The Roadster V3 is a performance boot specifically designed for aggressive roadster riders.

Maximum Stability: Thanks to the 360° degree ankle protection cockpit, which combines TPU molds and inner foam inserts, this boot offers improved stability as well as lateral impact protection.

Impact Protection: Using TPU inserts on the medial and lateral ankle level and toe box inserts in the forefoot, for increased protection in the event of a crash.

Improved Traction: Due to the outsole being derived from the PUMA 1000 V3 Racing boot, the traction has been improved for maximum grip.

Needs zipper protection I bought these boots about a year ago and they were comfortable right out of the box which was a huge plus and great for riding all day and walking around but it kind of went down hill after the first few months. I ride a Ducati 1098S with the full Termi exhaust and I didn't think much of it at the time when I pulled the boots out of the box but but after a few months of hard riding and commuting I noticed that the zipper area was beginning to melt on the right boot from the heat of the exhaust even with the heat shield supplied with the exhaust and it just got worse as time went on until it melted a hole in the boot and destroyed the zipper, also the sole of the boot is not a solid piece of rubber like the Alpinestars are and after time the grooved rubber on the left sole was completely gone where the shifter wore a hole through the rubber and made shifting awkward. I have since switched to a different brand of boot for the same price that are designed better. March 28, 2013

It's good. A bit on the expensive end for what it's worth, but it's a good pair of boots. Got in an accident in the past month and my feet would have been smashed if not for these boots. I got out in one piece with nothing but a few bruises. It looks good and feels good. I rode out in the rain more than a few times and the boots have kept my feet dry, even my socks didn't get wet, I'm talking heavy rain! During the summer, it gets a bit hot, but not enough for me to have to take it off. I'd assume it's decent for cold weather riding as well. November 19, 2012
Poor quality product and even worse quality care by PUMA I bought an earlier version of these boots and they degraded very quickly. Got holes in the bottom of the boots and and the zipper ripped. November 1, 2012
Good boot but needs refinement. The boot is overall very good but discovered two annoying things. 1. Isn't waterproof - the flexible forefoot section allows water through. 2. The zip on the inside ankle is difficult to close. It's not isolated, it's on both boots, it's the zip type and the hard shell behind the zip liner. October 16, 2012
Great puma style This is my first pair of riding specific boots and I can definitely feel the difference between these and combat-style boots. The ankle protection is awesome, lots of shin protection, and the toes feel very reinforced as well. The stiff sole gives great feel of the bike. They are flexible enough to walk in still though. I wouldn't mind wearing riding to lunch and wearing them around for a bit. And they don't have a bunch of metal and plastic sliders hanging off everywhere to make you look like a robot. The style on them is awesome. Fit wise, I usually wear a 10.5/44 in Puma and these fit spot on (the tag is marked US 11/Euro 44). Puma's tend to run a bit small, so do yourself a favor and try on a pair of Puma sneakers at the mall before you order the boots. The toe area of the boot does fit a bit snug top-to-bottom but I can still wiggle my toes fine, they don't go numb or anything just a little bit of pressure. Not a lot of airflow so expect warm feet on a warm day. The closure is quick and convenient for easy on off and allows you to wear them over your pants or under. July 18, 2012
Great fit, finish, and form I'm a new rider that wanted something that looked good, felt shoe-like, but would still offer more support and protection over a shoe and/or non-motorcycle boot. I've always been a fan of Puma shoes so these seemed like a good fit (no pun intended). The boot appears well made with an almost shoe-like appearance if worn under jeans. And yes, they do fit under jeans so long as they aren't skinny jeans. I'm able to wear them under my jeans with the boots pulled just a bit tighter at the top (Velcro). My only gripe, an extremely minor one at that, is that the zipper does not extend further up the boot under the Velcro portion. It would be nice if the zipper could be tucked away. This isn't much of an issue as I wear jeans over them, but would still be a nice-to-have feature. July 16, 2012
Great boot for the price A wonderful boot considering its price. It looks great and feels great, it also tends to get one some very nice compliments. It also fits quite well under a jean and is very comfortable to walk around in for long periods making it a nice boot to wear to work or where ever you need to be. May 9, 2012

The brown leather, at least on my screen appears to be very dark, almost a dark chocolate or brownish black--is this accurate or is the brown leather lighter, more traditional brown (as opposed to the very dark brown)?

The brown is very dark, like chocolate as you said...though I don't recommend trying to eat it.

Answer: 
It would depend on how baggy or tight the jeans are at the bottom. These boots will not work well under tighter jeans, however they will fit under baggier/ boot cut jeans.

Depends on what jeans you wear. If you're wearing relaxed or boot cut pants, they'll probably fit. I don't know for sure if they'd fit with straight jeans, but I know they won't fit with skinnies or slims.

Definitely. My New Drake Air pants (very slim) manage to just fit over these boots so normal jeans would be fine. Slim-fit/chick-jeans, no chance. The shin padding is significant.
