Great shoe! This is my first riding shoe that I have purchased. This is a great shoe for commuting as well as wearing all day. I do wish that there was a bit more protection over the toe. All in all a great bang for its buck and very comfortable. March 11, 2015
Broke my ankle in a 5mph down in these. Avoid! For the price you're paying, you are not getting much more protection than a high-top tennis shoe. I was doing a u-turn in a parking lot, and the rear slid out due to some un-noticed gravel. No big deal, except that when I tried to stand up it did not work out so well. My advice is buy a better boot, period. These are not any safer than non-riding shoes. They look nice, and fit well, but they have no impact or ankle protection to really speak of. I also spoke to someone today who also broke their ankle in these. Maybe there's something else going on? October 7, 2014
Great for the Price Bought this boot several years ago and have had no issues with it. I use it as a commuting boot because it is comfortable on and off the bike. It does get a touch warm when walking around off the bike but it's not too bad. Overall the boot ahs held up to year round riding (SoCal/High Desert/Souther Spain) with absolutely no breakdown. I went down in them once and they didn't even suffer a scratch. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good pair of short boots for on/off bike use. September 19, 2014
TRUE REVIEW The shoe looks great and I have viewed and read all reviews for over 6 months due to the extreme cost $6.65 per OZ. This shoe is twithout a doubt the HEAVIEST i have ever lifted, its over a 1.5 lbs and its all sole. It does not come with a insole very uncomfortable, luckily i had an extra set for my sisi race boots. wereing these things feels like CLODS. Sidi went cheap and should have provided an insert. It has NO arch support and there it is, no BS review. August 15, 2014
Great commuting shoe I bought this shoe to have an option for commuting that is comfortable and easier to take on and off than tall moto boots but still offers better protection than street shoes. Sizing is right on and they are very comfortable. My only complaint is they don't breathe very well when walking around (fine on the bike while moving), so I generally don't wear them much off the bike. I switch to street shoes for a day at the office. June 16, 2014
Great overall I love the boot, it was just what I was wanting to commute in and wear all day. Hard to find that combination. The only issue I had was that it didn't have a removable arch support and comfort liner, I just bought a good Dr. Shools and put in them. May 12, 2014
Better than expected This is very nice 2-3 season riding shoe. While obviously not offering the protection of a boot, there is definitely more protection offered in a 3/4 shoe than many others I have seen out there. Especially the stuff that I see other riders wearing i the summer. These are comfortable enough to wear for a day of riding and some walking around. You will never notice them on the bike, but if you do have to do a fair amount of walking throughout the day, you will start to notice you don't have on your tennis shoes. The ventilation is far better than expected considering the shoe's Construction. Overall a great buy and seem as if they will hold up for some time to come... April 29, 2014
Comfortable and did the job! I wore my Dohas for a few years, primarily when commuting to/from work. They were comfortable enough that I could wear them all day, so no need to lug a second pair of shoes with me to change at work. Very few people give them a second glance because they look like "normal" shoes for the most part. The few people who did notice also ride and they know that I'm an "all the gear all the time" kind of guy. After a few years of frequent wear, the soles were getting thin and I was starting to think about replacing them (with another pair, surely). So, why the past tense? A month ago, a semi driver ran me off a rural highway at about 55mph. I totaled my bike, but my gear (including these Dohas!) did their job. While one doesn't walk away from that sort of thing without serious injury, I had almost no road rash and absolutely no foot/ankle injury. After sliding across pavement at that speed for a ways, the Dohas have a couple of small holes where they wore through and they're heavily worn overall, but they did their job. I don't expect my gear to survive through more than one crash ... one crash is all I ask for. I absolutely plan to buy another pair! April 17, 2014

David A: they look the business and suit what i need. Nov 28, 2014
J P: For when safety and style are both needed such as a quick jaunt to a local restaurant Sep 3, 2014
David W: I bought these to try as my first commuter shoe instead of my Sidi Adventure boots which I love for regular riding. Aug 11, 2014
Justin R: Wasn't ready for full blown boots, but I know better to ride in running shoes. And sandals - out of the question. Jun 7, 2014
larry l. h: these are comfortable boots even for every day moving. Apr 27, 2014
RD Realty Group, L: Great choice for the fashion conscious for summer touring. My girlfriend insisted! Apr 15, 2014
Damon C: I bought a pair of these boots a few years ago. Wore them out in about 30,000 miles of street riding and commuting. They held up well to daily use but ultimately the sole wore through on the left boot. I like them enough I'm buying another pair. Mar 17, 2014
A shopper asked: So what can we expect from this shoe when riding in wet or cold weather? Is the doha more of a fair weather shoe, or can it be used in somewhat inclement weather, where it wouldn't freeze off your toes because of mesh paneling or something of the sorts? Thank you. Oct 22, 2012

Stones: I just bought these, so I am only one day into them. But I get the feeling that they would be great for cold weather riding with wool socks down to the high 30s. However, I really don't know for sure, and I really don't know about performance in the wet. You could always carry overboots, though. I am planning to wear them riding year-round, but I live in Northern California, so my winters are a bit less demanding than Oregon. May 2, 2013

PatchNJ1: I was caught in the rain wearing these shoes as well as weather that was about 50 degrees and I was still very comfortable. The boot is a low boot that only covers your ankle, so it is not going to provide as much as a full boot that goes up your calf, but for the style and comfort you can't beat this boot. No mesh or open paneling to expose you to the elements. Nov 19, 2012

RevZilla: The SIDI Doha boots are more of a fair-weather boot but may be used in cooler weather when worn with appropriate winter socks. They are not specifically ventilated but have neither sealed seams nor a gaiter on the tongue so they are likely to allow air to pass through as well as water in rainy conditions. Oct 22, 2012

A shopper asked: copy says "...Ankle ball protection panel..." - is this just extra material or some type of plastic, or other material, panel?
Thx, Mike

Stones: I just bought the Dohas yesterday, and the ankle protection is as follows: 1) they cover your ankle, 2) there is a rubberized patch sewn on to the outside. If there is any inner magic protection, it is not evident. These are good low boots, but they are not the ultimate in protection. For me, I think they will do the trick and I ride every day. Chris K: There is hard part protection (plastic composite, I believe) that covers the ankle for this boot. You can actually see it in the picture from the outside of the boot. It is the piece that contains the SIDI logo. Sep 27, 2011

Fasteddy: Mike I have had my new Sidi Doha boots for a couple of weeks. I do like them they are a pair of well padded high tops with a little extra support and some nice soles. Its just extra padding everywhere. Oct 3, 2011
