It is a bit backwards to think about, but 'larger' (as in XL vs LG) cheek pads are thinner then 'smaller' sized cheek pads.

For example, if you have an XL helmet and the cheek pads are two tight, you would want to purchase 2XL cheek pads.

NOTE - Shark RSR 2 Cheek Pad Peculiarities

  • Cheek pads made for large shell helmets are not interchangeable with cheek pads made for small shell helmets. Due to this fact, if you have a size Medium RSR 2 Helmet there is not a "thinner" cheek pad option that will work
  • The LG and XL Helmets both use the same cheek pads. Thus if you have a size LG helmet, the only way to get thinner cheek pads would be to get the 2XL cheek pads (which are dramatically thinner)

If the cheekpads barely touch your cheeks, then I would go with an XS. However, it sounds to me like you may have the wrong shell size too. Feel free to give us a call at 877-792-9455 to discuss sizing. The fitment at the crown of your head is the most important.
