Sidi Discovery Rain Boots

  • Membrane equipped to add a water resistant yet breathable barrier between the elements and the rider’s feet.
  • Soft rubber sole for maximum grip.

  • Cambrelle lining Slim, cool non-bootie design.
  • Rigid, shock resistant, anatomically shaped heel for maximum protection.
  • Split grain leather inner anti-wear/heat panel. Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.


Buckles: Sidi’s exclusive cam-lock buckle system is acknowledged as the finest system on the planet. It must be as most of Sidi’s competitors have attempted to copy various aspects of it. The cam-lock buckle system incorporates a strap memory retention system. Adjust the straps once and they will be at the same position for every ride after that! No more readjusting for every ride or mid-day during a ride.

Heat Shields: Each Sidi boot is equipped with an anti-heat undressed leather protection panel at the same height of most motorcycle’s exhaust heat shields.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Sidi off road boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash or to make a custom colored boot to match his/her personal taste.

Composite Insole: A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury.

Lining: Cambrelle is a lining that, due to its particular polyimide structure, guarantees a rapid drying rate after the boot gets wet or sweaty. This prevents the onset of mold forming which extends the boots lifespan dramatically. The Teflon treated mesh panels in the rear calf area of the boot allow humidity to escape while the boot is in use.

Very good boots! I wear these boots for adventure riding year round and offroad in the winter here in Washington state. My feet stay warm and dry, except when water has entered over the top of the boot. I would like alittle more protection, but they may lose some of their comfort. Boots are very comfortable. Boots have over 500 miles and are wearing well. January 14, 2013
Excellent heavy duty Adventure boot Very pleased with the comfort and walk-ability of these boots. Have ridden thru some 2 feet deep creek crossings feet stayed dry and warm. I also like the stable feel the sole gives when standing on the pegs. Closures are a bit tricky to set up but once you do they make the boot feel very secure. One thing that I am extremely pleased with is being able to shift and brake both seated and standing and being able to feel and locate the pedals easily which has been an issue with other Enduro Boots I've used November 12, 2012
SIDI Discovery offers great features amd protection The discovery boots are easy to put on, buckles lock securely and the footprint is good for street and sport bikes. I wanted a dual sport boot that uses buckles for a proper fit. I rechecked my foot measurements before ordering and got the size perfect right out of the box. These boots are the best choice at this price point. No question - I would buy them again. October 8, 2012
Great all weather boot. I use this boot for anything from commuting to long distance adventure touring. I love this boot! Break in was very quick. Comfortable to walk in and more importantly, comfortable on the bike. Shifter and pedal feel is great. I did have to slightly raise the shifter but not much. At first I was hesitant about spending this much but now that I've had them a few weeks I have no regrets at all. The fit seemed large and a little sloppy maybe but I just through a thin insole in them and they fit perfectly now and are even more comfortable. Feet are warm in the cold. They may be a little warm once it climbs back into the 90's but that's to be expected. They don't have the protection of a full blown motorcross boot but are much easier to move in. Buckle adjustment and in/out is easy and range of adjustment is good. Set and forget. Styling and construction is top notch. If you need a little more ankle protection then maybe go with the Adventure model. Anyways, I love this boot and it fits my needs perfectly! September 28, 2012

Comfy, combat, built to last! METAL! These boots are brutal, in a great way, metal toe cap gets respect! METAL!, no velcro to wear out. Sole is super grippy. On my tall bike, i feel way more confident putting my foot down on questionable surfaces. No more slip and drop! On the bike they are cooler than sneakers due to heat shield, off tthe bike the are super hot. Ok to stand in but tedious to walk in. I have been wearing these everywork day for 3 weeks and they are still stiff- which is what you want in a dual sport boot. Bring camp shoes for walking more than 1 mile. Shifting is hard to feel , youll get used to it in a week. Narrow toe, no adjustment needed to shift. Metalocalypse approved! July 30, 2012
Fantastic boot These do not offer as much protection as the bigger/heavier plastic motoX boots, but are still very protective and perfect for trail riding. Buckles are easy to adjust and work great. This is truly an awesome boot and if/when they wear out, I'd certainly buy them again. July 2, 2012
Good Boots I wore these Sidi Discovery Rain boots for the first time on a recent 2500-mile trip, which included a lot of highway miles and some off-road riding. The boots' fit was as expected (slightly wide for me), but I put in gel innersoles and they feel great. They performed well during the highway riding and gave me a lot of confidence re protection and firm footing when on the pegs offroad. They are warm for the SW USA, but that's to be expected. Answer: 
Yes, the metal toe cap is removable. The 2 year warranty, though, would be void if damage arose from removing it, or damage that came from not having that piece in place. We also suggest the Adventure Rain for a rider that wants the Discovery Rain but not the metal toe. Or, the Sidi Trial Zero is another option, which is practically the same model as the Discovery Rain but without the Rain liner...and the toe piece.

Answer: 
Although the soles on these boots can be replaced by a cobbler, they would not be with original Sidi soles as they are not available separately. A cobbler would likely have to custom-fit a set of their stock soles should they need to be replaced.

Yes, stitched goodyear welt dealy- o....get new soul @ aerostich.com, may need to ship it to a cobbler with italian moto boot experience. Also buckles and other hardware are either nailed, screwed or rivetted, so it all fixable!
