha looked like a great compromise boot that would provide enough protection on the road while not looking dorky at the office. I have been wearing these for two days now and they are great. I did replace the paper thin innersoles with Dr. Scholls athletic shoe gel inserts for $10, which creates a significant comfort upgrade. I have a walking meeting with a co-worker to a coffee place .8 miles away every day, and the Dohas were perfectly comfortable making the 40 minute roundtrip. So I am very happy with them, albeit that they are a bit pricey. But I would say they were worth it. Only time will tell how durable they are. They fit my size 13 EE foot just fine. And like all shoes with a velcro lace guard, my thick ankles make the velcro come undone. However, the lace pattern allows me to place the velcro strap under the laces, which works just fine in terms of looks and function. I would buy these again for both commuting and wearing on the long sport-touring trips I take.

Sidi Doha
i've had sidi boots in the past and been happy. for the money these just come accross as cheap.
i don't really know how these can protect your foot much. i guess they're better than tennis shoes. i think sidi is double dipping. they must have been made as a car racing boot. wish i had bought the spidi's instead.

Inadequate
I bought these to replace my stolen Icon Field Armor boots. They are super comfortable, and don't look too ridiculous. I crash tested them, though, in a low speed drop. My ankle is still broken. I landed on carpet. Imagine if I'd fallen at high speeds on pavement. You're really not much better off with these than with a pair of basketball shoes.

Sidi Slash are better!
These shoes look great, but so do the right pair of skate shoes or converse. I really doubt their ankle protection. Also, they aren't the most comfortable shoes on the block. I ordered them, and immediately returned them for the Sidi Slash boots.

The Sidi Slash boots, on the other hand, are straight-up perfection. Yes, the price-tag is steep, but they are ohh, so well worth it.

Better than expected
This is very nice 2-3 season riding shoe. While obviously not offering the protection of a boot, there is definitely more protection offered in a 3/4 shoe than many others I have seen out there. Especially the stuff that I see other riders wearing i the summer. These are comfortable enough to wear for a day of riding and some walking around. You will never notice them on the bike, but if you do have to do a fair amount of walking throughout the day, you will start to notice you don't have on your tennis shoes. The ventilation is far better than expected considering the shoe's Construction. Overall a great buy and seem as if they will hold up for some time to come...

I bought a pair of these 10 years ago and they are the best overall street boots I have ever had. They are comfortable and last. The only reason I am buying a new pair is that my puppy got a hold of them and chewed the top strap and top of one of the boots.

I had a previous pair. My most comfortable pair of shoes. Great for riding around town when you want some protection, but want something you can wear off the bike and not look like you're an astronaut in training.

I bought a pair of these boots a few years ago. Wore them out in about 30,000 miles of street riding and commuting. They held up well to daily use but ultimately the sole wore through on the left boot. I like them enough I'm buying another pair.

So what can we expect from this shoe when riding in wet or cold weather? Is the doha more of a fair weather shoe, or can it be used in somewhat inclement weather, where it wouldn't freeze off your toes because of mesh paneling or something of the sorts? Thank you.
A shopper on Oct 22, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I just bought these, so I am only one day into them. But I get the feeling that they would be great for cold weather riding with wool socks down to the high 30s. However, I really don't know for sure, and I really don't know about performance in the wet. You could always carry overboots, though. I am planning to wear them riding year-round, but I live in Northern California, so my winters are a bit less demanding than Oregon.
copy says "...Ankle ball protection panel..." - is this just extra material or some type of plastic, or other material, panel?
Thx, Mike
A shopper on Aug 20, 2011
BEST ANSWER: I just bought the Dohas yesterday, and the ankle protection is as follows: 1) they cover your ankle, 2) there is a rubberized patch sewn on to the outside. If there is any inner magic protection, it is not evident. These are good low boots, but they are not the ultimate in protection. For me, I think they will do the trick and I ride every day.
