I have looked long and hard for the "right" helmet for me that doesn't cost a fortune, and I found what I was looking for with this helmet. I have a narrow/oval head, which limits my helmet choices if I want a proper fit. This helmet is more intermediate oval than what I would call long oval, but it's definitely not neutral or round.
Anyone who says this helmet is loud either bought the wrong size, has a head shape that doesn't match the helmet shape, or both. I wear custom molded earplugs when I ride, and this helmet without earplugs is quieter than either Shoei I own WITH earplugs. The shell of this helmet is fairly deep, which puts the neck roll well below the jawline, significantly decreasing wind noise. If you buy the wrong size, or if your head is the wrong shape for this helmet, the neck roll will not be able to block the wind, and yes....it will be loud.
At just over 1500g for a large, this helmet is lighter than almost every single helmet of the same size you will find, including Arai and ESPECIALLY Shoei. The light weight, coupled with awesome aerodynamics, significantly decreases neck strain. Although this helmet only has a chin and a top vent it has very good airflow.
My only complaints with this helmet are the chin strap and the vent construction. The chin strap does not have a snap for the end after it is buckled. It's more like a belt where you tuck the loose end through a loop. It's not a huge deal, but I prefer the button. The vents are roller-style and slightly cumbersome to operate with gloves on. The wheels are pretty small and slightly recessed. The top vent wheel, if pressed too hard, will snap out of its retainer inside the scoop. It's an easy fix; just pull the scoop off the helmet (it's held on by double sided tape) put the wheel back where it belongs, and stick the scoop back on the helmet. I'm not sure how many times you could do this before the tape would no longer hold the scoop in place, so don't press on the wheel too hard.
Overall, this is a great helmet. The few things I'm not particularly fond of are greatly outweighed by the features I love. Make sure this helmet matches your head shape, and I'm sure you'll be as happy with it as I am.

The only complaint I have is the noise level in this helmet when I go above 60mph. It sounds like you are at the end of a wind tunnel and wind is howling loudly. To remedy this, I use earphones. The fit is good, very smug but not tight.

This is a very nice helmet for the price. I'm not sure this is an issue but the build date on the helmet was in 08; 3 years ago. It is for the wife as she picked the design. Fit was fine with the exception of the cheek pads. They are tight for the size we purchased. I guess we should have expected this from a review I read in Web Bike World. Unfortunately, Revzilla is out of the smaller sizes for the helmet and since it is out of production, I don't expect they will have them in the future. Packing and shipping was excellent from Revzilla as usual.
