Great commuting shoe I bought this shoe to have an option for commuting that is comfortable and easier to take on and off than tall moto boots but still offers better protection than street shoes. Sizing is right on and they are very comfortable. My only complaint is they don't breathe very well when walking around (fine on the bike while moving), so I generally don't wear them much off the bike. I switch to street shoes for a day at the office. June 16, 2014
Great overall I love the boot, it was just what I was wanting to commute in and wear all day. Hard to find that combination. The only issue I had was that it didn't have a removable arch support and comfort liner, I just bought a good Dr. Shools and put in them. May 12, 2014
Better than expected This is very nice 2-3 season riding shoe. While obviously not offering the protection of a boot, there is definitely more protection offered in a 3/4 shoe than many others I have seen out there. Especially the stuff that I see other riders wearing i the summer. These are comfortable enough to wear for a day of riding and some walking around. You will never notice them on the bike, but if you do have to do a fair amount of walking throughout the day, you will start to notice you don't have on your tennis shoes. The ventilation is far better than expected considering the shoe's Construction. Overall a great buy and seem as if they will hold up for some time to come... April 29, 2014
Comfortable and did the job! I wore my Dohas for a few years, primarily when commuting to/from work. They were comfortable enough that I could wear them all day, so no need to lug a second pair of shoes with me to change at work. Very few people give them a second glance because they look like "normal" shoes for the most part. The few people who did notice also ride and they know that I'm an "all the gear all the time" kind of guy. After a few years of frequent wear, the soles were getting thin and I was starting to think about replacing them (with another pair, surely). So, why the past tense? A month ago, a semi driver ran me off a rural highway at about 55mph. I totaled my bike, but my gear (including these Dohas!) did their job. While one doesn't walk away from that sort of thing without serious injury, I had almost no road rash and absolutely no foot/ankle injury. After sliding across pavement at that speed for a ways, the Dohas have a couple of small holes where they wore through and they're heavily worn overall, but they did their job. I don't expect my gear to survive through more than one crash ... one crash is all I ask for. I absolutely plan to buy another pair! April 17, 2014
great awesome shoe! does its job while also looking great. January 6, 2014
Very Nice Boot The sole is stiff, but it's not a gym shoe. It's very comfortable and doesn't look like a "motorcycle boot." I could wear these as my daily shoes and only another Sidi wearer would notice. June 3, 2013
Great for thick legs and wearing to work I have thick ankles and calves and therefore look for a lace-up boot over other closures. I also ride to work every day and really don't want to change out of bike boots to get into work shoes. Likewise, I don't want to be sorry later for wearing street shoes while motorcycling. The Sidi Doha looked like a great compromise boot that would provide enough protection on the road while not looking dorky at the office. I have been wearing these for two days now and they are great. I did replace the paper thin innersoles with Dr. Scholls athletic shoe gel inserts for $10, which creates a significant comfort upgrade. I have a walking meeting with a co-worker to a coffee place .8 miles away every day, and the Dohas were perfectly comfortable making the 40 minute roundtrip. So I am very happy with them, albeit that they are a bit pricey. But I would say they were worth it. Only time will tell how durable they are. They fit my size 13 EE foot just fine. And like all shoes with a velcro lace guard, my thick ankles make the velcro come undone. However, the lace pattern allows me to place the velcro strap under the laces, which works just fine in terms of looks and function. I would buy these again for both commuting and wearing on the long sport-touring trips I take. May 2, 2013
Good Alternative to Boots Pricey pair of shoes for not being waterproof; however, these shoes provide a happy medium between protection, style and everyday wearability. They are light, comfortable and relative stylish. If you are interested in this type of shoe, I would also recommend looking at the FirstGear Kili Lo. They are about $50-60 cheaper and have a waterproof version. March 25, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Justin R: Wasn't ready for full blown boots, but I know better to ride in running shoes. And sandals - out of the question. Jun 7, 2014
larry l. h: these are comfortable boots even for every day moving. Apr 27, 2014
RD Realty Group, L: Great choice for the fashion conscious for summer touring. My girlfriend insisted! Apr 15, 2014
Damon C: I bought a pair of these boots a few years ago. Wore them out in about 30,000 miles of street riding and commuting. They held up well to daily use but ultimately the sole wore through on the left boot. I like them enough I'm buying another pair. Mar 17, 2014
A shopper asked: So what can we expect from this shoe when riding in wet or cold weather? Is the doha more of a fair weather shoe, or can it be used in somewhat inclement weather, where it wouldn't freeze off your toes because of mesh paneling or something of the sorts? Thank you. Oct 22, 2012

Stones: I just bought these, so I am only one day into them. But I get the feeling that they would be great for cold weather riding with wool socks down to the high 30s. However, I really don't know for sure, and I really don't know about performance in the wet. You could always carry overboots, though. I am planning to wear them riding year-round, but I live in Northern California, so my winters are a bit less demanding than Oregon. May 2, 2013

PatchNJ1: I was caught in the rain wearing these shoes as well as weather that was about 50 degrees and I was still very comfortable. The boot is a low boot that only covers your ankle, so it is not going to provide as much as a full boot that goes up your calf, but for the style and comfort you can't beat this boot. No mesh or open paneling to expose you to the elements. Nov 19, 2012

RevZilla: The SIDI Doha boots are more of a fair-weather boot but may be used in cooler weather when worn with appropriate winter socks. They are not specifically ventilated but have neither sealed seams nor a gaiter on the tongue so they are likely to allow air to pass through as well as water in rainy conditions. Oct 22, 2012

A shopper asked: copy says "...Ankle ball protection panel..." - is this just extra material or some type of plastic, or other material, panel?
Thx, Mike

Stones: I just bought the Dohas yesterday, and the ankle protection is as follows: 1) they cover your ankle, 2) there is a rubberized patch sewn on to the outside. If there is any inner magic protection, it is not evident. These are good low boots, but they are not the ultimate in protection. For me, I think they will do the trick and I ride every day. Chris K: There is hard part protection (plastic composite, I believe) that covers the ankle for this boot. You can actually see it in the picture from the outside of the boot. It is the piece that contains the SIDI logo. Sep 27, 2011

Fasteddy: Mike I have had my new Sidi Doha boots for a couple of weeks. I do like them they are a pair of well padded high tops with a little extra support and some nice soles. Its just extra padding everywhere. Oct 3, 2011
